FerroAxel7 237 Posted November 17, 2014 Let's say you just beat Kingdom Hearts 3. Whether it be a satisfying ending or not, there will be more titles past KH3. So what can you see for the future of the Kingdom Hearts series? It doesn't have to be connected to Sora and his friends. It could be a brand new story with new characters. And based on those new characters, would they weave in the original KH cast? What do you see in the future, past Kingdom Hearts 3? 1 luka reacted to this
HarLea Quinn 26,501 Posted November 17, 2014 Nomura has already confirmed Sora will remain the main protagonist . He also said he will tie up all the loose ends in the Xehanort Saga. So KH4 will be a new story and whatnot but Sora will still be the hero. I'm also sure Nomura will incorporate all the other main characters except Xehanort as well. 12 Demyx., Movies798, Firaga and 9 others reacted to this

I was hoping for a new protag. Not that I don't like Sora, but I want some new blood in the series that's had pretty much the same main characters since BBS. Firaga 5,947 Posted November 17, 2014 We need Kingdom Hearts III before we can talk about post-Kingdom Hearts III. Badly. I don't have a clear picture of what lies ahead after III. All I can see is that Sora and his friends get a little older, Sora will probably finally be a Master by then, all of his friends who he saved in III (I assume) will be living normal lives, and then some other great force of Darkness will come around and mess things up. Not Xehanort obviously because he'll be long gone by then. 2 luka and HarLea Quinn reacted to this

He wants us to relate to him . So we shall see on that . Nomura changes his mind a lot . 6 AwesomeKHfan, Keyblader_95, luka and 3 others reacted to this

Yah, but who's to say that Nomura won't just.. Change his mind? I love Sora, he's my favorite KH character, but some new blood would be nice. I just don't want them to stretch Sora too far. Just having him go on another journey right after Xehanort seems... Really sad, or... Rude? I mean come on, the guy needs some rest. Sure, the journey could take place years after, but I'm not sure of how fans would react to an adult Sora. 3 AwesomeKHfan, HeyMouseSayCheese and FerroAxel7 reacted to this

Master Eraqus 1,340 Posted November 17, 2014 (edited) I'm being serious when I say this: I believe that the next saga will be less complex and more understandable to us. What I mean is that I believe that Nomura will plan most or the entire main plot of the next saga. I also believe that the Xehanort Saga or the KH series till now has been complex simply because they didn't really plan the entire story out for it, that the first game was left open to a sequel because they didn't think it would be such a famous game, therefore having Nomura to come up with crazy ideas to build up and explain things that happened and how they happened. When the next saga arrives, I believe that it will have a much more understandable plot while of course still having some of the plot elements from the Xehanort Saga, like the Heartless and Nobodies, Keyblades and all the rest. I'm also hoping for a less convoluted storyline. And certainly with less time travel. It's kind of a cop out to me and I hope they exclude the ideals of time travel for the next saga. Though the concept has already been established, it will probably be used again. Better not be in the next saga. I'll be pissed. Aside from Doctor Who I hate time travel . It's a cheap plot device. 3 HeyMouseSayCheese, FerroAxel7 and AwesomeKHfan reacted to this

That's one of the cons of Dream Drop Distance. I really hope they don't time travel again. Infact, if the next Saga feature an adult Sora and the Saga after that features an old Sora and if that's the last Saga then it would be perfect for me. 2 TurtleDay and AwesomeKHfan reacted to this

HeyMouseSayCheese 1,133 Posted November 17, 2014 (edited) Reliving ancestor's memories through technology and actual literal time travel are a little different. (Plus, most AC games have shit story anyway.) Edited November 17, 2014 by HeyMouseSayCheese

I personally wouldn't mind an adult Sora either, but I get the feeling that the "Mega fans" (as if) would get mad, saying it ruins the point or something like that. 1 Kittenz reacted to this
Kittenz 4,281 Posted November 18, 2014 No procreation plot, please... At least, not involving Sora or Kairi in anyway. Someone else, maybe...but in this series it isn't important nor wanted as the focus is on friendship and such. Had that in enough cliche stories already and it makes me barf......No offense Did I mention it is a huge cliche? Screw mainstream plot choices, go the roads less traveled, Nomura. Jermaine 79 Posted November 19, 2014 It's unfortunate because I think the only way KH survives is aformentioned "new blood".(My perfect scenario is sora's kid grows up, sora get's killed by some evil, and sora's son goes off and stops him, but that's way to dark for "disney." I'm not sure what they can do, because they'd basically be starting from scratch.
