SRKTVAMDGRLXN 232 Posted November 16, 2014 (edited) OK, guys, I really hope I'm not the only one who gets annoyed (to no end) and upset when I see these fanboys arguing with each other like this: "Ah, who's/what's better (which comics are better): Marvel, DC, Dark Horse, Image, Mirage or Mangas?" or then "Which TV show's better: Dragon Ball, Naruto, One Piece or Saint Seiya? Arrow, The Flash, Gotham or Agents of Shield? Pokémon or Digimon?". And let's not forget about the games (consoles included), too: "League of Legends or DOTA? Call of Duty, Titanfall, Destiny or Battlefield? Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat? Mario or Sonic? PS, XBOX, PC or NINTENDO?" among many other well-known rivalries. What really annoys me is not the rivalries between the companies themselves (because this will ALWAYS EXIST, competition is an essential/important part of life), but between the fanbase, to the point that it gets to insults, curses/offenses, misunderstandings and hate. As an example, let's talk about the recently released Avengers 2 trailer. I don't know if you guys read comments while the video is loading, but if you notice how many comments there are of people criticizing the movie in a negative way (saying ''This's gonna be the most overrated movie of 2015, or things like, "This trailer/story sucks" or even like this one: "Justice League will put this movie to shame once it's released"), you will get very surprised. Not only that, there are users who reply to these comments (saying: "DC fanboys are crying now", "Haters gonna hate", "You must work for DC to write this, don't you?") and many other kinds of replies. PLEASE, GUYS, GROW UP...IS THERE ANY RULE TELLING US WE CAN'T ENJOY EVERY, EVERYTHING, AT THE SAME TIME, SAME DEGREE? I really love (REALLY LOVE) all, ALL (and many, MANY MORE not mentioned here) the topics (comics companies, TV shows and games) I mentioned in the first paragraph equally (seriously, equally). And I don't keep fanboying any of them. If there's ever a discussion again like who would win: "Goku or Superman?", use your brain, expose your opinion if you want to and respect the other person's one. No insults, no offenses, no hating, no fanboy arguments, no disrespect. I'm completely aware this site might not be the best place to write this, however, I just wanted to expose my opinion, because I'm pretty sure there might be some users here who feel the same thing, right? I wonder if someday we'll ever be able to live in a world where we can expose our opinions and thoughts and, at the same time, respect other people's ones and don't offend each other...(Oh, and sorry for the repetitions. That was just to emphasize my likings) LOVE AND PEACE... Edited November 22, 2014 by SRKTVAMDGRLXN 2 GotMilk5101520 and griann reacted to this
griann 59 Posted November 16, 2014 I feel ya. And to answer your question: No, I do not believe that all human beings will ever be able to express opinions/have discussions without offending others. I do believe however, that there are plenty of people who can and those people pass it on to the next generation, how to respectfully discuss something. I just don't think that every human being will do that, simply because we're humans. Being humans, we have emotions and other stuff that will make us offend others. Plus, some people are not taught, how to properly argue and end up offending on accident, though that's something that can happen really quick. Some people are more sensitive than others and if you don't know the person well enough, you might end up offending that person without realizing. So, I don't think that it will ever be completly peaceful, I couldn't care less about any fandom wars as long as they stay as fandom wars in words and don't turn into an actual war. Humans are diverse and some will get along with others, while others won't. Always been that way and I highly doubt there's something that can be done about that other than ignoring it. 1 SRKTVAMDGRLXN reacted to this

YOU'RE SO RIGHT, my friend...It's so depressing seeing all those fanboys arguing and insulting each other, just to decide which topic overpowers the other...(e.g LOL or DOTA). 1 griann reacted to this
OmegaForte 1,674 Posted November 16, 2014 The Pokemon fanbase is the most obnoxious and ignorant when it comes to Pokemon vs Digimon. They never back up their opinions, it's like talking to a wall. The Digimon fanbase is stupid on themselves; they critize the English version far more than it deserves. (Except Xros, the naming isn't consistent for staters). 1 SRKTVAMDGRLXN reacted to this

Yeah...Please, people, respect each other's opinions...If not even the company of the topics mentioned before does that, what gives you guys the right to do it? GotMilk5101520 573 Posted November 17, 2014 You betcha... The fanbase is the reason why i don't play CoD or getting an Xbox. But i'm not saying CoD sucks as well as the Xbox, i think CoD looks awesome and the Xbox pretty good. 1 SRKTVAMDGRLXN reacted to this

The consoles fanbases are surely one one the most agressive I've ever seen in my entire life, my friend...you're so right...
Shulk 8,623 Posted November 18, 2014 Complete fanboy rage is annoying, but there's absolutely nothing wrong with a discussion about what people prefer. As long as everyone stays civil about it, it's perfectly fine to ask "What's your favorite game/TV show/movie/anime/book/etc?" You might as well say people aren't allowed to share their opinions if you think that asking that is an example of a fight between hardcore, immature fanboys. 2 SRKTVAMDGRLXN and Soul Eater Evans reacted to this
Philip Ellwell 5,487 Posted November 18, 2014 Make fanfictions, not war These petty fights are just that: petty. I don't even know why it happens. You want a flame war? Look up ANY, I do mean ANY Maleficent trailer, and watch the madness of the Disney fans versus other people online fighting like a pack of feral dogs. Fanboys can fanboy, but is it needed to start wars? 1 SRKTVAMDGRLXN reacted to this

I understand your point of view and I agree completely, my friend, but, let's be honest: it just takes one person to expose her opinion on why she doesn't like something, and then, everybody attacks, isn't it?
