I'm making these topics/polls about various what ifs/head-canons the KH fandom, or at least parts of it, share and putting up a poll to see if people would like the idea and to discuss the likelyhood of it ever happening/being true.

My thoughts on the topic

Sora and Kairi ruling radiant garden is an idea a few fans I know seem to share, as well as a couple on tumblr. But I think it would be more likely for Ansem to come back to his old life, or for the whole idea to never happen.

However, if It did happen, considering how laid back the people of this world are with these things, I doubt they would get married or anything like that(Besides, like that would fit in KH), they'd just be given the title.

This could sate some peoples depressed attitude that Sora doesn't get to be a master, because he would be a King instead.

However, There are a few problems with this idea.

Firstly, Sora and or Kairi, would probably refuse something like that because of the responsibilities as keyblade weilders. Sora might be all *_* for a moment, but then he'd snap out of it and say no.

While Kairi is a PoH, there isn't evidence to state be actually belongs in this position.

Now for the Riku. Some peeps suggest Riku instead. But again, Riku would probably refuse, and we haven't a single reason why he would rule the place. Not to mention, if Riku got to be a master and a king of some kind, the fandom would be displeased.

So basically, in my opinion, the most logical is yuffie, leon, etc or Ansem.

Of course, there could always be a way of working these other ideas in somehow

just the Restoration Committee themselves; no additives.

Restoration committee juice. Safe for cannibals. No added preservatives except for the balls of moogles.

I'm sorry

Leon should be the figurehead running everything.

Peace!

I agree. In fact, I was thinking of adding that to the poll, but I wasn't sure

The Committee, because democracy.

I was also thinking what they'd do after Xehanort is defeated. I figured Sora would probably accept his responsibilities as a Keyblade Wielder and travel between worlds training, saving, or saty in Land of Departure to practice with other masters.

just for a the record, I like the fact that Sora isn't a master (at least not yet) Just because it stops him from seeming to over powered in a way... I always say failure allows for growth. Also I didn't even know Radiant Garden needed a ruler... the Ideas are interesting but I doubt this game would care too much about politics...

Riku with a girl he originally met while helping Maleficent.
This would be because Sora and Kairi chose NOT to be the rulers; what would Sora know about running any entire planet?  This could also give Riku a role following Master Xehanort's fall and the end of Ansem, The Seeker of Darkness.

Yet, Leon, Aerith, Yuffie, Cid, Merlin, and anyone else on the Radiant Garden Restoration/Reconstruction Committee we haven't seen just yet could be his "Cabinet/Royal Assistants" and help defend and operate the city, too.

Of course, this is REALLY an idea based on my own Kingdom Hearts Fan-Fictions.

For me it really depends on how they go about it. On the one hand I could totally see and would definitely love to see Ansem the Wise return even wiser and rule Radiant Garden as a symbol of unity for the many worlds out there, starting as an inspiration to connect the many worlds rather than leave them isolated. But on the other hand I could totally see the Restoration Committee being in charge, it's really cool to see a team dynamic trying to keep everything in harmony, and it would make more sense for Leon and the gang to want and unite all worlds through some sort of transit system or something. Both would be really good ideas, but I see no reason why they can't coexist either. If anything, it would be interesting to see if Ansem would have some sort of Radiant Garden conservation or unification committee or something like that. Clearly he would be impressed by Leon and co.'s efforts to rebuild and maintain the spirit of his citizens. I'd really like to see them team up more than anything.

Or maybe it'll become some kind of democratic constitutional monarchy or something, I don't know. xP

Just because the Restoration Committee cleaned up the world, doesn't give them the know-how/right to rule the world itself. When everything's fixed and it comes time for that political BS rulers need to deal with for their day job, why not give back the title to the person who's already the king? Ansem was a perfectly fine rule until Ienzo and the others booted him into the Realm of Darkness, and he got all pissed off and dark and angsty. From his relationship with the world, and the roles of the other characters, I can't see it be anyone but Ansem.

It is Ansem the Wise's Kingdom; therefore, he should retake his throne. He will become like Yen Sid

Kairi is not a princess in the sense like Aurora. It is just a term for not having to say," The 7 girls with hearts of pure light."

Sora ain't ever going to think about runnin' a kingdom

Riku is awkward.

The Committee is the only second option.

Either the Restoration Committee or the original ruler, Ansem The Wise. I'm more expecting the RC though because the chances of Ansem The Wise being relevant again are sort of slim. Though knowing KH in general, he'll probably come back. Then again, we might get a curveball thrown at us and he ends up staying in the RoD or dare I say he dies... and then comes back in KHIV.

Isn't that technically an oligarchy?I'm for full-on democracy. Then the story can pick up years later when the people have mucked things up and declared war on other worlds, and it's up to new Keyblade wielders to stop them without destroying their system of governance.

It's democracy if the people choose the committee members.
