Eon Ticket Distribution in Pokemon ORAS

If you want an Eon Ticket—the item in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire that will allow you to catch Latias and Latios, respectively—be sure to turn on your Nintendo 3DS family system’s StreetPass function. That’s because the only way you can get the Eon Ticket right now is if it’s passed to you by someone who already has it! Once you have the Eon Ticket, you can revisit Southern Island in your game, where you can then catch the Legendary Pokémon that you would not otherwise have a chance to catch!

 

Some lucky Trainers will be the original Eon Ticket holders, who will kick off sharing the Eon Ticket with others in their area. In the United States, Play! Pokémon League Leaders will be given codes to distribute to participants at nearly a thousand Pokémon League locations.

 

So keep your StreetPass on and hang out with other Pokémon Trainers to get your own Eon Ticket! We recommend that you spend time at Pokémon events such as tournaments to improve your chances of getting it. Good luck!

So... anyone else kinda ticked off at how the Eon Ticket is being distributed, since basically anyone who lives outside of a heavily populated area is pretty much firetrucked over if you ever want to get both Latios and Latias natively in your game?

I think this idea is ridiculous. Why not just do wifi seriously. Basically a small portion of the game is locked away without a street pass from people who own it. I get tons of streetpasses but I highly doubt any of them play the card game or whatever. It will spread, but not fast.

I don't hang out with a lot of people on a normal basis, so the only way I could get the ticket is if someone I knew had it or had a chance of getting it. As of now that would not be anyone I know.

Yeah, Especially since I could swear that eirlier they said they'd be available to catch during normal gameplay.

I'm pretty sure the catching during the normal gameplay thing involves on the opposite Lati of the version.Latios = OR, or Latias - AS, I'm pretty sure the Eon Ticket is needed to revisit the island to catch Latios = AS, or Latias  = OR.

Ah Okay. As long as I can get one. IIRC you couldn't get either in the original games without the ticket.

Also, I'm pretty sure Latios = OR, anor Latias = AS, during th emains tory of OR/AS join your team at the first visit automatically if I recall correctly.

That's what I was talking about. I though Gamefreak changed their minds about you getting them.
