The Overly Almighty (RP)

Recommended Posts

He took a single breath, and knew it was that time. The Gods were growing restless, the stars falling into oblivion. There weren't too many left for them to claim. Constantly at war with one another, the Gods of the Cosmos laid their eyes upon the two stars, Raytos and Vaneté. Untouched for centuries, the two realms offered much. The Gods, with a new goal in sight, rushed towards their beloved trophy. He exhaled, preparing for new arrivals. Xethan mourned.~Satchel Brooks~ "Would you hurry up in there? It's been about forty minutes now!" Desi cried out. Satchel hadn't really noticed the time passing by, he was too busy worrying about getting his attire ready for the show. He wouldn't allow a single speck of dust to be visible, No sir! Not even from a foot away. He took one last look in the mirror before giving himself the "okay" mark. He gave his hair an extra brush just in case, and opened the bathroom door. "Took you long enough! You're not the only one who needs to look perfect!" Desi forced her way into the room, pushing Satchel out with every movement. She wasn't paying attention, apparently. She somehow managed to shut the door on her blonde hair, which wasn't even that long to begin with. This was an average day for them; A rushed start, skipping breakfast, and wasting time they didn't have. While Desi toiled away on her looks, Satchel would lay upon his knees and pray to the God, Menté. Even though the legend says that he was dead, Satchel always felt a duty to pray to him everyday. Where do Gods go when they die? He wondered. If we're supposed to be at the sides of the Gods when we die, where do we go if there aren't any left?

Seto Dedan

Seto wiped the sweat from his brow. he had been up since dawn, tending to the fields, milking the cows, and feeding the livestock. the chickens were always so rambunctious when he walked in with food. He had just tilled up some of the wheat field, because last seasons crop on his fathers farm had been less than satisfactory, so he wanted to make extra sure he would have a good harvest. he didnt like having to sell more livestock than anticipated. He took the plow in to the barn, and walked over to the cows. Trisha, his prize milk cow, was grazing in the field fenced off connected to the barn where the cows were kept. He walked up to her and gently patted her on the head. "youre a good girl, you know that?" as he was praising her, he herd a rustle in the bushes just past the field. he knelt down, and listened. "there it was agian" he thought. he carefully considered when the noise was coming from, held out his palm, and fired a small, compressed blast of air out. it hit the deer straight in the flank, knocked it over, and stunned it. he walked over, took out his hip knife, and finished the job. he hauled it back to his farm, cleaned it up, and began preparing the meat so that it could be preserved. "Something about doing it yourself just....feels good." He liked earning his living on the farm.

Jubilea Wenway

Jubilea walked out of her home in her beautiful velvet dress with an ever so bored look on her face. When she opened the door, it hit a small tower of packages by it. She glared at it for a second, not expecting any of the mail to be for her. She picked the packages up and looked at the addresses and names.

"Tribal...Tribal...Tribal...Oh dear...Why must this person have so many packages? Oh, whoever delivered this was...obviously delirious. Oh well. I'd best be on my way."

She carried all of the mail in her arms and then floated up into the sky, towards the address of the recipient.

"This visit better be worth the flight. Oh dear gods, please keep this visit valuable...", Jubilea said with her bored face.

Ken Decimone

Ken sat alone and cold in his dorm room after being finished with his studies.

     "It's so coooold...", he whined.

He was sitting on his bed near the window, and as always, it was snowing. He decided to stand up and go for a walk around the area. He figured some moving around would warm him up. He took his gray scarf and headed out the door. When he got outside, he shifted his eyes around the area, making sure no one was around. After seeing it was clear, he focus deeply and slightly raised his hands. In a flash, he blasted a magic squall of ice on the ground and it spread throughout the small of the area. He smiled and then proceeded to ice skate around the area like an idiot. He hummed a dainty little tune as he did this. However, he was too distracted to notice all of the cars that passed by.

"I wonder if there's anything going on today. Guess I'd better go look around.", he thought.

After he thought this, he skated around the town, out and about, looking for something to pass the time.

-Aerin Masamune-

Aerin wiped a drop of sweat from his head. He had been in a ruins, outside of the city of Hace, researching for about hours. "No sign of any type of useful clues around here," Aerin sighed. He couldn't meet a roadblock when he planned to achieved a huge plan. After a few minutes later, Aerin decided to pick up his bags and walk out. On his way out, however, he noticed something that hadn't been there before. Aerin looked down and squatted to see words encrypted in stone. The words were in an ancient language that Aerin was very familiar with. "This must be it," Aerin said happily. He read and concentrated on what these words meant:

"The... Superpowers... will lead you......."

As seto was preparing his catch, the winds whipped up. this was a common enough occurrence, but ever since he developed his powers, something about a windy day just gave him a shiver. He was happy with his work for the day, especially because he had that unexpected little catch with the deer. he decided to take a personal day and head down to the local library. He began coming through the books there, like he had done time and time again. He wanted to find any info he could find gods of the world. he had heard stories of the overly and almighty family back when he still lived on his parents farm, among people. stories that insinuated they were the source of his power. He became curious, so now, every once in a while, seto set up shop in a quiet corner surrounded by stacks of books on the mythology of the region.

(Here we go!)

The Aegis Brothers

Tao yawned while looking at his wanted poster. It seems as if he and his brother, Kuzan, were both wanted for 400 million each. "Hey Kuzan, look at this," Tao said to him showing the wanted poster. The two were sitting by a well in the town square. Kuzan was busy researching but looked at the wanted posters. "Hm.. it seems as if we're dangerous people. Are these all over the town?" Kuzan asked. Tao nodded. "It would seem so," he replied. The city of Hace in Vanete was a bustling area where the ocean air and cloudless skies made it comfortable to hang out like they did. "Anyway when's Aerin getting back? Its been almost forever!" Tao complained. "We'll wait as long as we have to," Kuzan quickly replied while turning a page of his book. Though the two were wanted, they did not fear the public as others would. The two awaited their companion.

~Satchel~ Satchel raced out into the streets of Hacé, hoping he wouldn't be too late for set up. The Synagog of Faunte was known for the large amount of passerby's that come along- which always made it the perfect place to host a show. While they weren't allowed to go inside, they could always perform outside. Passing the Trading Post near the docks, left of the Electronics Emporium, down the Ally, and finally a right onto Claire Street would lead you to the towering cathedral. Hues of Green and Blue would descend upon the streets from the large bell tower, which rung every day for service. There, straight ahead, were his fellow actors, waiting for him and Kali to arrive. "What took you so long, Satchel?" A woman of brunette, Lydia, inquired. The one standing next to her, Blanca, simply added on words of agreement. The other three stood silently, awaiting his response. "Sorry, I..." He started, but couldn't finish. "Whatever, it's fine." One of the silent boys, Kris, spoke up. "Where's Desi?" "On her way, sorry." "Stop apologizing, Satch. You didn't do anything!" Jazzy was probably the most understanding of that group. She had come from some other place that she never really talked about, nor did she wish to. She had darker skin than the rest of them, which really was what made her stand out in this city. She stood between Kris and Jacob, who continued to give Satchel the annoyed glare. "You're right, sorr- er, you're right. Oh, there's Desi!"

Zaffic Azurion walked through the streets of Hace, looking at the people around him.  They disgusted him, living their lives carefree with all this technology, while people in his world have no such thing and must struggle without it.  He would make them pay though, make them experience what he had to.  He started crackling with electricity, causing lights and devices around him to flicker, before causing a blackout.

The Ageis Brothers

"A blackout?" Tao asked looking up. The streets started to show no light and machinery stopped operating. "That couldn't be. This city runs on a nearly limitless supply of hydroelectricity. Unless the converters are out of service or down, there's no way this could be a normal blackout," Kuzan replied as he turned another page of his book. Tao sighed. "You know so much about things that aren't important," Tao said. Just then, the two saw something crackling as if lightning encircled a body. Kuzan stood up and put his book away. "Tao," Kuzan said calmly. "Yeah, I know," Kuzan replied drawing his katana.

"We can't allow someone to attack the city Aerin is trying to research for the completion of our plan."

Aerin Masamune

Aerin exited the ruins with a scroll in his hand. He had a smile on his face as if he had accomplished something. "I now have the location of the Temple of Void. My work at these ruins is done," Aerin sighed with relief. He had been researching for long hours and he was happy that he could relax for a little while.

Zaffic noticed two people drawing their weapons and approaching him. He smirked and said to himself "This will be interesting." He kept his sword sheathed for now, not thinking he needed it just yet.

Jubilea Wenway

Jubilea had finally made it to her destination. It was quite a long flight, but nothing she wasn't used to. She landed in a quaint little village with that neutral look of fatigue in her eyes. She walked through the village towards a home near a butcher shop. She walked to the door and knocked on it.

"Pardon me!~ I believe that you have packages to receive!", she shouted.

"Should I leave them by your doorstep, or..."

She put her ear on the door, slightly annoyed. However, when she did, the door seemed to be unlocked, and it slipped open. She fell flat on her face on the floor of the house. Luckily, she kept the packages safe in her small hands. Jubilea groaned in pain and annoyance and looked up. The house was dark and barren. It smelled of dead flowers, rotten ginger, and old meat. It was pretty much a dump. She got up on her feet in anger. She then realized that her nose was bleeding because of her fall. She growled and rudely dropped the mail on the floor, and it made a loud shattering noise.

She scoffed. However, a small little glint from across the room caught her eye. She tilted her head, and walked into the dark room toward the little shine of light. She walked to a small table and looked down at it. She saw a small, but beautiful pigeon blood ruby. Entranced, she picked it up and  examined it. She wanted, no, needed this. Then, she heard a loud pound from behind her. She turned around to see a large, bearded man at the door.

     "Hey!", the man shouted.

Jubilea wasted no time escaping. She rushed past the man and out the door with incredible speed. The man grabbed her sleeved and torn off the fabric, nearly getting her.

"Oi! Get back here, ya' squirming thief!", the man shouted as he ran after her.

Jubilea took one hop before flying up into the air. Her flight was a little disorientated. She was happy to get out of there, and to have the small ruby in her possession. She smiled insanely as she flew through the air, totally ignoring her bloody nose flowing freely.

Aegis Brothers

Tao and Kuzan looked at the only calm figure in the madness. The people ran around in panic and frantically searched for a home they could all reside. "Kuzan, he has a sword," Tao said to him. Kuzan shook his head. "I can sense that he doesn't use Vis. So he must have an ability of his own. I'm gonna take a wild guess and say it has something to do with the blackout," Kuzan said. "Electricity?" Tao asked. "If so, then I can take care of him easily," Kuzan replied quickly. Tao nodded and walked up to the man.

"Oi. Did you cause the blackout? If so, are you trying to destroy this town?" Tao shouted to the man.

Zaffic glared at the person who approached him.  "You dare speak to me?" he said, the electricity crackling around him even more.  "You and your people, living in luxury with all this technology, while my people make do with what they can.  You have no idea what we go through to survive every day, but I will change that, and nobody will stop me!"  He thrust his hand out at Tao, sending a blast of electricity at him.

Tao dodged the attack. "I can tell your attack patterns are simple," Tao shouted at the man. "You know, we're not part of this city. However, since you've attacked us already, we've no choice," Tao said. Kuzan opened his book once more and sat in a corner to read. "You take care of him Tao. I actually came here thinking we had a tough opponent to fight," Kuzan sighed. Tao gripped his katana and closed his eyes. He had to concentrate. One wrong move and he just might get toasted!

"You guys are pretty cute. Play fighting and all that." A voice said from the shadows of an alley behind the Aegis Brothers and Zaffic. A tall dark figure stepped out from the shadows. He took a deep breath, sniffing the air. "Man does it smell good around here! Must be you guys." He turned his eyes to them. Sylar stood, leaned back slightly, hands in his jacket pockets. His calm expression seemed odd for the situation. He finally stood up to his full height. He cocked an eyebrow at the others. "You two have some scrumptious powers. I will not lie. I want them." Sylar said, his expression becoming darker. He didn't wait for the others to start. He pulled a lamppost out of the ground with his telekinesis, and hurled it at Kuzan.

"Only because I am not even trying." he said.  He raised his hand in the air, and shot electricity into the sky.  Moments later, lightning began to fall from the sky all around him, heading for the others.

Kuzan stood up, thus dodging the telekinetic attack. He closed his book and glared at the man. "I'd rather not kill you now. It'd be best to leave me alone until you can actually put up a fight," Kuzan said. A strike of thunder headed his way. He moved out of the way by stepping next to his original position.

"That's enough. Kuzan, Tao!" A voice spoke from above. The lightning flashed to reveal a boy sitting on top of a building. "It's about time you got here," Tao said sheathing his sword. Aerin jumped down from the building and in front of the two. His hood made it hard to see his face. "I've got the information about the Temple of Void. However, Tao. You need more training before you can travel further," Aerin warned. "I understand," Tao responded. Aerin smiled back and touched his shoulder. "I'll summon you back here when we need you," Aerin replied. Tao nodded and suddenly disappeared.

Aerin then turned around. "As for this fight, it's over," Aerin said. With that, he and Kuzan began walking past the two attackers.
