What worlds do you NOT want in Kingdom Hearts III?

Everyone's talking about what they want for KH3, but equally as important is what you don't want in the game, specifically new (or even returning) worlds.

 

From my end, I'd really hate to see Frozen in KH3. It's so over-saturated online and in other mediums, it's like the Gangnam Style of Disney movies. There are so many older, better and more classic Disney movies to make worlds out of, it'd be a waste to make one of the latest fad movie. (Also, it's kind of personal for me: I work in a department store, and we're selling a lot of Frozen merch; I see it every day and more often than not, I have to clean up the mess made by kids dicking around with all the toys and shoes and Christmas ornaments and whatever else has Elsa and Anna slapped on it, and it's only gong to get worse closer to the holidays. There's such negative association with Frozen that I just never want to see anything related to it ever again.)

 

Another one I wouldn't want to see, as unlikely as it is, is Star Wars. All my friends and family seem convinced that ever since Disney bought Star Wars, that guarantees it's going to be in KH3, and the heavy emphasis on light and dark side mythos and iconic sword-like weapons that only certain people can use makes it seem way too perfect. And I'm almost certain it would be terrible; there're too many complex characters, themes and storylines for it to be any good for a single KH world. They would have to either dumb down or just cut out so much content form any of the movies that it would ruin anything good they could get out of Star Wars (just look at Deep Space or La Cite des Cloches to see what I mean). Again, I know it's not likely to happen, but I don't believe Nomura or anyone else at SE has addressed it, and the possibility is there.

 

So are there any worlds you wouldn't want to see in KH3 or any other future KH games? Or are there any old worlds you wouldn't want to see return?

I dunno, I think they could still do more with the remaining two Titans they haven't included yet, the rest of the Greek gods, Olympus, etc.

 

Plus I need more James Woods in my KH.

Those titans would be cool, I admit. But I'm just too tired of having that same world in every almost KH game. It starts to feel worn out.

I understand what you mean. But if they revamp it a bit, make it more of ancient Greece and Mt. Olympus instead of the Coliseum and the Underworld, add some of the many characters available in the movie (and hell, maybe even the animated series) and we could get a much different world.

I actually think I might be okay with a Marvel world; there's enough silliness and cheesiness in comics that it would be hard for KH to flub it up worse than Marvel already has.

 

And yeah, I think the way the story is being set up, at least a lot of the Princess of Heart worlds are going to return, though they'd have to really work to make Wonderland seem fresh and exciting again.

- Wonderland: For the sake of god, we had enough of it. They had many chances to highly improve the world but sadly all what they did was either the same places or some new countable places. I think that world had enough chances especially since it's a single film with no sequels.

- Halloween Town: A single movie and appeared many times, are you kidding me!? The only remarkable improvement they did was adding Christmas Town and that's enough. I cant see anything coming from that world again.

- Marvel/ Star Wars: As much as I love these two  SEPARATELY, mixing them will be totally bad exactly like Disney infinite.

- Pixar movies: I don't care what the hints of the producers say, but for me I think that having them is just really early since we got a lot of more prior classic movies that are waiting their turn.

- Country of the Musketeers/Timeless River/ Symphony of Sorcery: I liked these worlds a lot but they are those worlds that shouldn't appear twice because it's pointless. 

- Prankster's Paradise: It has improved in KH3D compared to KHI (Monstro) but they could've made it better. Since they got their chance to improve it, I think we shouldn't have it again. Especially since they covered most of the story.

- 100 Acre Woods: I think we had enough of this world and they should search for a new mini game world.

- Atlantica: if they didn't make the sequel and kept the repetitive story, and if they still like the idea of Shakira singing then I 100% don't want it again.

- Agrabah: If they didn't change the world for a better way and if they didn't add the third movie's story, then I don't want that world again too.

- Olympus Coliseum: If they are still proud of the three places we are having in every title for this world, then I don't want this world at all. They could've added more places like the city Hercules and his parents in law lived in, the church that has Zeus statue, mountain that has Zeus, river and jungle were Hercules met Meg. There are a lot of ideas but I don't understand why their minds are so addicted with these three places in the coliseum.

Any other film that focuses on animal characters. Good for cameos, not for full worlds.

 

A Marvel Cinematic Universe world wouldn't really work, in my opinion. I think now that the best way to include Marvel would be to make a Big Hero Six world (not necessarily in KHIII, though) and introduce Thor's hammer and Cap's shield as equip-able weapons. 

 

Other than that, I'm up for basically anything.

for the love of all that is good no Marvel or Star Wars stuff in KH3 or in any KH games at all it would not mix well with what we have seen so far from Kingdom Hearts, the only exception would be Big Hero 6 even though it is based on the Marvel comics of the same name it is technically a Disney movie and it could work in a KH game.  Halloween Town I don't think we need to see anymore if for some reason they do bring it back for KH3 I have no idea what kind of story they would do for it and do they really need to bring Oogie Bogie back for the third time I don't think so.  Olympus Colosseum doesn't need to show up again either I mean Sora Donald and Goofy proved they are true heroes at the end of Kingdom Hearts 2 so there really is no need to bring that back. Any other world that has already showed up I could be ok with just as long as it's not as time consuming and tedious as Alantica was in Kingdom Hearts 2 I wouldn't mind that coming back as well just as long as you could also go on the surface of the world and explore it up their not just under the sea part and no musical!

All very good points. I disagree on the Pixar movies, though; I don't think that the classics should necessarily have priority, though there are really only a few Pixar movies that would actually work well for KH. (People keep saying Toy Story should be a world, and while Woody and Buzz might make good summons, I fail to see how you could get a cohesive KH level out of any of the movies. Buzz Lightyear of Star Command, maybe, but i doubt that's even going to be considered.)

 

Also, I think they could do more with Symphony of Sorcery if they focus on Fantasia 2000 like they wanted to for Riku's side in DDD. I might just be biased, though; I'm a big fan of orchestral music and gorgeous animation, and both Fantasia movies merged them beautifully. Besides, Symphony of Sorcery was one of the more fun levels in DDD and I'd love to see it realized all full screen and next-gen.

Actually there are three other titans: the wind titan, the lava/magma titan and the cyclops. (Yes the cyclops is a titan, he was in the pit with the other titans)

Big Hero Six was originally a Marvel comic, and has now been revamped to be a Disney film. Make no mistake, though, this isn't a Marvel movie, it's full-on Disney.

Yeeeeeah, but the cyclops is just kind of a big fat guy, not some giant elemental monster like the other four. I find it hard to see how he would be much different than the Rock Titan fight from KH1.

A frozen world, but I think that is pretty standard, than again I would love to see a snow world.

Worlds I don't want to see? I would have to say, I would HATE it if anything other than animated Disney movies, were made into worlds.

- I don't want to see anything from Disney Channel

- Nothing from Star Wars or Marvel

- Nothing from any sort of cartoon/movie/book/etc. that Disney does not own.

 

I really only want to see Animated Disney Films, Pixar Films, and MAYBE some live action Disney films (Tron). But for the most part most live action disney films would be terrible as well. The main issue being that most of these things these craxy people want in Kingdom Hearts just would NOT fit in.....

Halloweentown, Agrabah, and Atlantica. God no. GOD. NO. NO MORE. I cant sg and TNBC, and Agrabah and Atlantica had their chances. Agrabah has been in every game save BBS &3D. It has run its course and needs to chill.

 

On another note: Wreck-It Ralph world. MUST BE DONE.
