Tails 6,690 Posted April 23, 2015 Also, we might finally get a release date for America, which I can't wait. Yeah, that would be great if we got an English release date. Or at least a window release.
Setrex 1,031 Posted April 24, 2015 I'll be tuning into the Direct for sure. Thanks for the heads up!Shame Nintendo of Europe avoided doing a Direct, it probably means that they won't have a release date for the region pinned down.
Shulk 8,623 Posted April 24, 2015 I'll be watching it a few hours late since a friend wanted to watch it with me, but I'm really excited! I just hope it won't be one of the Japanese streams with an official translation...

Shulk 8,623 Posted April 28, 2015 Alright, with the Japanese release being tomorrow, we learned a little bit about the game's DLC! There will be four character packs, each including a set of quests, Dolls, and characters for 500 Yen each. There are also going to be a few smaller quest packs as well. There's going to be a pack to buy all of the DLC together for 2000 Yen. Do you all think this is fair pricing for the content offered? Source: http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2015/04/xenoblade_chronicles_x_paid-dlc_details_emerge_with_characters_quests_and_skell_unlocks Monolith also released a few wallpapers to celebrate the release of the game! I'm still deciding which to go with for now, but if you all want to see them, I'll post a link (and a few preview pictures) below! Source: http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2015/04/gallery_feast_your_eyeballs_on_these_xenoblade_chronicles_x_wallpapers Also, I'd like to ask in advance: If anyone here plans to look at Japanese videos/information of the game after its release, please keep anything that could be considered a spoiler in the spoiler tag. 2 Tails and Seeker Of Nothingness reacted to this

I don't like the fact that it's payed (you know how I feel about paid DLC) but se le vie. I personally will be sticking of my at-Dawn period of the title screen wallpaper, but anyone who wants it can choose one
Tails 6,690 Posted April 29, 2015 Now that the Japanese version is released, all that's left to do is get a release date for the English version, as well as finally hear the English voices of the characters.
Setrex 1,031 Posted April 30, 2015 Now that the Japanese version is released, all that's left to do is get a release date for the English version, as well as finally hear the English voices of the characters. They surely must have all that info at E3, right?
Setrex 1,031 Posted May 13, 2015 (edited) Is it pretty much a given that the release date should be announced at E3? Nintendo would be stupid not to after all. Edit: to refrain from triple posting, but I spotted something interesting on the Nintendo eShop that I thought about sharing. Bare in mind this is on the European eShop, they have a section that says "Coming Soon on Wii U" and it always shows the two next big titles coming to the system. Example: when Kirby and the Rainbow Curse was coming out it was listed alongside Splatoon, when Splatoon was the next title out it was listed alongside Yoshi's Woolly World (which is out here 26th June).... Well I had a look today and now that Splatoon is out the next game beside Yoshi is Xenoblade Chronicles X. Now I know it isn't much to go on, but I found it interesting because it has never shown games out of order before and given that Mario Maker is the next game after Yoshi with a release date I'm surprised that Xenoblade showed up. I dunno, like I said it is was interesting... Edited May 31, 2015 by KHSoraKeyBlade 1 Shulk reacted to this
Shulk 8,623 Posted June 16, 2015 (edited) Alright, big news today. It was finally confirmed that the game will arrive in North America on December 4, 2015! If there's a separate release date for Europe, I'd appreciate it if someone would let me know so I can add it in. NintendoLife's down at the moment, so I can't get in to find out anything regarding EU... There was also a new trailer, which I'll include below: Edited June 16, 2015 by Shulk 3 Seeker Of Nothingness, SmashLegendRiku and Tails reacted to this
Setrex 1,031 Posted June 17, 2015 (edited) They didn't give a concrete release date outside of "it is coming in December" for Europe. Honestly, I'm sorta disappointed the game is so far off and that Nintendo didn't care to promote more of it in their awful Digital Event. Xenoblade is essentially going to release around a time with other huge games and yet Nintendo wasted time showing us Star Fox Zero instead. I'm still going to get the game regardless, but Christmas time is a silly time to release this when Nintendo announced a bunch.of other Holiday 2015 games. I guess we already know what to expect from the game and fans are patiently waiting, but the game is so far off release it is almost like they picked December to avoid potential backlash if the game were to slip into 2016. Tails 6,690 Posted June 18, 2015 Here's some English gameplay of Xenoblade Chronicles X. It's about time we saw the gameplay in English: 1 Setrex reacted to this
Setrex 1,031 Posted June 18, 2015 (edited) I'm not too keen on the VA from what we saw and the way the sound abruptly stops for your silent protag to talk is kinda annoying. Still, I'm glad that there was a lot of English footage and I liked the part when they were running around New LA in the Doll. ---(This was in the Treehouse not long ago not the IGN Live clip Tails linked) This happened to me earlier btw... That feeling when you are casually watching the Xenoblade X E3 trailer and some dude spoils story parts in the comments. WHY DID I SCROLL TO SEE WHAT PEOPLE THOUGHT?! I only read 5 words, but I was so mad at myself and the dude who spoiled .-. I scrolled fast and outta there. Shulk 8,623 Posted June 19, 2015 If there were spoilers, I'm not going to watch the Treehouse stream. I did find a clip of Elma and Lyn with their English voices, though. Elma's is a bit off, but it'll probably grow on me over time. Lyn's was pretty good. I was thinking NoA/NoE would make her older in the English release thanks to... well, certain costumes in the game. She sounds around 13 still, though. Hero of Winds 2,576 Posted June 19, 2015 My problem is the fact that they were working closely to localize X and yet, it's as if they never got anything translated over that time and they're just now doing that. It's been extremely long since I've last seen a game be split month upon months apart. It doesn't really help that X is Nintendo's biggest title this year, aside Star Fox Zero I guess, and they're barely getting it out there.

Oh, alright, I stopped reading the spoiler tag a bit of the way through just in case I'd end up spoiling something, so I guess I read it wrong. In that case, I'll watch the Treehouse presentation and just avoid the comments. I do think it could have come a little earlier, but at the same time, this is a massive game. I wouldn't be surprised if there's a lot of text from CPUs and sidequests that still needs to be translated.

No doubt that this game was being localised during the development of the Japanese version, but the fact that we had to wait until after it released in Japan to even see any English footage is a joke. Xenoblade X will launch when Nintendo are busy promoting the crap out of Star Fox and I honestly think they won't care for Xenoblade X in the same way they couldn't be bothered with Xenoblade Chronicles until after it launched in Europe and people in America kept so vocal about it. Launching the game in December is suicide for a niche JRPG on the Wii U. The game should have launched in July or something to give something to play before everyone starts playing their trump cards for Christmas. Heck, Nintendo have 3 other titles in Star Fox, Mario Tennis and Animal Crossing all launching this Holiday. Either way I'll be there day one. Oh, alright, I stopped reading the spoiler tag a bit of the way through just in case I'd end up spoiling something, so I guess I read it wrong. In that case, I'll watch the Treehouse presentation and just avoid the comments. The most annoying thing I found from both the Xenoblade and Fatal Frame Treehouse presentations were that the ones playing were like, "I don't want to spoil anything but...." and you felt like saying "dude shut up!". It's not huge spoilers and honestly, for the Xenoblade one I found myself just ignoring those talking and just watching the gameplay with the Dolls and just overall running around the world. They did show a mission where you had to track some dude down and they highlighted how you could choose what you did to him, but honestly I can't even recall who they were after or if it was even anything more than a side mission. Haha I was just distracted by the gameplay The dolls seem really broken when attacking stuff! 1 Shulk reacted to this

Are NoA any good with LE's for their games? NoE can be really good like between now and the end of the year Mario Maker, Project Zero 5 and Xenoblade X all have LE's confirmed. I hope that NoA treat Xenoblade X well for you the fans over there. Xenoblade Chronicles was also confirmed for our Wii U VC. I already have it on Wii/n3DS, but hey a download version for people who didn't get to play it is great Edit: It's there already.
