Lu Xun 2,069 Posted November 3, 2014 Would you like to work with video games?
VisitJoan 2,713 Posted November 3, 2014 I would love to but I don't think it will happen anytime soon. 1 griann reacted to this
Dracozombie 4,554 Posted November 3, 2014 I'd certainly like to get a game out there, but I wouldn't want to make it a career. AAA games deal with business and industry bullcrap, and unless I'm a high-profile director, my vision would be lost in it all. Indie games would be the solution to that, but doing it for a day job wouldn't be much of a money-maker.
hatok 6,413 Posted November 3, 2014 I'd like to if I didn't know about how terrible the working conditions are I'll probably still end up doing it, since that's what my education is geared towards, but bleagh
xoblivionx13 1,133 Posted November 3, 2014 If I don't become an animator, I wouldn't say no to working with video games. But I wouldn't want to work for someone in that industry, that'd be my problem.
darkerturbo 168 Posted November 3, 2014 Why yes I would. In fact, that's the career path I'm hoping to go for
TheKingdomkid 1,194 Posted November 3, 2014 If you mean a job that's like what the guys at Rooster Teeth/Achievement Hunter have then yes I would love to have that kind of job (as a matter of fact work with those guys). If you mean a job in making video games no I would not like that
Shulk 8,623 Posted November 3, 2014 That's only what I've wanted to do my whole life. In fact, I'm planning out a game with a certain Nopon...
Aqua7KH 5,395 Posted November 3, 2014 Concept artist? All I have to say is firetruck YEAH. In all seriousness though, I want to create games in order to help other people cope with their lives. KH had such an impact on me that I want to create the same thing for other people. I want to create beautiful worlds and characters that add that magic to life that other people forget. We grow up and life becomes a dull repetition of everyday things like going to work and sleep. People forget that magic. I want to create games to help people remember that magic and be happier in life. 1 Nero Kunivas reacted to this
Danex Darkfire + 1,712 Posted November 3, 2014 Pfft, you guys realize making games requires advanced calculus, right? Fts 1 Oli reacted to this

Rinax 473 Posted November 3, 2014 Currently in computer science taking computer programming (python), but no idea if I'll be making games or otherwise.
SolsticeBas 19 Posted November 3, 2014 I'm an indie dev in my free time ;-) and I'm planning to make munny with it in the future.
ScarletArisa 128 Posted November 3, 2014 I never really thought about it because i am not confident enough to try. People even have told me i should try but I don't want because i want a "save income" in my future or at least a job where i can earn money to live. But I guess if i would have some talent for it nothing would hold me to try it but how things are now i rather search for something else but maybe i end up working indirectly with games (marketing or something like that). Weedanort 8,786 Posted November 3, 2014 I prefer playing them I don't have any qualifications to work in the video games industry .-.
AaySquare 445 Posted November 3, 2014 Yes I want to. Planned to do Computer Science with game programming in University. I am very excited for this!
BlankShell 638 Posted November 3, 2014 Not particularly. I'm always of the opinion that work and play should be separate. I feel like my enjoyment for video games would diminish if I worked on them; ignorance is bliss, etc. I wouldn't say no, of course, but I don't have any sort of technical skill, so it would likely be in the creative or administrative sides. I have some friends who are getting into the dev scene, so I can experience it vicariously through them =P.
advfox 698 Posted November 3, 2014 Nope. That's not the kind of thing I'd want to do for life.
joku760 72 Posted November 3, 2014 Yes, why not? I just don't see any job that would really fit me in game developement.
littleTSUBAME 483 Posted November 3, 2014 Nope, I don't even have the skills needed for that.
Setrex 1,031 Posted November 3, 2014 Tried the coding aspect of it at college and it really wasn't something I could get to grips with. I'd love to work on games but I think I'd be best at maybe the design aspect from a visual point of view.
Yuya Sakaki 5,212 Posted November 3, 2014 Video games are indeed awesome, but working with them simply isn't the career path for me. I mean, Calculus is my enemy Peace!
