Avatar's... Sequel?

Recommended Posts

owo... So, there isn't a book four in Avatar, it's been confirmed that the part of the series with Aang has ended... owo But I found this today...

Apparently, they're making a spin-off with a girl named Korra? It's 70 years in the future, and she's from the southern water tribe....she travels to the main city in their world which is very steampunk-like?

Seriously.... What?

But Meh, it still seems interesting, but I don't think it would be as good as the original series. Your thoughts?

The Legend of Korra takes place 70 years after the events of Avatar: The Last Airbender and follows the adventures of the Avatar after Aang

It all just seems very weird to me. I would have been happier with just a book four, because there's the whole thing about Zuko finding his mother that they left at a cliffhanger... D8

But hey, they at least have to show the original characters... I mean Aang's son, whose named Tenzin, is apparently in it. o-o;;

This would probably flop the moment it's aired.. but meh. I'd have to see a trailer or something. It supposed to come out next year too... so it's not too far away

Yep, it's official. All of the stuff in that article is true. I agree with you on the Book 4 part, I don't think this series even needed a sequel. It just needed to be ended without cliffhangers ._.

So now, I'll have to watch it and look for more references from the original series. *sigh* I hate sequels.

i kinda just want to watch it. idk if i might like it, but i should at least give it a chance. i feel bad for Tenzin. It must be pretty awkward to see that your dad is now a girl.

I've never considered it an anime. xD I've always considered Avatar to be a cartoon, despite how the style of the art/animation may look. Some of the humor makes it out to be more of a cartoon than an anime too, but eh it's all opinions. o-o;;

However, they did live "happily ever after." They even had a child whose appearing as (either by fact or rumor, don't remember) Korra's Air bending tutor, Tenzin. Though, it's only stated that he's Aang's son, you can probably connect the pieces based on how the first series ended.

I Love Avatar...but a sequel? It's probably gonna ruin the show.

I would have loved to see Zuko find out about his mother..but this seems...idk. I will probably watch it...but doubt its gonna be good.

I loved that show, but I think making a spin-off is a bad idea. They probably are going to make it anyways though, especially with the movie and everything. I think it was a bad idea to compact the series into a movie too, even if they only used book one. Anyways, it was a good show but I don't like the idea of a spin-off.
