How far into development do you think KH3 is?

Square Enix said at Tokyo Game Show 2014 that Kingdom Hearts III "is in the very early stages of development".

which is way too vague, that can be anything from pre-pre-pre-alpha to beta. It doesn't really tell us anything about where KH3 is in development

Well that's all they've said. I doubt it's beta. They're still designing the UI and selecting worlds.

it's definitely not that far, yeah, but it's kinda hard to say where exactly they are. Selecting worlds and tuning the plot hasn't even finished yet, which leads me to believe the game wouldn't have been announced if it weren't KH3

Yeah, well I think Nomura said himself it was announced early. He has a habit of announcing games too early.

 

I really think they should have waited till E3 or TGS 2015 to announce it.

It was announced early, but it was also announced a long time ago at this point. The fact that they're in such an early stage even now concerns me
