Kittenz 4,281 Posted October 19, 2014 (edited) The theory: ''There are others who have been reborn. The Five Foretellers: Anguis, Leopardos, Unicornis, Ursus, Vulpeus. We know that these were pseudonyms that their master bestowed upon them so you know what? I’m going to call them by their current names—Aqua, Ventus, Riku, Terra and Kairi, respectively.'' Yeah that’s right! The biggest giveaway is, in typical Nomura fashion… their fashion. Color-coordination between clothes and hair: Blue, Yellow, Grey, Brown, Pink. Not to mention, the body types match perfectly. Even the palette of some of their keyblades bear a resemblance (Terra and Ursus having the most obvious similarity). But what does it all mean???From here on, I’m going to make some inferences. Let’s start with the fate of the Foretellers.Well, they were probably lost to the Keyblade War. But what side did they join? Remember, Xehanort tells of the different factions: ''The Keyblade wielders' great war over Kingdom Hearts was fought by defenders of the light, servants of darkness, those who sought to reconcile the two, and those motivated by nothing more than lust for power.'' We have reason to believe that a rift grew between the Foretellers based on what Chirithy said. “Also, as you know, even though the five Foretellers share the same goal, they by no means share the same will. So, you mustn't lose sight of it yourself.”Odds are, I’d say, that each had their own approach to preventing a darkness-filled future, and it’s those irreconcilable differences that actually led to it. A self-fulfilling prophecy. So maybe, rather than them all joining a side… they WERE the sides. Their infighting snowballed into the full-blown Keyblade War. While it might not match up perfectly, we could definitely assign some of them to a group based on their known personality traits: 1. Aqua/Anguis: Defenders of Light. This is a pretty obvious one. Aqua, like Master Eraqus, believes in the absolute righteousness of the light. Open and shut case.2. Ventus/Leopardos: Servants of Darkness. At first glance, this one appears to be contradictory, but when you stop to think about it, it does make sense. We’re used to meek ol’ Ven being such a light-hearted (literally) individual. But what about before the split from his dark side? We know so little about that Ven. With Xehanort having considered the possibility of using Ven as his vessel, I’m sure Ven had a great capacity for darkness (that he refused to use), hence why Vanitas was so strong. And remember, darkness does not necessarily equate to being evil… Perhaps Leopardos, tasked with upholding a light which created so much hatred between the other Foretellers, realized that maybe it was the darkness in need of saving—against the “Tyranny of Light,” which Xehanort as the 6th apprentice would convince him of. Hence why Ven continued to follow Xehanort even in his next life.3. Riku/Unicornis: Reconcilers of Dawn (or whatever you want to call them). This is another obvious one. Riku, the road to dawn… yeah.4. Terra/Ursus: Seekers of Power. Another one which might not be readily apparent. Your first instinct might be to brand Terra as a Servant of Darkness. While Terra was by no means selfish, I’d say above all he was about power. Seeking the strength to protect what matters is what led him down his path. Eraqus flat out calls him out on his “obsession with power.”5. Kairi/Vulpeus: Conscientious Objectors. Notice how there is no fifth faction that Xehanort mentions. Consider this one more of a non-faction. She represented all of those who, regardless of ideology, thought that waging a Keyblade War was senseless. It fits Kairi pretty damn well too. This is her purity shining through, and perhaps maybe even how she came to be a Princess of Heart. So basically, that just leaves Sora. I’ll maintain that this is not a fated role for him. I’m sticking with the “normal boy” narrative. Sora came to be a Guardian of Light by accident and through his own power. There was no past Sora. But still, he does fit the bill quite nicely, acting basically as an anti-Xehanort. He’s all about that group cohesion, forgiving past sins, unity, love and all that jazz.'' I interrupt to bring you a fanart of Kairi in foreteller Vulpeus's clothing: Ok, my opinion. I honestly wouldn't put it past Nomura to do something like this. But at the same time, I'm not really sure whether something like this could be possible. I'm kinda on the fence However, it IS strange how all the fortellers have their faces hidden. Could that be to keep their appearance a secret? Because they look pretty much the same as Aqua, Ventus, Riku, Terra and Kairi, respectfully? Remember other characters that had their heads hidden for this reason? Like Xion, for example, before her appearance was revealed. And Vanitas. I think young xehanort was hidden for a while but I don't remember. Could they really have been reincarnated? Sounds cool to me but dude the clones Edited October 21, 2014 by KittensOnFire 9 The Transcendent Key, Connected, Keyblade101 and 6 others reacted to this

Hero of Light XIV 2,381 Posted October 19, 2014 (edited) It seems a little far-fetched to me...but, considering how there is a bit of an interesting resemblance (though the difference in art styles kind of ruins it ) and supposedly unfamilar characters have always kept their faces hidden only to reveal that they look like other characters later on is a reoccurring trope of the series...and Nomura does enjoy a good twist...I wouldn't exactly put it past him either. That doesn't mean that I think this theory is true, but I wouldn't say that it's not possible either. But I don't think it would be a "reincarnation" thing like you've said. If anything, it might become some kind of time travel thingy where they have to go back in time and assume these roles to prevent some kind of imbalance that Xehanort is causing (that mysterious figure that confronted Mickey in the KH X Anniversary event in Daybreak Town. Who was he really? The Sixth Apprentice perhaps? Or someone we already know who likes wearing black coats...?) And just how did Mickey, Donald and Goofy show up back in time anyway and what were they doing there? Sora might be involved since he probably has to focus his attention on Xehanort in the present (or even crazier/less likely, Xehanort does gain control of Sora and sends him back in time as the guy in the black coat...nah, too crazy ), but maybe Xehanort causes some kind of chaos in the past and Yen Sid sends them all back in time to stop it (after saving Terra, Aqua and Ven of course). But even that sounds a bit far fetched. Still, it's an interesting thing to notice that their colors and heights (for the most part) match up. Maybe there's something to it, maybe there isn't, but it is a fun thing to speculate on, I will admit. I can't wait to see if anything comes out of this. I knew that there was a reason I wanted to join the Unicornis faction! X3 Edit: Though now that I've read the full article, I could probably see it happening close to that, but somehow I think Nomura has something even crazier in store for us with KHX and KHIII. Aros 670 Posted October 19, 2014 i see this seaching around google images: there was this imagine of the various shipping between the character and there was the incarnations things.... anyway being kingdom hearts related on hearts.... maybe they passed their power/ heart on a future keyblade wielder before being defeated or become vassells (like eraqus when terra kill him, he use his light or heart to protect terra in the fight agaist xehanort for the controll of his body) in this case the voice at the begin of KH1 could be ursus.... if not the prophet, afterall sora is the one main character and is up to him restore the light, no? 1 Kittenz reacted to this

Aros 670 Posted October 19, 2014 Best ship Technically sokai according to this! Jk Anyway, that sounds plausible to me i liked that dude in DDD and in KHX i'm in vulpeus union LOL anyway i was thinking even and another theory, more strange maybe... the "rite of keyblade passage" have to do with the foretellers....aka the foretellers are somehow part of the keyblade and when a someone touch the keyblade of a master, the foreller is like a judge that decide if the new dude have the power to wield the keyblade... even if this doesn't explain axel/lea case... Guest Posted November 10, 2015 This is nothing new at all, at the very least, Gelandaporn from KHInsider deserves credit for this theory. He was arguably the originator! But as far as the Foreteller's go, they're probably parallels to the heroes as opposed to outright being reincarnated hence the similarities.
BlazingSoul 130 Posted November 10, 2015 Maybe Sora is the Master of Masters reborn.
Isamu Kuno 2,512 Posted November 10, 2015 I still don't see how Kairi can be Vulpeus. According to Mickey, Yen Sid, and Xehanort Kairi'a heart was part of the Keyblade at the time of χ and given how KH treats the heart, it would be the heart, not the soul, that is reborn into a new body upon reincarnation. Ventus is the traitor! And what about if KHX takes place in the future?!?It's been confirmed that χ is the earliest game in the timeline, replacing BbS as KH0 and pushing BbS to 0.1.Maybe Sora is the Master of Masters reborn.Except, Nomura keeps saying how normal Sora is. He didn't even want to make Sora a Master at first because he felt it would remove him from the "normal boy" archetype. He's already pushing Sora further than he wanted to by making him a Master in KH3, I don't think he's going to have him be some reincarnated big-shot Keyblade Master. The 13th Kenpachi 4,279 Posted November 11, 2015 (edited) I'm sick of all the characters looking the same, the foretellers should not just be carbon copy faces of riku terra aqua kairi ven and terra otherwise that's just lazy. We should have fresh faces and appearances for once, if this were to happen nearly everyone in this series is now just a clone or another version of someone. Resemblances yes, the exact same faces? No, think about how much confusion that would cause. Now we have 3 people looking like roxas, how utterly ridiculous is that. Saix is the nobody of Isa so they look the same Lea and Axel obviously look the same Terranort/Apprentice Xehanort/Master Xehanort/Xemnas/Ansem SOD/Young Xehanort are all alternate versions of each other and almost exactly alike naturally. AX and Terranort and Xemnas look very similar. They all share the exact same intentions as well. Sora looks like Vanitas Ventus looks like Roxas and Leopardos. These 3 ARE NOW EXACTLY THE SAME in terms of appearance. Kairi looks like Vulepeus and Xion Terra looks like Leopardos, Terranort and Apprentice Xehanort Braig and Xigbar Aeleus and Lexaeus Xaldin and Dilan Aqua looks like Xion and exactly like Anguis Riku now looks exactly like Unicornis Zexion and Ienzo Vexen and Even Plus the 4 remaining org 13's somebodies which will most likely appear in KH3. If your theory is correct, 35 members of the cast almost look exactly like each other. That's just lazy for Square to do that.
