Ok, so first they got Ven's starting Station of Awakening totally wrong, then they forgot to put the keychains on the Keyblades in one scene, and then this? Some of these have to be mistakes, because while I can understand if they edit some character models (or they're using Kairi's DDD model and it may not have had the ribbon panties on it) or if they literally just forgot to render the keychains in one scene, there's no way you could replace a gigantic glass pillar with the wrong design for that part of the story on accident. It had to be on purpose, BUT WHY!? It doesn't make any sense from a story perspective, that pillar was supposed to represent Ven being whole again and the first pillar was supposed to represent how incomplete he was. Now it just looks like he's more complete than he ever was WAY TOO EARLY! Sigh, I really hope they fix those two issues for the English version (unfortunately, I think "the panty-void" is hear to stay ), but some part of me thinks that they'll skip out on all that effort and just leave everything like it is now. If that is the case, then derp derp derpity-derp!

The scene where he lands in his broken Station of Awakening and Sora connects to his heart for the first time. When the station get's fixed, it looks like this:

 

And when Vanitas forced a fusion on Ven, it then looked like this:

But after the fight his finished and they are one again, Ven's final design for his restored Station of Awakening is this:

 

 

 

However, in the beginning scene for Birth by Sleep Final Mix HD, when Sora first repairs Ven's fractured heart, instead of the first pillar where he isn't holding the Keyblade or any Wayfinders, Ven ends up with his final pillar instead where he has the Keyblade and the Wayfinders, as well as the rest of his armor. Now that just ruins it for me. In the story, the state of his pillar is supposed to represent the state of his heart, that in the beginning he has a fixed heart but it's still incomplete in some senses, and then at the very end once he has become truly whole once more his heart becomes complete and as a result he gets a more complete looking pillar. But the symbolism of that is just RUINED if you make the last pillar the first and only pillar! It suggests that Ven has been complete the whole time and that somehow Wayfinders and friendship bonds meant a lot to him before he even met Terra and Aqua! Maybe they only made an HD model for one pillar, but it seems really stupid to me that this would happen.

It's a gift...and curse. 

 

I guess I'm kind of OCD about some things. Somehow the developers always know how to taunt me with changes to small details, particularly with Ven. I'm still bummed over the fact that he never get's a higher level Keyblade that matches more to what he had in the secret movies The Gathering and Birth by Sleep. But at this point I'm just sort of used to it. THIS....I don't see how I can keep quiet about this whenever I turn my PS3 on...
