This revolves in a world that is in the middle of all out war; a war between humans, demons, angels and elves. These four races have been at it for hundreds of years because of one man. Lawrence, the ultimate monarch of the blood thirsty angels who don't understand peace. Lawrence has made his world renowned name to be God for he wishes to rule the world with an iron fist.

This story follows a boy named Rave.

 

Rave is 12 years old, 4'8" and only about 90lbs. He has light brown hair, blues eyes and a scrawny figure. He wears blue jeans, a red shirt and a black and red zip up hoody. Rave was been raised on the planet where humans live and was raised as one, he believed he was human his whole life but will soon find out that he his much more.

 

¬STORY STARTS¬

 

Rave woke up on the outskirts of town as the sun was rising. All he could think about was the previous day which started normal but ended as the worst day of his life. He was on his way back to school and she was almost home, his house exploded. He knew his parents were home; they were both off, and his older brother got home about an hour ago just like everyday. His family was dead, he felt anger fill his heart then... It all went black, now here we are. Rave is without a family and no home. "why...me?"

Walking up the path was a five foot and five inch tall boy. Short red hair with bangs that slightly covered her eyes,a hair stem on the top of his head that stood out. His eyes were colored yellow,the pupils in the shape of slits. Tanned skin with freckles,whenever he opened  his mouth sharp teeth were revealed. Folded on his back were huge wings. A demon it seemed,on human territory. He wore a black tank top with a big white scarf that covered up his neck. Jeans and some brown boots. Black fingerless gloves. If he were to walk into a town it would be easy to tell that he didn't belonged there. His motives would be questioned as there were indeed some demons that would come to the human world with ill intentions. In his hands was a small book with what seemed to be a map and some notes. His sharp nails tapped against the pages. His name? Samael. "If I follow the directions he gave me I should have a good shot of the village without having to walk in it. The last thing I want is some humans ruining my shots by looking at the camera un-naturally-"Samael muttered when he seemed to trip on something. Falling face first as he dropped his book,he let out an inhuman growl out of habit. "The hell was that-?"Samael hissed,showing off his fangs as he turned to see what he had tripped on. More specifically. On who he had tripped on. It was a human kid. (Rave) Laying down. He was so small and well hidden by the shades of the trees that Samael didn't see him when walking. "Oi,what the hell are you doing sleeping out here?!"

Rave looked up at Samael, at first with his weary eyes he didn't see anything wrong. Rubbing his left eye Rave stared at him as his sight began to focus. Not sure what freaked him out more, the yellow eyes or the demonic wings, but Rave let out a very much human scream and jumped to his feet. "D-d-d-d-d..." Rave couldn't even let the word escape his mouth. The stuttering 12 year old boy did not know what he should. He was face to face with a demon, but eventually Rave went silent. Fear still consumed his face, Rave saw a book on the ground. "You dropped your book." Rave pointed. It finally occurred to him that if this demon was going to do anything to Rave it would have happened but Rave was still shocked and fear was still soon him.

Samael blinked a few times before looking down to his side,glancing at the open book face down,its blue cover now covered in particles of dirt. "I guess I did."He noted,kneeling down and picking up his book,brushing the dirt off its pages before scowling. "At least it wasn't in water. Otherwise I would've lost everything in here."He muttered,his mind isolated to himself a bit. He then returned to reality as his gaze snapped to the young boy before him. His sharp eyes scanned him up and down,almost like a hunter scans its prey. But it was only of bad habit. Snapping his book closed with a movement of the hand,he rested his hands on his hips. "Why are you sleeping out here in the woods alone? There's a village nearby,you know. If you're not careful you could bump into something or someone with malign intentions,and considering how little you are,you'd be defenseless of whatever odd deeds their mind has to offer."Samael explained as he got closer to the kid,inspecting him. Though he didn't meant to sound scary,it was out of habit,and was speaking half truth. Getting closer he extended his arm at the kid,his sharp nails poking the side of his cheek. "You have a strange scent for a human."Samael finally said,breaking the tense silence.

Rave was lost with words. "s-scent?" Rave stuttered. "w-what are y-you t-talking about?" as Samael inched closer Rave shook more. When he touched his cheek he flitched and cringed his face a bit. "d-Do you mean you can smell humans?"

Samael suddenly pinched the kid's cheek,more in a playful way than hurtful. "Of course. A demon's senses are much sharper than the other races. We've evolved to hunt for food after all."Samael purred as he have off an evil looking smirk,moving his hand from the kid's cheek to his ear,suddenly pulling it before giving a warm hearted laugh. "But that wouldn't be useful for me though. I'm a vegetarian,so even if I can smell you dweebs I can't hunt you down to eat. Plants are easier too. They don't try to run away."Samael said as he let go of the kid and stood straight up. "Just because we're demons doesn't mean we're like in those fairy tales you humans tell. Is this the first time you've seen a demon before? Cause if so you're so missing out."Samael said as from his back a black tail with the end looking like a spade started to wave around. His eyes then narrowed. "Regardless I don't see why some kid like you is sleeping out here. Don't you have a house? Your parents must be worried sick. Unless you're running away,but without a plan you won't go very far."Samael said as he held his book with his tail.

Rave looked down. "My family died..." Rave then looked back at the town. My house exploded with my family still inside. After that, I don't remember." All of this sounded strange. Houses don't just blow up for no reason.

Samael blinked a few times at the explanation. "Excuse me,did you just say,exploded?"Samael asked. Getting a confirming nod,Samael took a few minutes to analyze the information. This kid's house went kaboom and now all of his family is dead. Wonderful. Well that's one way to become orphan. "Er..."Samael muttered. He really didn't know what to say. "Um...I'm sorry?"Samael asked. At least he tried. "(Houses don't just go boom and bam without a cause chemical reaction...or arson.)"Samael thought as he looked down at the kid. He really wanted to go back where he was going to do what he was going to do...but he would have a guilt trip if the kid ended up also dead because he didn't make the right choice. "(What a bother.)"Samael sighed. "Well...how about you take me to where your house used to be?"Samael asked ad he pointed at his nose. "Like I said,we have enhanced senses. Maybe with a little investigation we can find a cause and effect of what happened?"Samael asked. He was a demon. But he wasn't heartless. He offered his hand in a courtesy manner. "I'm Samael,by the way."

Rave nodded, "But wouldn't everyone notice a demon walking in their town? Wouldn't that cause a problem?"

Samael scoffed as he waved his hand. "I'm not going to cause any trouble! I'm just going to help you out. We demons are allowed to come to the human world when we have the time. If the humans say anything against me screw them. They'll most likely coward away when I hiss at them anyways."Samael assured as he got his book on the nook of his scarf. "They can't exactly kill me easily if they tried. So there's no need to worry about me. Come on,we're going to where your house was. I can't walk away from a kid in trouble."Samael said as he got his hands in his pockets and wrapped his tail around the kid's arm. "Come on. Lets go."Samael said as he started to walk into the town,pulling the kid along. "Also you should introduce yourself on me. It isn't very nice of you to keep your name to yourself."

Rave sighed, "I guess your right. Name's Rave Jigoku." The names Jigoku sounded familiar to the demons ears but he couldn't quite recall the name. "I guess we should go." He started off towards the town. Rave didn't exactly want to go to the town but he felt like the demon may be right. 

 

Not far from the location of Rave and Sameal, a group of angels were in the trees spying on them. "There's one of them..." One stated.

"Yes I wonder where the other one is." another added.

"Let's just get 'em. We don't need both."

"But won't that demon get in the way?"

"I ain't scared of no demon." The final on spoke then they flew off.

Samael walked with Rave. Along the way his name kept poking him in the brain,but he couldn't figure out why. It seemed really familiar,but at the same time he could not seen to remember. It was at the top of his tongue,but it wouldn't come out. "Maybe we're family or something."Samael muttered as he scratched his cheek. Demon families were at times extensive,so it could be a possibility. Waking across the town, while receiving strange looks from the town's people,they eventually walked up to the remains of what used to be a happy home. It was burnt to a crisp,collapsed,pieces of forward scattered around along with glass and all sorts of material. It looked like it indeed had exploded. "Jeez."Samael commented as his tail let go of Rave. He walked into the rubble area,careful not to trip. "Rave,are the bodies still around? Do you know where the remains are?"Samael asked. As morbid as it sounded,the bodies would give clues to the events that happened. Samael highly doubted the house simply combusted into an explosion. "(It reeks. But...)"Samael thought as he sniffed the air.

"I didn't look. I told you, I don't remember what happened after that." Rave was only a kid, he wouldn't have looked through the rubble to find his dead parents.

 

"I can tell you why you don't remember anything." The group of angels were flying above them, all wearing high tech looking angelic armor. The one that spoke was in the middle, there was 5. He has a more unique armor with pointed shoulder pieces and a orb or something on his right side of his chest. He had white spiky hair and green eyes and handsome face and a athletic build. He was obviously the leader of these guys. The others wore uniform armor with helmets not showing there face, they look pretty generic. "You snapped!" He laughed and the others joined.

Samael stood up as he glanced up at the angels. Their wings were unmistakable. Needless to say that Samael was unamused. He hated angels. Not only were they the opposite of demons,but 90% of them were total @$$holes for absolutely no reason. Samael sniffed the air and walked up to Rave,standing next to him as his wings started to unfold from his back,spreading as if trying to look a bit more fierce against the angels. "Well well. Angels? I don't think you guys leave Haven just because you want to take a morning stroll."Samael said in his sarcastic tone as he glared at the angels. "Snapped?"He muttered as he looked over at Rave and then back at the angels. "What do you mean by that? I know you guys are @$$es by nature but the least you could do is be nice to the kid and explain what you know."Samael said as he waved his tail. His eyes narrowed. "But then again if you angels have anything to do with it or know anything about it,it's most likely that you guys are responsible for 70% or more of the situation."Samael growled as his sharp nails only seemed to sharpen themselves more,responding to Samael's emotions. His left wing seemed to wrap itself around Rave as in a shield. "Don't let their wings fool you,Rave."Samael hissed.

The lead angel laughed and the others followed. "I don't think you really want to find out, might be dangerous." One angel whispered in his ear. "That's a good idea, how about... That's plan B." The angel looked down at Rave. "Lets start with plan A!" He jolted down toward Rave while the others flew at Samael as a diversion. Swooping down and picking him up, the angel leader took off with Rave.

"Rave!" Samael extended his wings to their extent and started to fly,only to be confronted by rest of the angels while the leader took off flying with Rave. Samael glared,his sharp eyes narrowing as the slit of his eyes only seemed to sharpen as he stood in front of the confronting angels. "Let him go! He's only a kid!"Semael yelled. Even though he was young, he was always thought that angels were never good. It was common sense. While angels portrayed that demons were the bad guys, the angels truly were the ones who needed to get their wings taken away for the good of the rest. Being too close to god had corrupted them, at least that's how Samael saw it. "You guys are seriously leaving me without a choice."Samael muttered as he extended his arm,a small pole coming from underneath his sleeve as he spun it in his hands,having it extend. It seemed like a staff with a mixture of a scythe. It had a bright gem right on top of it, surrounded by swirled and twisted sharp blades that stuck out like thorns on a rose. Sharp barbs covering it everywhere except where Samael held it. "Out of my way."Samael hissed as he spun his staff, reaching into his pocket to take out what seemed to be a rock and throw it into the air,only to catch it by touching it with his staff. "Hagalaz! Bring down the thunder!"Samael called as his voiced echoed with the magic,a giant symbol in the shape of "" appearing above him as dark clouds started to cover the sky above them. "Clap,clap,clap!" Samael yelled as he waved his staff down,lightning coming from the clouds above and shooting down below savagely. Lightning was meant to hit the closest thing it could find to reach the earth,and currently,they were the highest. This was the power of the runes.

The angels were electrocuted but Rave was out of sight. "Your too late!" one toasty looking angel claimed. "They should almost be in Haven by now!"

Samael flew down to the angels and stared down at them. "You angels thing that you can belong to everything and anything. That you are the best only because you are the children of god. Well guess what?"Samael asked before kicking one of them across the face. If he didn't break the neck with that kick, the angel was lucky. "We were angels too, we just figured out that god was a total @$$ and managed to escape on time."Samael hissed as he turned away from the angels, seeing as some humans from the town were starting to gather around from curiosity of the battle. "I'll leave you to their mercy."Samael muttered as he took off into the sky, closing his eyes. "Come on..."Samael muttered. His enhanced senses took place, remembering the unusual yet strong scent that Rave seemed to have. Bingo. The trail was faint, but he had to try. A child being kidnapped by angels? As if they weren't already putting the catholic church in enough bad bundles as they were. "You do have a strange scent for a human."Samael hissed with a slight smirk as he started to fly, following the scent. If it led him to Rave or not he wouldn't know until he followed it until the end.

Rave and the angel arrived at a facility that resembled a cloud, must be a disguise. The two entered the floating building and eventually went to a room that looked like an integration room. "Take a seat!" The angel ordered as he threw Rave to the floor. "This is Haven location 1 0 2 A. And soon God will be here to see you." He explained as he started to leave but then stopped at the door. "By the way... My names Yasagi." He stated then turned to look at Rave in order to see his face. "And I killed you parents." He laughed. 

Rave had a shocked look consume his face. "Y-you?" He stuttered. "You?" Rave looked down. "you...." He was now quiet. When Rave looked up at Yasagi his shocked expression was now pure rage. "YOU!" His voice was now much deeper, not his normal 12 year old boy voice, it was like he was another person. His eyes turned red, his ears sharpened, his hair started to spike, his body bulked and his skin started to turn pale. Rave tried to say 'you' again but only let out a roar. 

"I firetrucked up!" Yasagi claimed.

Following the scent was a risk on its own. Holding the Ansuz rune in his hands, Samael closed his eyes while muttering the incantations. The insight aspect of Ansuz he was able to follow a trail along with the scent, conforming one with the other in order to make sure that he had at least a 50 50 chance that he would end up finding the kid. The trail stopped in front of the most suspicious looking cloud Samael had ever seen, if he had ever seen one before. "****, this is angel territory."Samael hissed. The fact that they had bothered to bring a human child into angel territory on itself was...well, odd and unusual. "(First the catholic church now their angels as if they didn't had enough problems involving children f*cking jeez.)"Samael thought as he started to fly around stealthily, using the puffy cloud surroundings as cover as he carefully hid within the shadows of the place. It would be soon before his scent started to attract some unwanted angel attention, and that they figured out a demon was on the premises. But Samael couldn't just leave a child alone. Not with the angels out of all species. "Rave, hang on buddy."Samael muttered before hearing the echo of a roar, his eyes narrowing. "What the hell is that."He hissed, following the scet as he started to search for Rave.

When Sameal finally reached the end of the scent he found a knocked out Rave laying on the ground and Yasagi shaped whom in the wall exposing an open sky and a great escape.

Samael blinked a few times, admiring the scene while thinking the words that would go into anyone's mind. "(What the hell happened?)"Samael thought as he flew down at Rave, kneeling down next to him. "Hey, Rave."Samael asked as he shook the boy. But he seemed unconscious. "Sh*t. What did they do?"Samael hissed. Multiple possibilities invading his mind as he glanced around. "(I'll ask later. We have to get out of here. If the angels surround us we won't have a chance to escape. Not like this.)"Samael thought as he picked up Rave in his arms and slumped him over his shoulder for easier carriage. Holding the boy tightly he ran over to the hole in the wall and jumped down from it, his wings expanding as he quickly took flight. He held an algiz rune in between his claws, just in case there was a surprise attack from above. "(We have to hide.)"Samael thought as he dove and started to fly into the forest. The angels and their wings would make it hard for them to catch up to Samael, who swiftly flew between the branches.

Rave and Sameal reached a near by forest. By now they have traveled severely far from where the two meet and still great mysteries lie with them both. Both know very little of each other.

Rave began to awaken. He found himself sitting up against a tree up on a branch. As he looked around he noticed he was in a forest and Sameal was up in higher beaches in the same tree. Rave started to climb up towards the demon until he was in close enough range to be heard. "Umm... Where are we?" Rave asked the demon.

Samael looked down at Rave. He clicked his tongue lightly before looking away for a minute. This kid was more trouble than what he bargained for. But he wasn’t one to leave any innocent child to the hands of the angels either. The angels were deviant little pricks. They were nothing like in the stories of old, and that was coming from one classified as a demon. “We’re in the forest outside your town. I just ended up outflying some angels that took you to their fortress. I have no idea what happened up there. But it is kind of obvious by now, you aren’t normal, are you?” Samael asked, his sharp eyes suddenly staring straight at Rave. He jumped down to Rave’s branch and knelt forward, pushing the young boy against the tree as Samael gave off a low growl. “Who are you really? Why do the angels want you? I don’t like to be lied to, so please spare me the details of any bullsh*t.” Samael hissed.

Rave stared into Sameal's eyes trying not to bust into tears. "I.... I...." he mummered a bit before crying out. "I don't know!" Which was true, Rave had no idea what was going on. He could barely even remember what had happened back there with the angel. "I told you everything, I don't know what hell is going on or why they want me or why they killed my parents!" At that moment Rave just remembered that the angel said that to him. "....He... Killed my parents...." Rave clinched his fist. "Damn son of a...." Tears began to rule down his face. "I just don't know...."
