Playing as Riku & Dual Wield Capabilities

I'm sure I am not the only one whose favorite character is Riku. What do you guys think of their being two story lines (Sora Main Story Line, Riku Play Through After Beating Story through with Sora) to Kingdom Hearts III, like in BBS with Aqua, Terra, & Ventus? And I have a question that needs answering, in the KHIII Trailer, it shows Soras keyblade transformation technique of him shooting the dual pistols. What other Keyblade transformations would you like to see, and I would love for their to be a Dual Wield option, but conflicts with Ventus reawakening and Sora losing his dual wield capabilities could oppose that. What do you guys want to see?

Sorry, but nope. Sora was always (in some ways) the protagonist and we won't see more playable characters then him, Riku will probably be "in the best case scenario" in your party. I know it sucks.

I wouldn't mind Sora's Keyblade being able to turn into a sword caught on fire.

I would just like to play with all Sora, Riku and Kairi ala BBS style. They could make it better if all 3 had totally different worlds to visit. Of course each would have their individual party members going with them. 

 

This is unlikely to happen but it would be good.

 

As for keyblade transformation I don't really fancy that.

I do like the keyblade transformations, but I do not enjoy the dual pistol transformation. I think they should keep it strictly to melee type weapons.

It would also be cool if they have their own Keyblade Armors. I would really like to have Riku in the party if he would act like in the KH2 final boss battle.

I'm pretty sure the fact that Nomura gave distinct mission statements for Sora and Riku means that we'll play as Riku for a portion of the game.

 

Well, Riku doesn't need someone else's heart in him to dual weild, he just has to borrow one from another nearby wiieilder like in the final battle of KH II. However then that wileder would have to rely soley on magic to defend themselves while Riku hogs the weapons.

Regarding the story I dont want it to be like BBS. Doesnt make sense this time.

We should be able to play with both when the time is right.

 

Im hoping that we can at least play once with every 7 lights.

 

Isa has to be defeated by Lea, nobody else (so im expecting he's playable here)

And so on.

   Combining the subjects, I'd love to play as Riku while duel wielding Way to Dawn and maybe a new version of The Keyblade to People's Hearts. It was the keyblade he used against Sora in KH1 and I think it would play a huge part in KH3 IMO. 

   Let's say he uses his dark powers with the help of moogles to synthesize a light version of that keyblade to unlock Sora's heart; setting free all the prisoners inside him. Just thought of this now...

I really don't want any more main games that split up the characters

I want a fully playable Sora, not the half-baked version of DDD, or the one third baked BBS characters

Roxas was already confirmed to be playable in III by Nomura, so..yeah. By that being confirmed, i'd say Riku will most certainly be playable then, and during the story for sure. I'm all for it as well. As for dual-wielding, sure, it'd be cool to be there, but again, Keyblade Transformations are already really cool as is, so I don't think we'll need them. Maybe we'll have dual-wielding at the beginning before we save Ven.

It was from an interview at the time of that event they released the 2nd concept trailer.
