Jungle Book in Final Mix of BBS

Recommended Posts

Some of you probably already know, and some might not, about the unfinished Jungle Book world in the final mix of BBS (at least I think it was the final mix version, it might be the normal version too). I saw some people who had found it in the coding and hacked it back into existence on their game. I was wondering if there is any way I could do this. I've look for a patch with it or just about anything that would teach me how to bring it back out, but I haven't had any success. You can easily find videos of it on Youtube.

It actually looks like it was a a pretty long ways in development before it got scrapped, which is why I think it'll make an appearance in KHIII. Much like Prankster's Paradise was supposed to make an appearance in 358, but instead got cut and brought to Dream Drop.

Its in the original japanese bbs (Not final mix) and unless you're living in a cave, every kh fan knew about this in like 2010 when truthkey hacked it.

Also , he did it with cwcheat codes -> room hacks

It can't be done with the westside or Final Mix versions since the data was completely removed.  In the original Japanese version, though, you can easily access it through cwcheat via room modifiers.

I think there's a thread somewhere on KH-Vids that lists ALL the codes ever for BBS (JP, US, FM).  There's even some other fun stuff you can do, like mod your keyblade into Xehanort's, etc etc

I'm not sure how to do this, like the others said, the original Japanese version looks to be the only way you can get it. But hey, you never know for certain.

The data wasn't completely removed in the western release, it's just not accessible with a room mod anymore. In the Final Mix these areas were indeed removed to make room for the Secret Episode, they still use the same world code though ("JB").

If you decide you want to try it yourself, you need custom firmware on your PSP(around 6.60 or above. Depends on your device), and CWCheat. I can't give specific instructions, as I can't quite remember, but both the CFW and Cheat app will be downloaded on your computer and transferred to the memory stick via USB. You will also of course need the CWCheat database file, which you can make.

KH-vids.net will have the codes in the thread for the JP version of the game in their "code vault" section of the forum. Name, ID, Code names, and Codes will be listed there.

What I like about this is that it really is revealing about the development process as well as how much progress was made on the world before it got deleted. You'll see codes for a lot of rooms that are right now just a generic placeholder room because those areas were never ported into the game data.

"The Jungle Book (1967)"?  Hard to say... if it doesn't appear in "Kingdom Hearts 3", perhaps "TaleSpin" could make up the difference?

I doubt it'll be in "Kingdom Hearts -2.5 HD Remix-".  I've played "Kingdom Hearts:  Birth By Sleep" enough times to know they won't include it in there.

I'm pretty sure adding a Whole New World to a rerelease would be unrealistic.

lol. So I see you know nothing about programming. The people that did this used developer tools. The world was in its pre-alpha stages before being scrapped. You can do this on PSP by installing a CFW but I don't know anything about hacking a PS3. I doubt you would be able to anyway.

In fact I advise you not to, you'll probably brick your system.

yeah I know nothing about programming lol  so if I install a CFW I should be able to get it?

You need a custom firmware for PSP, whatever it is and you need to know a bit of number crunching to get there, you don't just magically get there lol. Unless someone already set this up with BBS hacks, I don't know and never was interested in hacking this game. If you don't know what you're doing don't download a CFW because you can brick your PSP. Not like it would matter though because PSP died a long time ago lol.

I honestly believe CoderPR is the most noob friendly, but I still don't recommend doing this lol it's at your own risk.

It'd be nice if Disney would get Jonh Goodman to voice Baloo. I know that it's not the original actor, but the original actor wasn't used in the "recent" movies and stuff related to Jungle Book, but I doubt he'd voice him... He didn't voice Sulley for any Monsters, Inc and University related game, and not even for Disney Infinity.
