xCarlisle 1 Posted October 13, 2014 I have personally loved every Kingdom Hearts game since KH1, but from the very beginning my favorite keyblade has been Riku's Keyblade of People's Hearts in Kingdom Hearts 1. I have looked far and wide for some details explaining the origins of this keyblade, and the different types of Keyblades. Keyblades come from both wielders of Light & Darkness.. It can unlock the hearts of people, could this type of weapon be used for good in KH3 for Sora and his friends? Will that be how Xehanort is finally put to rest? I want some opinions on this. Aru Akise 2,540 Posted October 13, 2014 That Keyblade is a special one made from the hearts of the princesses. It grants anyone the ability to extract hearts, which is an ability only Keyblade Masters should have. I think it has fulfilled it's role, but let's wait and see what will happen to the princesses. Something DEFINETLY will happen to them.
Kaweebo 3,617 Posted October 13, 2014 It's already been said that the 'Keyblade to Return Hearts' is going to make an appearance in KHIII, so, yeah, I'd say the Keyblades of Heart will play a very important role.
Philip Ellwell 5,487 Posted October 13, 2014 Probably not: since it was made out of The Princesses Of Heart's hearts, and they have since dropped from the storyline, creating it would only rehash KH1, and it wouldn't be much use at this point to anyone. The 7 Guardians of Light are to protect the Princesses of Heart, the Princesses are all still their. The Keyblade to Return Hearts can still be forged and would be the greatest asset in my opinion to finally release the heart of Xehanort entirely. It's already been said that the 'Keyblade to Return Hearts' is going to make an appearance in KHIII, so, yeah, I'd say the Keyblades of Heart will play a very important role. I think it will be too. I never did see where it said it would make an appearence in KHIII. Thats something I'm interested in reading. Link? That Keyblade is a special one made from the hearts of the princesses. How else could Riku have done it then? Let alone Sora extracted Kairi and his own heart using the Keyblade to Return People's Hearts. I don't think you have to be a Keyblade Master to extract peoples hearts with this weapon. I hope to see a return and gain some further knowledge on the different keyblade types. It's mentioned in the official synopsis. "Believing light and darkness must remain in balance, Master Xehanort seeks to spark war against the ‘tyranny of light’ to restore equilibrium. In an effort to undermine Xehanort’s plot, Sora, Donald and Goofy search for seven guardians of light and the “Key to Return Hearts,” while King Mickey and Riku search for previous Keyblade wielders. Hero of Light XIV 2,381 Posted October 13, 2014 (edited) Basically, the Memorial Ultimania explained that only Masters have the power and ability necessary to unlock/release somebody's heart (while they're still human anyway). However, Ansem was without a body and needed a body of a Keyblade wielder to use one, so by possessing Riku he had temporary control over a Keyblade. However, Riku wasn't a master by that point, so he forged the Keyblade of People's Hearts, a Keyblade that already has the ability to release people's hearts, so that through Riku he might have the power to release Kairi's heart from within Sora by force. Previous Ultimania's have also explained that there are 3 different types of Keyblades. Ones from the Realm of Light, ones from the Realm of Darkness, and ones born from Hearts. The Keyblade of People's Hearts is that 3rd category. Perhaps this Keyblade to Return Hearts also belongs in this category...? Interestingly, the X-Blade we first witnessed from Birth by Sleep was born from two hearts, so in a way it is similar in origin to the Keyblade of People's Hearts. Anyway, if there is going to be a Keyblade that return's people's hearts, than it's fair to assume that there still exists the threat of a Keyblade that releases people's hearts, be it the Keyblade of People's Hearts, or Xehanort and his own Keyblade Master abilities. Either way, this new Keyblade is meant to be used to counteract the affects of heart displacement that Xehanort has caused, so it's basically meant to counteract him. But Xehanort most likely considered this, so it would be interesting to see how this plot goes. As unlikely as it would be, it would be fun to see if you can have the option to equip either the Keyblade of People's Hearts or the Keyblade to Return Hearts in gameplay, that would be fun to see what kinds of strengths and abilities they would have! PaulodiCarvalho 3 Posted October 13, 2014 some of u guys are confusing the Keyblade of People's Hearts (seen in KH1, and that gives u power to extract some's heart without beeing a master) with the Keyblade to Return Hearts (the one we will see in KH3, and that have the abiility, like the name says, to return ppls heart, so it will probably be used to return Ven's heart and finally awake him). And i do believe that the true X-bçade can be forged without the need of the princess die, like just using theirs essence or something like that 2 Spideyphantom and xCarlisle reacted to this
