AuraAce 1,126 Posted October 11, 2014 (edited) Yay! Another countdown from me. This time I'll be going through my top 10 Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMix tracks, these tracks will be from Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix and Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix as I don't believe there is any Re: Orchestrated tracks in that, I may be wrong. There isn't any rules I can implement here so enough rambling. Let's start. X. Keyblade Graveyard (Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep Final Mix) Keyblade Graveyard is one of only two field themes on this list. It is a track that really portrays the despair of the Keyblade Graveyard with low, slow instruments such as (Amazing) violins, pianos and choirs. This song really helps mark a build up to a broken road for our three heroes. IX. One Winged Angel (Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix) One Winged Angel had way too many versions to choose a favorite from until now. The 2.5 version of One Winged Angel blows all others out the waters. Menacing choirs chanting Sephiroth, backed with violins, Trombones and fast paced music provides for an intense battle with one of the hardest secret bosses in Kingdom Hearts history. VIII. Hazardous Highway (Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix) In the original Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, I overlooked this track, I thought that it was just as mediocre as all of the other Gummi Ship mission tracks but ooh how Square have stepped this track up in 2.5. One Winged Angel and Vim and Vigor were fast paced tracks but they don't compare to the pace of Hazardous Highway. With amazing electric guitar, drum and synthetic instrumentals, it makes a boring Gummi Ship mission exciting and intense. VII. Tension Rising (Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix) Tension Rising has and always will be one of my favorite tracks in Kingdom Hearts history, the, for lack of a better word, intensity of it, in the FIRST boss battle of Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, sets your standards really high for the rest of the game which knocks right out the park. Fast paced violins and pianos set those standards and they do not disappoint. VI. Lazy Afternoons (Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix) This is the second of the two field themes. This is one of the biggest improvements on the OST in my opinion. Soft, light flutes, violins and guitars, it makes spending the time in Twilight Town as Roxas worthwhile. V. Rage Awakened (Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix/Birth By Sleep Final Mix) Another track that is a major improvement from it's old one. Rage Awakened is a beautiful track for violin lovers like myself, it is fast paced, with many other instruments complimenting the violins, such as pianos. This is where it all began and it shows just that. IV. Sinister Shadows (Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix) Still one of my most favorite tracks in Kingdom Hearts history and 2.5 has done nothing but improve it with low pitched, slow violins and high pitched, fast violins as well as a drum booming out in the background. This compliments the Battle of 1000 Heartless well, which is my 2nd favorite boss battle (I regard it as a boss) In Kingdom Hearts. III. The 13th Struggle (Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix) This version of the 13th Struggle is very similar to the Re: Chain of Memories version of The 13th Struggle which makes me happy as I feel that version doesn't get enough praise. THIS is what Square gives us when we are nice to them. Violins, pianos, drums, you name it, they're all there to make this super fast paced. This theme is a reason why Axel is my favorite boss battle in Kingdom Hearts history. II. Darkness of the Unknown {No Heart Xemnas} (Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix) I was blown away by this track when I first heard it in 2.5, I never expected such a small difference from the original to make it so much better. The amazing violins are still the highlight of this track and set up the final fight with Eternal Xemnas more than any other track can. Now that X - II is done. Let's recap the Top IX tracks before moving onto No. I X. Keyblade Graveyard IX. One Winged Angel VIII. Hazardous Highway VII. Tension Rising VI. Lazy Afternoons V. Rage Awakened IV. Sinister Shadows III.The 13th Struggle II. Darkness of the Unknown {No Heart Xemnas} Aaaand the No. I best track on 2.5's OST is.... I. The Other Promise (Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix) Don't lie. Don't tell me that this wasn't painfully obvious right from the get-go. Roxas. One of the most Dearly Beloved characters in the whole franchise has arguably one of the best songs in Kingdom Hearts history. This Re: Orchestrated track is the best improvement from the original. It makes you feel despair for Roxas and his being, destined to be wiped from existence. Organs, violins, pianos, the lot. This is a very emotional track and I had to pause the game and cry for about 5 minutes when I first heard the Re: Orchestrated track, it's beautiful... I hope you guys enjoyed my Top 10. Let me know your Top 10 and i'll catch you guys later! Thanks for Reading! Kaweebo 3,617 Posted October 11, 2014 (edited) Nice list. I would have put He's a Pirate and the Land of Dragons field theme somewhere in here, but otherwise I mostly agree. Edited October 11, 2014 by Kaweebo

He's a Pirate missed the cut by a millimeter believe me. 1 Kaweebo reacted to this
Hero of Light XIV 2,381 Posted October 11, 2014 Were Keyblade Graveyard, Dismiss, and Rage Awakened the only re-orchestrated tracks in Birth by Sleep? I seriously would have loved to hear revamped versions of The Key of Light, The Key of Darkness, The Key, Black Powder, Enter the Darkness, Unbreakable Chains, Enter the Void, and all the character themes at least. The whole soundtrack didn't have to be re-orchestrated, just the really important ones like those.
