KH2 How can Xemnas turn Org XIII members into Dusks?

Recommended Posts

Unless I'm missing something, which I'm sure I'm not, (unless I am then please correct me) it wasn't really explained how he could do so. Isn't he just a Nobody like the others? Can he turn anyone into a Dusk? Or is he just bluffing?

I was thinking. What if the way he can do that is by using his keyblade? We never see him use it.

What if there is a way to unlock the husk/soul? Similar to how Ansem/Riku's Keyblade could unlock people's hearts.

I assumed he'd just click his fingers and his will would do it.  Seems like a bluff though since we're never seen it happen.  Assumed it was a nicer way to threaten them instead of him ripping them apart brutally.

Axel seemed to take it very seriously.

i do think is a bluff... like the story you say at the childs for make them sleeping or something like that  xP

if he can really turn someone into a dusk then he could have turned roxas or axel for evading future complications or just knock-out the betrayer without so much hassle xD

and for how great are his power or the keyblade's.... i don't think you can have benefit at unlocking empty shells :D

This.

Because they all new how powerful Xemnas was and didn't dare openly defy him. It's the same reason none of the other Orgization members put their thrones level to Xemnas.

They already have there thrones leveled by rank. 13 being the lowest, and Xemas being the highest with #Uno.

The thrones have nothing to do with rank, it's entirely personal preference (with the unspoken rule that no-one's higher than Xemnas). Roxas's throne isn't the lowest, that's Vexen.

He didn't turn any of the traitors because he still had uses for them. Simple.

hmm, I guess I never really noticed, i just assumed... okay i didn't know that, so... do they create the thrones with there powers or something... I mean, who builds everything?

The thrones are adjustableeach are set by the owners preference. However Nomura said that nobody dared to level their thrones with Xemnas because that would be kinda scary.

didn't receive the notification for this quote :/

anyway, yeah i though about it after i post it, my bad... thank for the correction of my mistake xD

but with roxas and xion when xehanort choose to keep xion and he make a fake mission (at halloween town) for make them fight each other he could have transform him in dusk (somewhere that no one can see him) then say at xion something like "kill this dude"

still i think is a bluff 'cause.... the organizzation members are special for: powerful skills and memory of when their was "somebody" and turning then into a dusk could deprive them of their identity or the likes.

But I meant, since it's a kids game "I'll turn you into a dusk" is nicer than having him say "I'm going to slaughter you,  brutally hurt you, kill you".  Point being he's powerful enough to hurt them, but it's still a kids game where they'd want nicer threats for the audience, but we get the intent.

Well he holds power over nothingness it could be possible.  Xion also thought she would get turned into one if she didn't finish her missions properly but again who knows if that is possible. We never seen it happen but I'm saying it's possible for the first thing I said

The little lightshow display he pulls in KHII seems genuine, but who can know? It's never been said that he's ACTUALLY turned any of the members into Dusks.

don't sure about the nicer part... like i say turn into dusk can mean lost their identity, aka a psycological way to say "i'll let you alive but from a Nobody you'll become nobody" or the likes. in this case can be even worst then i simple "i kill you" :D (even if is a kill but an "i'll let you return normal" but this is another story called DDD)

I doubt their target audience would read that deeply into being turned into a dusk.  Locked in syndrome is meant to be worse than death but I doubt they were going for that vibe.  It's just a threat they can all throw around so you know Xemnas has the ability to control them, I can't see psychological torture in the middle of a Disney game

Think about it: what's the best way to get a bunch of rag tag Nobody idiots to get you to what you want? Threaten them to turn them into Nobodies hat can't even speak nor have a complex form of thought or decision making.

Bottom line: It sucks being a grunt.

That could have been what they were going for though. an implication of psychological breaking or torture. They've nearly done it in the series. Riku and Aqua both going to the Realm of Darkness and nearly giving in to despair, for one.
