Hero of Winds 2,576 Posted October 7, 2014 Never one to be overlooked, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker was a critical and crowd favorite during the E3 Expo video game trade show in June. The game launches Dec. 5 at a suggested retail price of $39.99 and lets players take control of intrepid explorer Captain Toad as he sets off on adventures like exploring a haunted house or escaping a smoldering volcano. Even though Toad characters have appeared in video games since the original Super Mario Bros. game on NES, this is the first time that one of them gets top billing. The game will also support select amiibo figures in 2015. http://www.nintendo.com/whatsnew/detail/G3YQClpzahmw97qVXCWrS4gFNc58o2K8 I'm just amazed by the price for this. It's a Wii U title, so the expected price is usually $59.99, but Toad's only going for $20 less. It wasn't expected, but it's definitely a noteworthy price. 2 Jilly Shears and Dio Brando reacted to this

While it's a noteworthy price I already saw it coming the day they announced the game at E3 is the game looked like to be a budget title....and a good one at that 2 Jilly Shears and Shulk reacted to this

Isaix 924 Posted October 7, 2014 (edited) The game looks good, but I'm still not convince that its worth 40$.It was a fun little distraction in 3D World, but nothing more for me.I'll probably wait a bit to see if its worth 40$ Edited October 7, 2014 by Isaix 1 Sarah Choco reacted to this
Shulk 8,623 Posted October 7, 2014 I had a feeling it wouldn't be the usual $60. It looks like a lot of fun, but it didn't feel like a big release similar to 3D World, Mario Kart, or Smash Bros. I was thinking it would be an eShop game for around $30, to be honest. I hope the price means that it has a lot more content than I expected. Regardless, I'm excited to play it! Setrex 1,031 Posted October 9, 2014 $40 aint that bad to be honest. I did expect a price around that figure though. My only problem is it still has that feeling of an eShop title. I might wait to see if they are offering any discounts towards the title if you've already purchased SM3DW.

If that could somehow apply to the physical version of 3D World (Club Nintendo, maybe?), I'd gladly take that discount.
