Timothy Ling Jit Houng 69 Posted October 7, 2014 Does anything Namine draws on her sketch book will enter Sora's memory? It looks like so... I like Donald !!!
Reflet 201 Posted October 7, 2014 I don't think so, if that's the case, why Sora doesn't know anything about Xion? Also, I think we know you like Donald...
Firaga 5,947 Posted October 7, 2014 We've seen that she's drawn pictures of a lot of things, including some important events and people like Roxas, Axel/Lea, Xion, and other things, so if Sora recieved all that information, he'd pretty much be Captain Exposition. lol 1 LeYenrz reacted to this
Hero of Light XIV 2,381 Posted October 7, 2014 (edited) I'd like to think that Namine has direct control over what gets written into Sora's memory and when, so it's not like anything she draws in the sketchbook suddenly appears in Sora's mind. It's just more of a medium sort of thing. She can get brief glimpses of what might happen and depicts them in drawings, while she gains knowledge of the things that already have happened and depicts them in drawings as well. As with creating memories, she has to draw them with the intent of creating them. Plus, there seem to be other "rules" with memories that she can't seem to alter, such as never actually "erasing" all of Sora's true memories and not being able to make Sora realize what he has to do in order to fix every problem. So to put it plainly, she gets to decide what get's to be a memory or not when she draws in her sketchbook and not everything she draws becomes something real. Some of those are just what they are, drawings. The drawings don't have power, Namine does, she just has to decide whether she will put the power into a particular drawing or not. Ven983 490 Posted October 7, 2014 I think visually it is just there to help the player see her power. Story wise, I think it is her way of a relief. She has so much happening in her head that it would probably be a way for her to put it down somewhere so she doesn't have to try and remember.

That must be how Sora knows about Castle Oblivion!
Hero of Light XIV 2,381 Posted October 8, 2014 Yeah! That must be how Sora knows about Castle Oblivion! Actually, Namine had nothing to do with that. Sora just sort of figured it out on his own. He remembered his promise to Namine and the adventure he had there, and it's most likely that Riku explained most of what Sora missed out. Either way, Sora recovered his memories on his own terms. The way she fixed Sora's memories, Namine had to erase his memories of Castle Oblivion. Once his memory was repaired, she couldn't re-do the new links that she had just undone, Sora had to pick up the pieces and arrange them himself. Namine isn't a goddess, she can only do so much.
