It's funny how this is already finished, yet we still have to wait two extra months. And I am pretty sure that that's not because it takes longer to release both at around the same time. Square just likes their limited exclusivity in Japan for kicks.

 

Honestly, this pisses me off more than when it was found out that Bioware had left data on the Mass Effect 3 disc that they obviously cut out to turn into day 1 DLC.

I think they're making us wait because obviously when it releases in December, it'll be Holiday season and it'll probably get more buys before the price drops. 

 

But yeah, I'm really pissed they keep on screwing us US fans over, even after we took the time out of our day to do a Survey for them that's supposed to make THE CUSTOMERS MORE SATISFIED...... They obviously want to Spite the US fans and give the Japan fans all the glory. Even though I don't think I met a single japanese/chnieese person that even likes Kingdom Hearts.  :dry:

I remember putting in for one of the answers of the survey that I specifically would like to see 2.5 released at around the same time as the Japanese, but obviously my one preference isn't going to sway an entire company. You're probably right in that they're releasing around Christmas for that reason, but that doesn't mean diddly-shit to me personally. 

 

The only positive I can think of out of this is that because it's coming out in December for us, the Christmas section of Halloween Town in KHII fits the tone of the release date. But I'd still prefer it come out sooner.

This sounds like a complex hack. I wanna know how they did it so I can import and still play in English. 

 

It seems strange that all the localized text would be in the JP version. The only reason I could think of is considering dual-language options like with the original FFX International, only to have it removed.

 

I wonder if the English version will have Japanese text and voices hidden in the code now.

I know she had said a while ago that she might not come back to doing kingdom hearts because she had moved on to more mature stuff. Most of the English text is already in the game. Keyword most, BBS isn't fully touched up yet. And I've heard the English dub for coded isn't in the JP version at all for whatever reason.

Well Kairi's original voice actress came back to voice two really short lines in Birth by Sleep so I'm sure Willa Holland came back to voice Aqua for the Secret Episode, and Aqua dose say more then just that one line she talks at the beginning of the Secret Episode and before she fights that Red Eye Heartless

Yeah the more I listen to it, the harder it is to tell. It's kinda like her voice, but it's kinda not. It's a little higher than Willa's voice, and kinda missing that slightly raspy (best word I could think of) quality she can have. But it's just so short, I really can't tell. Maybe it will be in the credits if it changed

That's exactly my point. It released in Japan on March, 2013 and E3 was in June. We had to wait all the way up until October. They might have still been doing the localization during that time, but in this case, there's really no excuse. Even the 'they're waiting until the holidays' reason is still shit for everyone else who's waiting for the game.

Well, well. I didn't even know about this scene. Looks like they got Haley Joel and David Gallagher to reprise the role for this little bit near the end of KHIIFM. Kinda funny how we had that whole conversation about the differences in Sora's voice in that one thread and now they're kind of jumbled together in one game, even if it is for only a minute-long scene.
