We are all looking forward to the legendary title Final Fantasy XV. I found this on the Final Fantasy wiki page: Final Fantasy XVI. This is the link to the page:

Apparently, this shows stuff that might happen or it is something else.  Legitimate or not? You decide. THIS IS NOT A REPORT OF AN ANNOUNCEMENT! I am merely showing what I have found.

I think whoever wrote that was just thinking of "what if" and wrote it in his spare time. I don't think he was trying to fool anyone.

Yeah, that's true. It would be cool if all of that were to become reality wouldn't it?

Maybe, except for that part about sequels. Who knows how bad a FFXVI-4 or 5 would be?

 

But in the end, all of that is just hopes and dreams, simple as that.

XVI is likely already in development with Project Flare and is being directed by Ito.

But does it even have a chance to be released Dec 2017 like that silly page is suggesting!?!? (I would assume late 2018 at the earliest) Since you tend to make good guesses when it comes to Square.

That's the thing, that date on Wikipedia is definitely a placeholder date but Square Enix do love releasing Final Fantasy games around then. Especially when you consider that month is the 30th anniversary of the Final Fantasy series. It's definitely possible they'll release XVI around then but it's too early to call.
