Sorual 607 Posted September 22, 2014 remember when pit was introduced to smash? almost nobody has heard of him (i wish i was one of the few people that did T_T) then he became such a popular charicter! then kid icarus uprising happened thanks to smash bros brawl! (thank you brawl!!!!) i know it didnt happen with ice climbers but it still seems like a valid conclusion for duck hunt to at least MIGHT be revived. maybe a remake or something on the eshop for 10-20 dollars (i cant see what else they could do with duck hunt ) what are your thoughts? 1 daxvzukss reacted to this

It didn't really happen with Mother either, although, the only reason Kid Icarus got revived was because of Sakurai (A.K.A. the guy who made Smash and Kirby) reviving it. If it wasn't for him, chances are it wouldn't have come to be either. : Although i admit, Smash did help alot of lesser known series get better recognition. 1 Sorual reacted to this

Reyn 1,755 Posted September 22, 2014 In more ways than one -__- Yeah, i know. It was a pretty crushing blow this time around, i mean, EB technically got one of the best and most fanservicey stages in the 3DS version(although that's probably only thanks to the 25th anniversary this year), but we lost Lucas, so...Yeah, it has a little more and less representation at the same time. Better than what happened to Starfox, DK and Metroid though, they didn't really get anything new, and Starfox lost a unique rep. : 2 Sorual and Cucco reacted to this

But anyway, yeah, at least they're getting more games though, better than what's happening with Mother anyway. 1 Sorual reacted to this

PROCEED AT YOUR OWN RISK the fact that there was a leak for ridley to be in the wii u version of smash and unlocked in the 3ds version by linking them. ridley, mewtwo, dixie kong, and chorus kids. fits the ghematsu leak perfectly. I had hopes for that at first, but doubtful, the 3DS ROM of Smash 4 got dumped onto the internet before, and there was no data of those chars. or anything extra in the ROM. If that was true, there'd be at least A LITTLE data for them being unlocked by linking them, seriously, there's no way it wouldn't not be in the game unless it wasn't added. :

darkerturbo 168 Posted September 22, 2014 I think that duck hunt dog having a skin that's likely based on banjo-kazooie was meant as a hint. It could mean he'll get a collect-a-thon platformer in the same vein. 1 Sorual reacted to this
Reyn 1,755 Posted September 22, 2014 this is probably wishful thinking but maybe an update? Maybe, who knows. I guess that could work, but if it was an Update, shouldn't they just wait and add it as DLC instead of that? Free DLC anyway. I think that duck hunt dog having a skin that's likely based on banjo-kazooie was meant as a hint. It could mean he'll get a collect-a-thon platformer in the same vein. I honestly think DHD is the closest we're going to get to Banjo-Kazooie honestly. I mean, we already have 3 third party chars. in the game, we kind of don't need more. Reyn 1,755 Posted September 23, 2014 (edited) Data of those characters can be added with an updatepatch for the game I guess that's true, but IDK how a leaker would find out about that though if that's the case. Unless the characters are automatically unlocked in the Wii U version regardless of what you do. Edited September 23, 2014 by Reyn

Outside of Megaman hopefully being revived I think F-Zero will come back I mean not only Sakurai did mention that in a Miiverse post, but the DLC for Mario Kart 8 has a track from F-Zero(I think it's Mute City) and the Blue Falcon as an extra vechile

Reyn 1,755 Posted September 23, 2014 well, the ghematsu leaker was right about almost EVERYTHING ELSE like megaman, shulk, palutena, and even predicted wii fit trainer. The Gematsu leak was already proven fake, it was de-bunked when he ended up claiming Chrom was the newcomer, when it was really Robin. Plus, no Chorus Boys in the game anyway. Their trophy shouldve shed some light on that if it was true, but it didn't. : That's a possibility,Namco previously had all characters unlocked in two of their fighting games (Tekken 6 and TTT2),in TTT2 though even though all characters were unlocked they added more characters by updates so they might do the same for Smash Bros on Wii U to save time That would make sense, i wouldn't be too surprised if that happened. To be fair, Megaman's been wanted in Smash for a long time, so it's not that unexpected. Also, with Xenoblade Chronicles X coming out, it'd be smart to put Shulk in, as it'd draw more awareness of the game and might help yield more sales. Plus Xenoblade is revered as one of the greatest JRPGs of the last gen., and Sakurai was a huge fan, so it was inevitable. Wii Fit Trainer, i admit, is a stretch, but that's the only real unlikely one, the others were a bit predictable honestly. : 2 Dio Brando and daxvzukss reacted to this

(altho i guess scince they arent making the game its not that odd) i dont hate capcom (i only dislike the disitions the higher ups are making. capcom as a company has potential for great game therefore i cant bring myself to hate them. i wish the higher ups were replaced tho.[one of the reasons i want nintendo to buy capcom]), but i was still surprized that megaman was permited. Well, Capcom made it clear that they don't care for Megaman anymore, so they probably figured "Eh whatever, MM doesn't matter to us, why shouldn't we let him be in Smash?" 1 Dio Brando reacted to this
