thecriticgamer 7 Posted September 22, 2014 (edited) KH3, was announced ad E3 2013, we saw since there one short trailer and a teaser, and that's is. When they had the opportunity to show the game they didn't. Why? They blowing out so much information about Kingdom Hearts 2.5 Remix(which I can't have so, sucks) and even Final Fantasy 15 they show gameplay footage of it, is Square Enix incompetent about KH3 they rather not show it? I mean it was, what, two monthes since we saw the teaser? Yeah they working on KH2.5 Remix but I perfer if they released more information about KH3 as well, the game everybody is waiting for. Maybe Square is waiting for the hype for KH2.5 Remix and then release more information but for the fans who are wating so much for new information about KH3 I feel it's unaccepteable. If you have anyting to say about this topic, free to share it down here. Edited September 22, 2014 by thecriticgamer
TerraRedeemed 255 Posted September 22, 2014 The plain truth is that they likely don't have anything to show. Nomura was only just recently able to put all of his focus on it.

thecriticgamer 7 Posted September 22, 2014 It's still in the very early stages of development. They had a year, even more.
Hero of Light XIV 2,381 Posted September 22, 2014 The reason they have been so quiet is because they are still working on it. You only show something when you have something good to show. At this point all they would have to show are generic polygon environments with no features to them whatsoever, and incomplete animations and textures to the characters. What we got in the teaser looked fine on it's own, but somehow I feel that was nowhere near where they wanted the quality to be. Plus, they really want to show something new, and they are still working on how the gameplay will work. It's kind of unreasonable to ask/demand to be shown something good immediately when they're still working on stuff to show. It's not like they've got the game finished or didn't work on it at all and are trying to hide it from the masses, they are just busy working on it. And what's with the whole "hiding kh3 from 'US'" thing? Are you talking about "US" as in "us" the fans, or are you talking about "US" as in the "United States"? From what you've said, it makes more sense if you're talking about the fanbase in general, because really, there's no reason to believe that the States are being left out of everything (except for that damn special edition of 2.5...). If that is what you meant, then you have to understand when it's a good time to capitalize your words for emphasis and when not to, because it could confuse a lot of people. They had a year, even more. And that's not nearly enough time to make something polished to show everyone without it looking ugly. That would be like if you kept working on a massive sculpture at home for an art project, but kept bringing it to your friends everyday to show how far you got with it. You'd be showing them every step you took, but you would be taking longer and longer to make the sculpture because you wanted to share EVERYTHING about the process. There are some times where you show that, and times you don't. You have to decide on whether you want to prioritize on keeping everyone in the loop all the time or to prioritize on finishing it as fast as possible with fewer distractions. 1 littleTSUBAME reacted to this
Sora96 17,256 Posted September 22, 2014 They had a year, even more. And they've been working on the HD collections in that time and Nomura was busy with other projects.
Hero of Light XIV 2,381 Posted September 22, 2014 You can rest assured that they ARE working on it and that there is room for even more progress with Nomura back focusing solely on all things Kingdom Hearts related. And even if they did work on any other projects on the side, they wouldn't be nearly as demanding as XV and III are, so delays would not be as drastic as the last 8 years or so. They will show things only when they have things to show. If they haven't shown or talked about anything yet, that's because they are still working on something to present or talk about in more depth than just "well, we could put this in, but we're only thinking about it right now". Just wait and let things progress, and stuff will start coming out when it's ready.
Shulk 8,623 Posted September 22, 2014 They showed it off way too early. Keep in mind this is the company that's taken 8 years to make the next FF game...
Rinax 473 Posted September 22, 2014 Patience is important. Think about other things in the meantime. Square likes to take their time with their games.
Forever 3,550 Posted September 22, 2014 The truth is that Japan got KH3 last year, and now they're just waiting until everyone on the island has played it before they allow a world-wide release.

atheist123 583 Posted September 22, 2014 FFXV has been in full development for two years, while KH3 has only very recently started going into full development. At e3 2013, the trailer was literally* all the team had done on the game. Getting some gameplay at D23 last year was a surprise. With Nomura at the helm again, I expect some news next year.*my use of "literally" isn't the literal meaning of literally.

thecriticgamer 7 Posted September 22, 2014 (edited) I know they are working on KH3, I know Nomura is now put all of his focus on KH3. I am patient about it and I am currently playing other games. I know they showed KH3 too early, but when I said show us some thngs I ment for more information not just by gameplay and cutscenes, but by telling us about it, they are releasing information about KH3, but that information is not telling us about the worlds, gameplay and more, and I agree to not to share anything but a little more will be good. And about the remake slowing down KH3, that is why I think they should have made KH3 before this. And when I said us I ment the fans. Sorry I didn't made that clear. And if a game is too early for showing it then wait. And yeh we will have to wait for Jump Feasta 2015  Edited September 22, 2014 by thecriticgamer

It's one thing to say "oh, I would like to see Frozen in it if it's possible, it would have this and it would have that", but it's another thing entirely to say "Frozen is the only world we have made so far and now we are at a loss at what else to put in the game at the moment". Right now they are just focusing on giving the game a backbone and basic structure. The worlds and such don't come until they finish up the main gameplay components. And personally, I tend to prefer having big announcement days on special occasions like Jump Feasta, seeing as how we get so much in one day. It's really just the lack of any Kingdom Hearts related news that drives me a little bonkers.

And they can tell us a little of the gameplay.

KingdomHearts3 2,591 Posted September 26, 2014 Of course they are hiding it. They don't want hype to get too high and fan expectations to become unreasonable. After HD 2.5 ReMix is out around the world, then all eyes will be on KH3. There is still Jump Festa 2015 which is December 21st, so by then, we might get new information. MysticVriska 70 Posted October 8, 2014 (edited) It is possible for something to be revealed at Jump Festa indeed, S-E are known for that apparently. To what extent is hard to say, but I imagine, realistically, it'll be information only, and nothing visual, especially considering they switched over to a different engine. I am aware we don't know exactly when the switch happened, but still. It may not have been long enough ago back to have a trailer ready for December either. AuraAce 1,126 Posted October 10, 2014 They aren't hiding it. It's a Next-Gen game, something they have never worked with before. It's hard to just go and pump out a trailer every couple of months because it takes months to make them, that's wasted months that could be used in developing KHIII.
