Its been revealed that you play Phantom Noctis who is Regis that had plastic surgery and reworked memories to be his son while the real Noctis is actually Luna, which mean the real Noctis had a sex change and the final boss is The Joker who names himself Superman. Super Man, Batman and Aquaman are your ultimate summons. They are the Chocobros in there true forms. There human form was just to look after plastic surgery Regis who thinks he's Noctis. Also Regis in the movie was actually Kefka,

Also Lighting appears as a secret boss in a post game dungeon based on Vahalla. You fight her and Stella shows up screen goes black and then in a way simalir to BBS final mix secret ending a title card appears.
