I know that, but even so, it was relatively consistent up until after he actually had his legit. fight with Itachi. After that it was all over the place with his motives and actions, and the fact that he literally gets over his entire hate deal with Naruto and the leaf period after wanting to literally massacre Naruto, the Kages and make a Revolution within the Leaf Village in a matter of hours after his last battle with Naruto. It wasn't paced well enough, it was rushed. And that in turn, affected the SasuSaku ship in terms of his feelings to Sakura suddenly resurfacing after 4 years of not giving a shit for her.

And then he just leaves their kid with her too after supposedly reforming and returning fully from his "clarity exploration" to clear his path. :

He didn't turn right away. He still had a motive to kill Naruto and take his revenge over the Leaf when he sided with the Alliance. It was basically the reason why Vegeta decided to aid Goku and co. against the Ginyu Force: "the enemy of my enemy is my friend".

But of course, as we pay attention to his subtle actions/inner thoughts from that point onto when he fights Naruto for the last time, we can see he's gone through the full transition of accepting his current state and the want to make amends for past mistakes.

I meant him turning during the battle between himself and Naruto, i know he only sided with the alliance to take care of the bigger, more important threat of Madara and Kaguya.

True, we saw his transition, but really, you don't see him truly acknowledging his mistakes and his full transition until the very end of the fight immediately after Naruto starts saying that he'll never stop fighting him until he finally realizes how screwed up his motives and state of mind is. Literally prior to the fight he was all for the revolution and killing Naruto, in the span of a day he's already letting go of that and immediately makes a whiplash turn on wanting to make up for everything, and suddenly telling Sakura that there might be a chance for the two of them when he returns from his trip. This is why Kishi needed a few more issues than he had to pace the ending, this part felt rushed and it just made Sasuke out to be even weirder in his characterization than he already was.

Sasuke is a quiet person, he doesn't deliver inner monologues that often.

Also, that didn't happen in one day. It took time for Tsunade to create fake arms for Sasuke and Naruto, and for Neji's funeral, and to have Tsunade step down as Hokage and give the position to Kakashi with enough time to have his face carved into Mount Ninjamore completley. That's a least a month or two.

I know, but i figured this would be an exception that we'd see more of the transition through the course of the battle rather than seeing his thoughts at the very end, it kind of feels rushed in that aspect.

Ok, you have a point there, there was a decent amount of time for him to change fully. But even then, Sasuke had to have returned from his journey of clarity at some point during the time gap with 699 and 700 in order to have Sarada with Sakura and then leave right after for the next 12 years of her life. He said he'd only return when his journey was finished, and he had to have done it at some point in the 20 years, only to leave again for some unknown reason at this time. He seems more pre-occupied with his own motives than he seems to care about Sakura TBH, which isn't really good for a relationship. Especially one made up of two of the most prominent chars. in the series. :

Maybe there's something else going on that we don't know about. Something that will tie into the current Sarada story.

It's called drama.

HOLY SHIT, NINJA PHONES xD

I'm sorry, but that tidbit was gold. lol Anyways:

Turns out Sasuke was being followed by this Whis-looking motherf*cker, who bears the Uchiha crest and has the Sharingan. This guy apparently works for some other mysterious figure who has the Akatsuki logo on their cloak. Then, we get more on Sarada, who talks with Shizune and decides that she wants to find out more information on her birth. We go back to Chouchou (geez, seriously, Chouchou of all people is playing second fiddle to Sarada, just wow lol), who complains more about being Choji's and Karui's daughter (and apparently burgers are a thing in ninja-verse now xD), when Sarada comes in and asks for her help. Before Mitsuki stops by and shows us that he's the kind of annoying dick who questions people's moralities (kinda like Sai), Chouchou decides that she wants to find her "real parents", which of course plays into what Sarada is feeling at the moment. Later, Naruto and Shikamaru get a message from Sasuke's falcon (with Naruto commenting that Sasuke is old-fashioned and Shikamaru replying that he can't charge his phone in the woods, FREAKING YES xD), and then Naruto calls Kakashi so that Yamato can be put on guard for the village or something, Idk. :/ That part wasn't very clear to me. Anyways, with Sarada in earshot, Naruto and Shikamaru head out to meet Sasuke and then investigate Orochimaru's base (Kakashi pondered that the Whis-looking guy was either a direct descendant of the Uchiha or an experiment of Orochimaru. Maybe that's what the scene was for. lol). Sarada decides to follow them, with Chouchou following due to her own (stupid) desire to find out the truth about her parents.

So yeah, pretty okay chapter, nothing too off-the-wall (not counting all the awesome modern tech stuff lol). I'm interested to see who this Whis guy really is, and who he's working for, and how Orochimaru plays into it, and I know he does because I don't think Kakashi would bring up that he could possibly be one of his experiments without it holding any weight. Also, the Whis guy was mumbling something about Itachi, so that could be a clue. Also, Sarada and Chouchou teaming up is bounds for some interesting and hilarious dynamics. lol

Chapter 700+3 is out: http://www.mangapanda.com/naruto-gaiden-the-seventh-hokage/3

This chapter is fairly simple, but a lot did happen. Basically, Naruto heads out to track down the two baddies, and Sarada and Chouchou start to follow him. Then Boruto and Mitsuki show up. Boruto has a bento in his hand made by Hinata for Naruto and he has to deliver it to him. Sarada, as part of her plan to follow Naruto, offers to take the lunch for him. There's some back-and-forth, Mitsuki/Chouchou comedy, Boruto thinking of Hinata (who's rocking the short hair once more) after Sarada guilt trips him into giving her the lunch after Boruto decides to be a dick and take the lunch home. Anyway, Sarada and Chouchou go on their way (with some guy with a Ten Tails(?) eye watching them, hmmmm), and an after Shin Uchiha (the Whis-looking guy) and the hooded Akatsuki guy (who also has a sharingan) sense them, Shin attacks them. Sarada and Chouchou put up a good fight (Chouchou even gets to use Akimichi style jutsu) but when they're cornered, Naruto comes in to save the day and confronts Shin.

Not much to say about this chapter except that I liked it and I still have more questions about Shin, the Akatsuki cloak guy, and that guy who had a Ten Tails(?) looking eye. #ChoMit #BoruSara #Hinata #ShinUchiha #NarutoTime

I think Tobi is Izuna Uchiha.

(Sorry for quoting, but it's to validate my opinion xD)

Good times, when we didn't know who Tobi was xD

Now as for the latest chapter of Gaiden, there's a theory where people say that the new Akatsuki guy is Uchiha Shisui.

And I don't blame them to think like that xD

Kabuto stated that he never found Shisui's body. The same happened with Obito

- The new guy's nose is extremely similiar to Shisui's

- His Sharingan might prove that he's under the Edo Tensei Jutsu. Black eyes means Edo Tensei.

A book called "Michi" was released during the Naruto Exbition, and ShonenGameZ.com managed to get a copy and has translated some entries.

The first entry is "20 Facts You Probably Didn't Know About Mashashi Kishimoto".

1) In Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #43, Naruto’s first serial appearance, Kishmoto had the following to say: “Ever since I was a little kid, I’ve always dreamed of having my own action hero comic in Jump!” (Year: 1999)

2) “As many movies started becoming available in DVD, Kishimoto, an avowed movie lover, rejoiced at the chance to use the DVD player he’d bought before starting work on the series! However, he had no time to watch movies due to the pressures of writing a weekly comic.” (Year: 2000)

3) “Kishimoto attends his first post-recording session for the anime adaptation. Seeing the dedication of the voice actors, director, and production staff inspires him to work even harder.” (Year: 2002)

4) “Naruto celebrates its 4th anniversary. Kishimoto worries about how the structure of manga is too restrictive because of the way the dialogue bubbles must be arranged from the top right to the bottom left.” (Year: 2003)

5) “Kishimoto gets married! Thanking everyone who attended his wedding ceremony, he expresses a renewed commitment to work harder than ever on the manga.” (Year: 2003)

6) “Volume 24 of the Jump Comics edition of Naruto hits the shelves. Once again, the comic hearkens back to Kishimoto’s youth as an avid fan of Dragon Ball, motivating him to make Naruto the best it can be.” (Year: 2004)

7) “Kishimoto’s favorite time of the day is the refreshing hour between 10:00 and 11:00 a.m. However, with the intense demands of his workload, those hours eventually become a valuable source of sleep for Kishimoto.” (Year: 2006)

8) “Everyone at the office is talking about the eagerly anticipated Final Fantasy XII. To Kishimoto’s chagrin, he is too busy to play it or even share much in the excitement.” (Year: 2006)

9) “Kishimoto witnesses two stray cats fighting in the street. Gripped by the spectacle, he finds he can’t run away.” (Year: 2007)

10) “Though he’s devoted several long years to writing a manga about ninja, Kishimoto reflects that “recently, it feels less like what you’d expect a ninja manga to be.” (Year: 2008)

11) “Kishimoto says that around this time he started getting very forgetful, often misspelling words and characters’ names” (Year: 2008)

12) “The new Naruto movie debuts, featuring Naruto, Kakashi, Shikamaru, and all of the Konoha characters in the same story! Kishimoto is excited beyond words!” (Year: 2009)

13) “Kishimoto sleeps through the World Baseball Classic. His assistants were very enthusiastic, but he could not join in the conversation.” (Year: 2009)

14) “Kishimoto stumbles upon an elementary school student reading a book on the theory of relativity at the library. He is astounded and deeply impressed.” (Year: 2010)

15) “Kishimoto asks his wife for help depicting what Kushina must have felt when she gave birth to Naruto.” (Year: 2010)

16) “On the title page of every Jump Comics edition, Kishimoto includes an illustration of all the characters featured in that volume. He mentions that it was a tough year when he wrote volumes 55 and 56, because the main characters were all old men.” (Year: 2011)

17) “Kishimoto hits upon great ideas while taking baths. He wants to write them down, but he forgets them by the time he gets out the tub….” (Year: 2012)

18) “After a hard days work, Kishimoto takes his colleagues out to eat and leads them in a toast. It’s always the same: “Thank you for all your hard work today.” Although, one gets the feeling his assistants wish he would say just a little more… (Year: 2013)

19) “Kishimoto tries to sing the movie’s theme song at karaoke. But it’s a bit out of his range, and the performance leaves a bit to be desired!” (Year: 2014)

20) “Kishimoto poses for a family portrait. The photographer praises his ability to be completely still for long periods of time!” (Year: 2014)

There is another entry called "11 Facts About Oda And Kishimoto That You Probably Didn't Know", which delves into more factoids about Mr. Kishimoto as well as his rival/friend and author of One Piece, Einchiro Oda.

1) The Camouflage Technique Kishimoto used in Naruto Chapter #241 influenced the way Oda drew the cloaking effect for the Clear-Clear Fruit.

2) Kishimoto always had Naruto returning to the village to differentiate from One Piece’s always roaming adventure.

3) Kishimoto decided that Naruto should have his companions around in the beginning whereas Luffy made friends as he went on his travels.

4) Both Kishimoto and Oda made attempts to not duplicate each other. For example, even when they both drew similar techniques like Luffy’s Gum-Gum Giant Pistol and Choji’s Partial Multi-Size Technique.

5) Oda spoke to Kishimoto before giving Luffy his “Giant Pistol” technique after seeing a scene where Choji’s hand got big. He told Kishimoto “Hey, I’m copying your style here. Sorry.” Kishimoto was fine with this though.

6) Sanji’s name was originally supposed to be Naruto, but Oda changed it when he found out the Naruto manga was releasing. Kishimoto said that if Oda would have kept that name, he probably would have changed Naruto’s name to other ramen words like “Menma” or “Shinachiku”.

7) Oda’s favorite characters are Rock Lee and Might Guy. Kishimoto was inspired by the Jackie Chan movies he used to watch.

8) Oda’s favorite character was also Zabuza and during the Land of Waves Arc, Kishimoto said he was getting a fever nearly every week when drawing that arc, but he said he had to keep going.

9) Kishimoto’s most difficult period was doing the final chapter in color. He also felt that he was running out of space to wrap things up. He usually would carry the story onto the next issue, but this time he couldn’t do it.

10) Oda would like to end One Piece on a nice and happy note, but getting to that point is going to be very difficult.

11) Kishimoto would like to work on something related to science fiction. Possibly something that has to do with clouds and the sky. Kishimoto was very jealous when Oda made the Skypiea Saga, it was something he wanted to do first, but was beaten to it.

Boooooo, Weedanort.

Okay, but seriously, onto Chapter 704:

This chapter started off with Naruto fighting Shin and breaking out his Bijuu Mode to do so, and then we see that the mini-Juubi from a couple chapters ago use Kamui to teleport Shin away. After some small talk and hi-jinks with Naruto, Sarada, and Chouchou (including some heartwarming/funny moments with Naruto and Sarada as well as Chouchou's usual brand of cracks plus her fangirling over Naruto), the three reach the tower where they are supposed to meet Sasuke. Sarada goes on ahead (while managing to unlock her Sharingan for the first time in the series), and well, Weedanort already showed what happened in that exchange... so yeah, that's not good.

Overall: this chapter was really good. We got a little bit of action and some nice character interaction, which I always enjoy. Naruto as an adult/Hokage is exactly the kind of guy you would expect based off his overall personality and its nice to see him be all uncle-y to Sarada (and her being really cute and happy in return) and just really chill in front of the kids in general. Naruto as a whole really showed how calm and poised he's become as a ninja when he scuffled with Shin. He really has grown a lot. As for what happened with Sasuke and Sarada, well, I hope that its just a fake-out and Sasuke is actually aiming for some enemy that just happened to appear behind Sarada at that moment, or maybe its actually not Sasuke and instead some kind of genjutsu, or vice versa. #NarutoVSShin #KuramaReturns #Fangirling #CoolUncleNaruto #SharinganSarada
