Technically, Weed might be right. New Shonen Jump mags release the week before the official release. Boruto comes out next week, so the Japanese stores now have the WSJ magazines that has the new Boruto series this week, but will put them on display next week. This allows the employees to "buy" a magazine and take pics, scan and upload to the internet which may take a few days, creating the term "Raw spoilers"

 

What am I saying? Spoilers of Boruto's new manga may be up tomorrow, or in a few days, then chapter gets translated and ink'd and the new chapter will be up before the official release on April 27. I take it with a grain of salt, and check the manga website daily just in case.

Also, I was watching the Boruto movie teaser again, and noticed something. When it showed some characters, a few words came up. Sarada had rival, and I guess it's kinda obvious she'd be Boruto's rival. It said master for Sasuke, though... Any thoughts as to what's up with that?

 

Or I could have mixed up the words and who they went to. ._.

Apparantly for this they are. Probably because its Naruto.

Thanks to Weed, I couldn't help but read the first chapter of Gaiden the second I heard it came out!

And here is the summary and my thoughts: 

 

 

Well that sure was an intro. We start off with all the kiddies in class with Old Man Shino talking about their graduation and whatnot, and we get a general mindset of what most of the kids have in terms of being a ninja, in particular Boruto, Sarada, Shikadai and Chouchou. Yeah. Chouchou. Didn't think she'd be part of this layout, let me tell ya. lol But anyways, Boruto is excited of course, Shikadai thinks its a pain, again, of course, Chouchou says it would be worth it if she could lose weight (so I guess we're going for a parallel to Choji's mindset about weight, interesting) and Sarada, well, she thinks being a ninja is stupid. Why, well lets continue. We cut to Sarada and Chouchou talking which leads us to see Old Man Choji, still smiling and stuffing his face, where Sarada says that Chouchou should appreciate her having a dad, no doubt linked to some daddy issues with Sasuke, sort of referenced before with the ninja stuff too. Then we cut to Boruto messing around with Naruto, and of course, that dang Boruto is getting into trouble. Naruto has Sai and Inojin help him out, featuring some banter that involves Inojin calling Sai's taste in art "ancient" (I'm starting to see a pattern here). Boruto runs into Sarada, who actually helps him out by misleading Naruto in the wrong direction after Boruto hides in the folds of a sign. Really good stealth work. But then of course Old Man Shikamaru shows up to ruin Boruto's fun, with Shikadai being a butthole at his side, which then cuts to Sarada going home to Sakura and asking about Sasuke. This leads to Sarada upsetting Sakura and she punches a hole in ground. She apologizes, Sarada cries, and holy crap, their house falls down. No shit. lol Apparantly, Sakura had a loan due for the house or something... I don't know, it just sort of happens out of the blue, but anyways, Sakura falls ill and is taken in by Shizune, who says she faints regulary, and Sarada goes back to the house to collect some things. There she picks up a picture of Sasuke and Sakura and lo and behold, she unfolds it and finds some hidden shots of Suigetsu and Karin next to Sasuke, and of course, questions the "woman in glasses" as we cut to a single panel of Sasuke in the forest, as the end credits tell us that Sasuke is returning.

 

So holy crap on a stick, a lot happened in the span of one chapter. We got to see some new faces, old faces, new issues and debatably old issues pop up in the world of Naruto. I was not expecting the first chapter to go this way, in fact, I didn't really have an idea of what would happen at all in this first chapter, but it was definitely interesting. The thing with Sarada and Sasuke and Karin I have a feeling some people could have predicted, and I'm sure we all know where this might be leading and all I can say is: wow, this is a weird route to be going right off the bat, but hey, I'm still interested. lol A couple of things I'd like to note: I wonder who that blue haired kid Boruto is sitting next to, are we going to see Lee's son/student, Himawari, Hinata, and any of the other past characters soon, what kind of techniques does Chouchou know, how are the kids going to fare in their upcoming exams, why the heck did the Haruno/Uchiha house fall down, what "loan" is Sakura talking about, and does she possibly have some kind of illness that is constantly making her faint? And where the HELL is Orochimaru?... Well, I guess we'll find out later, but until then, here we go, the beginning of Naruto Gaiden. #BlueHairedKid #BorutoStealth #ChouChou-rexic #Dick-adai #SakuraDown #SasukeandKarin

Choji seems like the best parent , Sai's apparently that wanna-be cool dad, Shikamaru needs more chill, Chouchou too. Speaking of Chouchou, why does she curse so much!? Those dang Japs, I swear!

Though thr real question is... When did Team Taka take a group photo?

 

 

Note : I'm expecting a chapter where the Mother's get together and talk about their family ninja issues. I would love to see Kiba though.

It's not official yet. Nobody outright said that Karin is Sarada's real mom. Besides, after some re-evalution, I've come to the conclusion that Karin is not Sarada's mom. Sasuke and Karin having a child in it of itself is just nonsense if you think about it logically. A) Sasuke and Karin have never had romantic feelings for one another, B) there is literally no point in the series where it has ever been implied or where it can take place and C) Even if the assumption, which a lot of people have made, that Sasuke conceived Sarada with Karin so that she would have Uzumaki/Uchiha blood which would lead to her having Rinnegan... why? Sasuke doesn't need the Rinnegan in his daughter, he already has the Rinnegan. It's not like he needs a weapon or anything. He's the reincarnation of Indra, for Kaguya's sake. So yeah, I can't buy this. This is just a personal conflict used for Sarada that by the end, will be resolved and we'll find out that Sasuke and Sakura are Sarada's real parents and then conflict resolve and cue the happy ending.

Woooow, okay Sensei, though i never implied Sasuke banged Karin, "Karin" isn't even in my post.I said Sasuke hit it and QUIT it WITH Sakura because Sarada stated Sasuke wasn't around when she was born. The similarities is ridiculous, but WHY would Sasuke go for Karin? He literally almost murdered her and did a half-azzed apology. Also I apologized for not putting my previous post in status (even though people should expect other people to be discussing the new chapter and not browsing forums that are likely to be discussing the new chapter - EVERY week.)
