Firaga 5,947 Posted December 29, 2014 So I don't know if anyone ever took notice of this, but from Volumes 22 to 66 of the manga, there was a special segment at the end of each volume called "Naruto Orichara" where fans would send in drawings and sketches and Kishimoto would pick the one he liked the most and draw it in his own style. I gotta say, there were a lot of cool looking concepts for most of these characters: http://naruto.wikia.com/wiki/Naruto_Orichara (This is a Spanish wiki, but it has images for all the characters) http://es.naruto.wikia.com/wiki/Naruto_Orichara

Weedanort 8,786 Posted January 4, 2015 Is this still alive? I wonder how they're gonna implement Fuu into the Chuunin Shiken, seriously, she might be too OP if she knows how to handle the Seven Tails 1 Firaga reacted to this
Firaga 5,947 Posted January 5, 2015 Is this still alive? I wonder how they're gonna implement Fuu into the Chuunin Shiken, seriously, she might be too OP if she knows how to handle the Seven Tails Obviously she's not going to actually be in the Exams. The popular speculation is that the Akatsuki are going to be hunting her down, which would be interesting to see transpire alongside the exams.
Shulk 8,623 Posted January 5, 2015 "The anime will not have any more filler." Aside from, you know, how many filler episodes we've gotten? I will say I'm excited about this arc, though. I just think it had absolutely horrible timing, considering the cliffhanger in the last episode. Anime-only fans are going to be pissed off.

Firaga 5,947 Posted January 14, 2015 (edited) ... So... uh... Naruto is getting a live action musical. http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2014-12-19/naruto-stage-musical-cast-unveiled-in-costume/.82422 http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2015-01-12/naruto-stage-musical-unveils-kakashi-and-more-in-costume-plus-new-tv-ad/.83187 Believe it. The musical will focus on the entirety of Part 1 and feature singing, dancing, drama, and acrobatics. Confirmed characters w/ actors and costume images have been released for Team Kakashi, Zabuza, Haku, Gaara, and Hirzuen Sarutobi, the Third Hokage. It is said that the musical will also include Ino, Shikamaru, Choji, Kiba, Shino, Hinata, Jiraiya, and Orochimaru. The play will run in Japan, starting in Tokyo and moving throughout different parts of Japan and then will be released in Macao, Malaysia, and Singapore. And yes, this is part of the Naruto New Era Project along with The Last and Boruto/Part 3. So yeah... woo? (I actually am a fan of musicals, so this does intrigue me to a certain extent.) Shulk 8,623 Posted January 18, 2015 I know I'm late on this, but I just watched the first two episodes of the new Chunin Exam filler. While I'm kind of excited, these two episodes bothered me to almost the same level as Xiaolin Chronicles (A comparison only Firaga would understand) There is NO CONSISTENCY WITH THESE. It takes place two years after the end of the first series, and they apparently haven't held a SINGLE Chunin Exam since the one that was interrupted by Orochimaru. So what, does EVERY SINGLE Leaf Genin jump to Chunin in this one exam? How the heck did Gaara climb the ranks to reach Kazekage without having an opportunity to prove his skills as a Chunin? Did he really just go from Genin to Kage level in the course of two years? Even Naruto fought hard to eventually become Hokage when he was older, he didn't get a free pass like Gaara apparently did according to this filler arc. How does Neji become a Jonin after half a year? Did he really manage to prove his skills that quickly? I know this is filler, but holy crap, there are so many inconsistencies here that it honestly made me pause the episode a few times to explain to my brother how horribly flawed the logic here is. I absolutely love Naruto. It's my favorite show, my favorite manga, and one of my favorite stories of all time. I love the entire series, even the ending which so many people seemed to have a problem with. But this filler arc... It honestly pissed me off. If they hadn't thrown it in at such a horrible time in the anime's plot, or hyped it up, I doubt I'd be this mad about it. It's the fact that Pierrot was advertising it for ages and building it up, only to show it's the most inconsistent part of the storyline that we've EVER GOTTEN. I guess I just never realized this would be an issue with it before hand, but the fact that everyone apparently makes the jump from Genin to their current ranks, and gets to the point they're at in Shippuden over the course of half a year is just ridiculous to me. I'll probably get a lot of crap for this, but this filler arc has been pissing me off. I know I don't need to watch it, but I was actually really excited about it, and I'm not happy about how it's turning out so far. I honestly hope that the action will make it worth the horrible plot. I was hoping this would be something that could still seem canon, like that Kakashi filler arc, but I'm really disappointed with how they're handling the plot with this arc. Go ahead, call me an idiot for not understanding something, or for expecting something better. I just wanted to speak my mind about this. 2 Reyn and Weedanort reacted to this

Shulk 8,623 Posted January 18, 2015 And they way they shoved Fuu into all of this... JUST WAI It had better have some sort of actual backstory for her, because she really does feel tossed in for no reason so far. The fact that they just randomly cut to Naruto's training is also bothering me. If he actually shows up despite the first episode of Shippuden confirming that he never saw the others until after finishing his training, I'll have probably lost hope in the arc. 2 Reyn and Weedanort reacted to this

I wanted to see the other characters prove their strength, but instead, we're just getting inconsistencies tossed everywhere, and random Naruto training inserted at really weird and random points. I get a bad feeling he'll end up finding the others at some point... That's exactly what I want from this arc. I hope they go into all of that soon, or I might just stop watching it.
