Setrex 1,031 Posted April 11, 2015 How the hell is that possible? Are phones that powerful now? What are they, portable mini-computers? You aren't installing the game to your device, it's streamed to the smartphone via the cloud. Square Enix recommend you use minimum 3mbps to get the best experience.. or something. Sora96 17,256 Posted April 14, 2015 I asked Square Enix Europe who did the PC ports for the FFXIII trilogy, this was their response. the FINAL FANTASY XIII PC port was developed by SQUARE ENIX. 1 WakelessDream reacted to this

hatok 6,413 Posted April 14, 2015 I know outsourcing ports is common, but is t really news to say "This port was developed by the people that developed it"?
Sora96 17,256 Posted April 15, 2015 I know outsourcing ports is common, but is t really news to say "This port was developed by the people that developed it"? I believe it's the first completely internal FF port, so yes.

Sora96 17,256 Posted April 16, 2015 what about when they ported FF13 to xbox 360 I wouldn't count that since it was planned throughout development.

Sora96 17,256 Posted July 30, 2015 The 7th Ark is an area in Final Fantasy XIII that was intended to be released as DLC. It would include new enemies, weapons and quests, but the team was forced to cut it due to quality concerns so late in the project and difficulties with extra content on PlayStation 3 & Xbox 360. In last years PC port, an Alpha build of this area was discovered. You can take a couple looks at it below. As you can see, it includes brand new cutscenes that were fully voiced in Japanese with subtitles fully translated into English as well as a superboss that would later be included as a story boss in Final Fantasy XIII-2 in a much less powerful state. It's unlikely to happen, but would you like to see this area finished for a future PlayStation 4 & Xbox One version? 1 WakelessDream reacted to this
catmaster0116 2,676 Posted July 30, 2015 Oh cool! I haven't played FFXIII - I've watched the playthrough on youtube though So this area wasn't accessible in the original FFXIII right? But now its gonna be released right?

Oh I see, makes sense Its pretty cool that its going to be released now Speaking of the super boss, it reminds me of the proto fal'cie Adam from FFXIII-2....is it? Cat, it's not going to be released now. It might one day if we're lucky, but it's very unlikely. Yeah, it is, XIII-2's is just it a lot less powerful. Ah okay, oops - sorry. I just reread your post - it says "intended to be released as DLC", my bad Hopefully it'll come out - it looks like it might have a small shard to contribute to the FFXIII story and trilogy

Kittenz 4,281 Posted November 5, 2015 (edited) This is really nice of her. I wondered why her voice suddenly switched a little as she was talking from aussie to american, then I learned she moved from melbourne to LA. Sora96 17,256 Posted November 7, 2015 (edited) Vanille's English voice actor, @GeorgiaVanC has been holding a livestream on Twitch for Final Fantasy XIII and at times has answered questions. Here's her answers to questions I myself and others asked. English voice recording for FFXIII took about six months. She has not met Motomu Toriyama but she did meet Masashi Hamauzu. She listened to all the Japanese dialogue to help her amazing performance. While revealed before, she discussed how she got the role. She got the role thanks to her agent and that the people in-charge of the voice acting wanted a distinctly different voice actor. She plans on playing Final Fantasy XIII-2 and Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII. Also, Ali Hillis (Lightning) has had a baby. Troy Baker's (Snow) wife is Ali Hillis' best friend.
