Why are Kingdom Hearts' games scattered on different platforms?

Hello everyone, I'm a new guy in the site and this is my first topic.

 

 

Why is KH divided to different platforms???

 

I am sure many of people out there(including me & my friends) don't like this situation, and are very sad for this. I recently bought a PS3 just to play HD 1.5 remix & the coming HD 2.5 remix (inshalla). I can play all the KH series on it, but... one problem.

 

What about KH3 & 3D?

 

I personnaly want to contact Square Enix to ask them about this, and try to convince them to make vresions of every Kingdom Hearts game in the PS3, but I live in Sudan so... I wish some of you guys can help me.

If you want to play the two games not included in the HD collections, then just get the consoles that they're for. You have to consider that porting them to PS3 would cost money.

My first KH game was CoM for GBA. If it was only on Playstation I wouldn't have gotten into the series.

 

They might do something about KH3D much later but KH3 should definitely be only for PS4/Xbox1.

I think this is to allow as many people to enjoy this masterpiece whatever if you can't play on some kh games , Everglow's channel is here so save you with his very good walkthrough ^^

Game development shouldn't stop evolving because gamers can't afford new hardware. I think it's completely natural for KH3 to come out for current-gen consoles (PS4/XBOX One). It would bother me if it didn't to be honest.

You can't expect a company to continue to invest time and money in a console that is headed towards the ending of its life cycle. You should be happy that the first games were remastered in HD for the PS3. 

My advice to you is to try and start saving money now if you can, or just wait for the PS4's price to drop. KH3 won't be out for at least another year anyway.

 

As for KH3D, I understand your sadness. I'm fortunate enough to be able to play on almost every platform, but the game is just too good to be an handheld title.

This has to be one of my Kingdom Hearts fandom pet peeves because I'm here because Dream Drop Distance was made for the 3DS and because they put Tron in it.  Not everyone can get up and buy a Playstation, but if the games come out on a console they do have, then they get to enjoy it like everyone else.

KH3D wouldn't work well on PS3 since it used the touchscreen, and KHIII is supposed to be the big next gen hit. They won't put them on PS3 to please a few fans.

I'm not sure what they're reasoning for this was, but overall it likely either comes down to them finding a console more suitable for an idea they have, or thinking that it will sell better on a different console. And I hate to break it to you, but no matter how many people you ask to contact square about putting 3d and 3 on ps3, they won't do it unless they decide it's the best thing to do

Oh come on don't be so negative a lot of us didn't reply as negative as you said, Flaming Lea, SkyBladeHero ,Jack ,Nigtshade Frost and more didn't reply negative , also i didn't. We lke to troll sometimes ok, but we're not awful

Most companies do this. Like with Destiny and Battlefield, but unlike KH, they weren't exclusive to that one console. If you want to play DDD, just get a 3DS or wait for a HD release, because Nomura said he doesn't like seeing it left out and not getting the HD treatment. For KHIII get a PS4 at or close to it's release. If not, then later. If you can't afford either console, put aside some money every now and then to save up for them. And of course, not worth getting the console if those are the only games you'll play. A last resort is to watch the cutscenes on this website (http://kh13.com/videos/3d/eng-cut/) if you aren't going to get the consoles. Don't worry, you aren't the only one who suffered from this. I never ended up getting CoM, BBS and despite having a DS, Re:Coded.

Thanks but, it's not just about munny, it's about having multiple consoles, my parents won't alow it, if they did I could buy'em easely, 'cause I was saving since I was in first grade to buy more KH & thought they were all on PS2

Looks like just a PS4 then. DDD is likely to get a HD release, but it is not confirmed. Unless they don't even allow two...
