Why Do You Guys Want a KH3D HD Remaster So Bad?

I'm actually pretty curious to know why you want an HD remaster of it. Sure we get to play the game on a bigger screen instead of a smaller one . Sure there could possibly be more added content on it. But I don't think we should worry about an HD Remaster of it especially since the 3DS is still selling like hotcakes and Nintendo's still making more versions and limited editions of it. So it's really not like the 3DS is no longer being manufactured like the PS2 and the older gaming systems are. And to those people who are gonna come out and say "Oh but I can't afford a 3DS it's too expensive" well there's always the 2DS since a lot of people don't really care for the 3D affect. But still, I;m curious to know why you want an HD remaster of KH3D.

It's not something I'd cry if we didn't have, but I think it would be cool still. It'd just be fun playing it on a TV, preferably with the Wii U.

Yeah I would love to see the game get ported to the Wii U since the game uses some touch screen controls.

Why? couple of reasons:

- Only game not Remastered as game/Cutscenes.

- 3DS - 240p, PS3 - 720p/1080p.

- Don't have to play on my crap 3ds.

- Better controls.

- Theoretically should not take long to develop.

- ^^^ Thus it would not affect KH3 development so Square's reasoning is invalid for why it isn't being made.

- Something To play during the long wait for KH3.

 

I'm not going to go mental if it isn't Remastered, Since i do own a 3DS and the game but i would rather have it as a console game. If there is a reason for it not being made other then 'it's only been 2/3 years' or 'I WANT KH3' then i'm willing to accept it.

I've never played DDD and have no desire to buy a whole new system just for that game. Plus, I actually really want it to be remastered so that it's not the only game to have fuzzy outlines in screenshots. I wanna see The Grid fully remastered, dammit.

People like to quote Nomura by saying he wanted all the games on one system, and that 3D is now the only game that isn't on the PS3. I personally don't think it's needed, since making THAT one HD only means KH3 will be delayed even further, so...

Well on the question about if its going to sell or that it already sells on the DS.

The Last of Us was remastered 1 year later for the PS4 while it was still selling like crazy for the PS3.

 

Anyway, I would like it because I would then own the entire Saga and would also get to play it aswell. I already know the story but it would be nice.

I'm not particularly craving it but with remastering all other games in the series, it's just pretty much what's expected to be next.  I would like to be able to play it in comfort on a big screen rather than leaning over a 3DS.  I'm patient though and don't mind if we get KH games before KH3s release, I would love a game centered around Kairi and her training before KH3.

I think it should just be cutscenes. It would be nice to play it on a big screen, but it's not possible. Why? Reality check:

 

1. It's a DS game. They can't make it playable without spending a year remaking it for ps3. Same reason why Days is just cutscenes. You can't take a DS game and make it magically work on PS3. It doesn't work that way. 3DS or DSI it's the same issue with that. You basically have to make it all over again, the places, the code...

 

2. Many of the game's mechanics are centered around the fact that it's on 3DS.

I always wondered this question myself. Do these people not understand how much stuff they'd have to rework to put it on anything that isn't a Wii U?

 

For starters this game was on a Nintendo handheld so there isn't any tools to make porting it easier like there was for the psp title KH BBS FM. Then theres stuff that would need reworking or be removed completely like reality shifts, Water barrels, Treasure goggles, Balloon minigame, Flick Rush and its local multiplayer, you name it theres plenty more. Special Portals, Secret Portals, Link portals, Bottom Screen maps, Bottom Screen Forecast and petting your Dream Eaters constantly on a TV would get tiresome honestly. Then you got them having to replace everything with higher quality models and textures and you see why porting KH 3D would just drain even further resources from KH3. But some people will just stay in denial thinking that it isn't a hassle sadly. Just like how these same people  think they have all the DS games on one console when it still doesn't change the fact that THEY'RE STILL CUTSCENES!

KH3D is epic. I'd love a remaster, mainly because it's an excuse to add a 4th playthrough to my belt.

 

Also, more people get to play it. It's an integral part of the KH storyline. Cutscenes would be fine, yeah, but the battle system and mechanics of KH3D are just too good to let go (unlike Re:Coded's and 358/2 days').

HD Remaster won't happen yet though because the game is still fairly new and like you said the 3DS is still going strong.

Ok I shall explain

 

- I would love to see the intro in 1080p in ALL HONESTY!!

- The gameplay was phenomenal, it wa such a nice change sense the Command Deck introduced in BBS

- I would like to play as Riku on a console that has fun gameplay instead of a crappy card system or 10 second experience

- This could be a good chance for them to release a game on Wii U sense they wouldn't have to change many controls sense it s a Nintendo System too. Or maybe PS4 sense it has the touchpad. But the preferable console would of course be PS3

- More abilities and maybe another Secret Boss. People were pretty disappointed by Julius I believe it was...

I want it because I never played KH3D and I don't want to buy a new system to play it but honestly, I think they do a remake of KH3D ('cause it wouldn't be a remaster if they put it on the PS3, they would have to remake it) after the release of KH3, because I don't want KH3 to be delayed and because I think they should put it on the next gen consoles and by next gen consoles I mean PS4, not Wii U. Wouldn't it be amazing to have all KH games on Sony consoles!

I think it's mostly having it on a bigger screen and having the whole series thus far on one console. The controls are hardly an issue. You can do everything with the buttons except swiping for reality shifts and dream eater games/petting. Though going from 3DS to PS3 is sure to be a hassle(and putting it on Wii U would defeat most of the point of remastering it)

 

I'm a little split on it; If it did happen I would want it to come out before KH3 even if KH3 gets pushed back because after seeing KH3's story I won't care about it as much(plus people who didn't play the 3DS version are less likely to buy KH3D remaster if they already played KH3). Although thinking about it KH3D was kind of bare; only the gameplay and the end part of the story was really good so they would really need to do much more than just polish it at which point it would be more like a Final Mix which is definitely too much to do before the game we have been waiting so long for(unless the KH3D Final Mix version changed the story and was game-of-the-year material).

 

In the end it's best they don't do it before KH3 unless they've been secretly working on it already or were doing a movie even shorter then the two DS games' movies.

I really only see a DDD remaster on the wii u because the mechanics seems like it will work better on there. If they where to put the game on the ps3 they would have to remake it, not remaster it.

I like DDD as is: I played it in bed when I couldn't sleep. It looks fine to me: better than DAYS or RE:coded ever did. Plus the zipline thing using the touchscreen would suck on the PS3, and I kinda like the playing with your Dreameaters mini game thing. 

I think DDD is great, and that's my unwavering opinion. A HD master is unneeded, and I wouldn't buy it if they made it.

Most people who seem to want this want it on PS3 or Wii U. Hate to break it to ya, wouldn't be on either platform. It would be on PS4, and would delay KH3 to 2018. For those still thinking PS3, Square Enix Japan don't do cross-gen and the PS3's about to get it's last exclusives over the coming months.

Because PS4 has all the hardware to port every mechanic over in full (touchpad,ps4 camera) and the fact that it would be awesome to play in 1080p60 2D or 720p60 in 3D compared to poor quality of 240p

 

The music is way to good to be relegated to its poor stereo 33kHz sample rate on 3DS and needs to be heard in its 48khz 5.1 channel lossless glory.

 

Hope you understand, wish people would stop saying KH3 will get delayed, it will not. Square can easily build a small team(one small game with literally nothing too big to rewrite) or they can outsource the remaster to companies like Bluepoint or Hexadrive (look them up). Besides IMO KH3 will get delayed eventually and won't even be out till 2017

 

And no PS3 version will not happen as Square needs to build install base for PS4 in Japan to get people ready for FFXv and KH3

Kh games should be played on a console much more fun, and with the Flowmotion.. Would be so badass on the ps3.

 

And not everyone has/wants a 3ds
