~Link Baxter~"Ah. Alright. The forest is good. Can we start now? I mean, do you have anything we start with?" Talking was easier than Link had given the credit. He doesn't like talking, but he'll make an exception for a mage like this Silver Soleanna character.

The ugly sound of the bagpipes carried on as Kirby heard Miles.

 

"Poyo!!", he shouted, in response to Miles.

 

After the bagpipes stopped, Kirby sighed and uncovered his ears.

 

"Uuuugh...", he groaned.

 

He turned around to hear Roxas ask him something. In response, Kirby put his hands in his pockets shyly and shook his head. He looked at the guard and the "pirate" arguing. He overheard Roxas and Ventus' conversation. Those guards arrest people for no reason? He then remembered what Namine had said. She said that 'magic' wasn't allowed here. But, why?

 

Why would that be? Magic seemed like a nice thing to have. Who, or what would enforce that? Kirby then noticed the shard was missing from his pocket. He looked at the ground for it, saw it, picked it up, and quickly put it back in his pocket. He acted as if none of it happened. He looked back and forth from the guard and the Scotsman, to his new friends.

 

Honestly, what a day this has been so far! It's not even past noon!

The guard basically yelled back at the Scotsman. "YOU SPIT ON ME!" He suddenly threw his hands in the air. "I want to arrest you so badly right now! And yes, it's very OBNOXIOUS!"

 

Silver nodded. "Sure!" He said with a smile. "I'll teach you a simple fire spell." He fished around in his satchel and took out a fragile red stone tablet with a flame insignia on it. "Here. This is a fire tome. If you crush it in your hands, you should be able to cast a fireball right away." He handed it over to Link.

 

Roxas grinned. "Hey, we should totally prank him. I love tormenting that guy." He looked over to Ventus. "Wanna mess with him?" He was really only nice to Ven when he wanted to torment someone else. He looked at the people around them, and then finally to Yu. "Well, after everything is okay over here." He was happy the stupid bagpipes stopped.

 

Corvo smiled. "Thank you, friend. It means a lot for you to share this moment with me." He looked over to Minato. "Is there any place you hD in mind?" He was thinking maybe the eatery at the inn he lived in, however he wanted to take Minato where he wanted to go. "We can go wherever you'd like."

The Scotsman stands straight, offended at this.

"Arrest me!? For what bloomin' reason, you furry-brained, half-witted, cranky, short-tempered, unsociable creten!?....And it's not obnoxious!....Ugh...everyone's a critic...."

He folds his arms, and puts his bagpipes away. He looks at the guard, and the others.

~Miles Thompson~"I guess whatever you guys do, I'm up for it!" Although he was still concerned for the boy they tried to help, this Guard seemed to be troublesome to nearly everyone. If he helped these guys mess with him, who knows what else they could get away with!

The guard flailed his arms around, outraged by this Scotsman. "AND YOU'RE A STUPID NINNY STINKING PIRATE WHO CAN'T PLAY THE BAGPIPES!" He didn't even care at the people stairing at him. "YOURE MORE ANNOYING THAN THAT STUPID PUNK WITH THE HIDEOUS HAIRCUT AND HIS PIPSQUEAK TWIN BROTHER!"

 

Roxas' eye twitched. Oh no be didn't. What made it worse is that the guard basically yelled it to the entire town. "Well, the peg legged guy is doing the tormenting for us... But for just saying what he said he deserves a good one. I'd sad slip a crab in his pants of something." He put his hand to his fist. "He's going to get a taste of the Aberazio twins. Right, Nerd?" He asked, looking to Ventus. This time, it was more of a friendly name-calling. No one makes fun of his brother and gets away with it. "Any ideas, guys?"

Scotsman then gets angry, baring his yellow teeth. Some of the teeth were missing.

"I TOLD YOU IM NOT A PIRATE!!!! AND IM THE BEST BAGPIPER IN TOWN!!!!!!"

He spits as he says this, and begins insulting the guard, with one long 2-minute insult that was unintelligible, doing so in one breath and shouting it to where others could hear.

This provided the perfect window for the others to pull a fast one on the guard.

~Miles Thompson~"Um... Hi. I'm Miles. I saw you in th-""I'm Cid, glad to see ya come to!" Cid interrupted. Maybe it was a good thing, Miles did like to prattle on sometimes. Part of his personality, they say."Uh... yeah. That's Cid. Anyways, we just wanted to see if you were okay, Mr. uh...What's your name?"

(Sorry for the late reply, I went to sleep after this.) 

 

 

 

 

 

Everyone was looking at Yu, waiting for a reply, he was still regaining his consciousness slightly, he sat up slowly. 

"Me?... I'm Yu. Yu Narukami. Nice to meet you people too..." Yu said to all the people crowding round him. He started shaking his head gently and rubbed it a moment when he heard loud bagpipes resonate in his ears, it hurt slightly because he had just regained consciousness. "Where are we going to go?!" Yu shouted at the crowd, he got up and jogged towards a near store, but it was shut. "What now?!" Yu exclaimed.

~Miles Thompson~"Hey guys, I think that's the same guard who was messing with my friend earlier today! Can I help?" Miles was eager to get to work on this guard. Which was weird, usually Miles tried his best to stay OUT of trouble, but the atmosphere felt different. He wanted to mess with this guard too. When he noticed that Yu said something awhile back, he responded."We're going to teach this guard a lesson!" Miles looked around, and noticed that there was one less than before... Cid wasn't around anymore. Too old to get worked up, probably.~Link Baxter~Link took the insignia in his hand, rolled it around with his finger, and crushed it. He wasn't sure what to do... so he just stuck out his hand, hoping something would happen. He felt something... but he wasn't sure what it was. Was it the heat? No... it was different. Whatever it was, it released the fireball, hitting a nearby tree, and dispersed. They were lucky it didn't cause a wildfire.

Yu had noticed the bagpipes stopped. Everyone was going towards the guard but Yu refused, he was too sore and had no motivation to do so. So he decided to head home as Naomi and his parents must have been worrying about him.

 

(Sorry for the short-ish post, doing an English essay right now so I can't spend much time on this.)

"Odd." Thane Krios commented in his raspy voice as he walked up to Corvo, Alvin, and Minato, seemingly out of now where. "I didn't peg you as a family type, Corvo. But then, life would be shallow if we were all what we seem."

The former Assassin stopped and gave both the mercenaries a nod, though the one to Alvin seemed a little curt.

"Mind if I tag along? I'm interested to see how this works."

Roxas grinned. He looked to his new found friends. "Don't worry guys." He said. He sat next to Yu, and smiled. "Hey, how about you hang out with us sometime? I'll be fun." As the guard kept arguing, he looked to Tails and shook his head. "Wait." He realize he saw a perfect opening. He took out from his pocket a slingshot. "We don't even have to stand up. Watch this." He snatched a rock from the ground, pulled back the sling, and shot it through the air and right into the guard's lower back. Bullseye.

 

The guard kept on arguing, when all of a sudden he let out a loud, girlish scream as a rock the size of a bullet hit him right above his backside. "AHH!" He leaned foward and put his hands on his lower back where the bullet had hit. "WHO EVER DID THAT WILL PAY!"

 

Silver jumped. He wasn't expecting that power from the newbie. "Wow, that was great!" He said with a smile. "It's kinda dangerous to practice fire magic in a forest..." He went fishing around in his bag. "Ahh, but I don't have any other spell tomes. I primarily study psychic magic, but I don't have any way to teacth you those without taking some time." He looked to the burnt mark in the tree. "Perfect for your first spell! You're a natural."

 

Corvo rubbed the back of his head. Thane... That former assassin might be the only person Corvo couldn't read. He at least had an idea of what Alvin had in his mind. Now Thane was a challenge. The man was very mysterious to him. Still, Corvo knew him from jobs they've done together in the past and he still considered Thane an ally. "I don't mind. You're both the closest I have to family." That's when he realized something; he didn't know if he could prevent Minato from being exposed to the work that they do. He'd have to explain it to Minato later. Hopefully Minato will be okay with it. Corvo bet if he really did go to that appointment he'd probably never been able to adopt from there anyway.

Yu heard Roxas talk to him from behind.

"Hey, how about you hang out with us sometime? I'll be fun." Asked Roxas. 

"Sure, I'll remember to look for you, but I gotta head home, my younger sister and parents will be worrying about me." Yu replied. He waved and started to head home, searching his bag to see if anything was lost in the incident, luckily nothing was lost. Yu had arrived home to the delight of Naomi.

Scotsman raises his large hand as the guard gets hit in the backside with a rock.

"Oh, now look! Ye got what you deserved for being a royal pain in the behind, you sniveling, short-tempered, disrespectful, unintelligent excuse for a guard! I mean, its common courtesy to be kind once in a while!..."

 

The Scotsman looks around at the group that had amassed. He realizes what's going on.

 

"But NOOOOOO, you have to go around with a bug in yer rump and taking it out on the rest of us!!"

Kirby watched as Roxas and 'Yu', interacted. He unconsciously stood next to Miles. Then he saw Roxas pull out a slingshot and pick up a rock. He saw him snap it back. Kirby covered his  mouth in worry, and in anticipation. After Roxas shot the rock and the guard let out a rather shrill scream, Kirby gasped. Not long after, he started to giggle somewhat loudly. He couldn't really help it. A tall strong guard making a sound as unexpectedly as that. It was just amusing! He tried very hard to keep his voice down.

"YES!" whispered Ventus, as the guard got hit. His scream, it made Ventus laugh. Before he knew, Yu was already gone. "Aw..." he said. 

"Well, what would you guys like to do now?"  Ventus would buy mom's groceries later.

(ZOLA AQUA7KH TO THE RESCUE!)The guard even had some tears going down his eyes. Oh the pain. "S-SHUT UP!" Feeling like a complete dufus, he just ran away. He searched for the thieves he saw before. He really felt like arresting someone tonight and he just wanted to go bother someone else for a change. "Stupid freakin' pirate. Who the 'ell does he thing he is.... damn peg legged train wreck." he rubbed his behind. "Oh my God that hurt. I'm going to drop kid that punk someday."Silver shook his head. "Don't worry." he assured. "Look, it's your first spell. That happens sometimes when you're first learning. You're starting to use your magical energy! We call that magical energy Mana." he took out a small spell book. "This just has some of the psychic spells I'm learning. I guess maybe right now we can look for some relics or something. One spell is a lot for one day... plus, we don't want the guards finding out." Silver rubbed the back of his head. "Would you want to see the magical items I found?"Roxas felt rather glorious for the moment. Oh sweet sweet victory. That wasn't even the beginning of the torment for the stupid guard. The guard was currently number one on Roxas' crap list. After the guard left, Roxas shrugged. "Well, we could always just leave and meet up again soon. Crap, Ven we still have to get those groceries. Great, no library today." he said with a sign. "Well, the look on that doofus' face was worth it."

Scotsman watches the guard run off, standing there in confused silence.

"...Was it something I said?...."

........

He then remembers the whole reason he was trying to talk to the guard in the first place.

"OI!! CAN'T YOU AT LEAST ANSWER MY QUESTION!!!!....Darn....he's gone....well..."

He looks at the others, hoping one of the kids could answer his question.

"Doesn't anyone know where we are or what this place is?..."

~Miles Thompson~The man looked as confused as HE was. What just happened anyways? It all felt like such a rush."Uh... Hello there. I'm Miles, and uhh... You're in Asnia. This here is Farron, just one of the few towns here.Sir, who are you?" Miles asked, rubbing his head in confusion. So many new people in one day, why today, of all days? Farron used to be such a quiet place.((Sorry, I thought the town needed a name))~Link Baxter~Link nodded, wanting to see all that this Mage had to offer. This was so exciting! At the same time, however, Link felt bad. This Mage, what was he doing before he was captured?"Uh... Thank you for helping me, but I was wondering... How did you end up here? I mean, what were you doing before you got caught?" Link didn't look the mage in the eye, he still felt lower than Silver.

The Scotsman looks at Miles, with a bit of a satisfied smile as somebody finally answered his question.

"Oi, finally someone with some courtesy and sense around here...So, you say this is Asnia, Mr. Miles?...In a town called Farron?...Never heard of either of those places...Sorry for not introducing myself. I...er...don't remember my name or where I came from....all I know is that I'm a Scotsman and i am the strongest, best bagpiper in my clan....whoever or wherever they are....it's like me memory itself just went POOF!...."

He looks dismayed, and leans against a hay cart behind him, letting weight off his wooden peg leg.

"...But by the name of William Wallace I am NOT a pirate...i don't know why these bloomin' soccerheads around here like to think that...rude little sods they all are.....an' they have NO taste in music, either!...Especially that odd-job guard that was harassing people..."

After Kirby's seemingly never-ending giggling, he finally stopped. He rubbed his eyes to wipe away the tears of laughter, then he overheard Ventus. He turned around to see Yu running out of town. Kirby reached out a hand to him with an upset face. After realizing it was too late to catch up, Kirby looked down and sighed. He rose his head up and scratched it. He then got a couple of ideas!

 

He wanted them all to meet Namine. Bringing others together always made him feel good. Heck, he might even know more about the others he just met! After that, he could possibly help them with their tasks, because he felt he wasted their time with his flashing "star shard" as he now calls it. That is, unless they are fine by themselves.

 

Maybe he'll find out why magic is banned in this part of the land. But first, he faced the Scotsman and waved at him with a nervous smile as he approached, later putting his hands in his pockets again, squeezing the shard in safety. He felt a warmth from it as its light faintly glowed in his pocket. Thankfully, it wasn't that noticeable at all. Especially when comparing it to last time.
