~The Role-playing Game~ (RP)

Recommended Posts

~Link/Estheim~   He didn't know all he could do to help Silver. For now, he could just be thankful. Dawn released her hold on him as Silver had ordered. Link wasn't sure that he should leave quite yet, though. He drew his sword and backed up to where Silver was. "Looks like we've found our Mage."~Miles "Tails" Thompson~ Tails nodded at Smoke and Nobody, before heading out. He didn't see any reason why the town would empty. In the distance he saw a group of four people, but he'd thought to leave them alone. They're probably just as confused as he. One of the people looked like Link, but he didn't have a cap, so it couldn't be possible. Tails continued to look around, for anything else suspicious. He looked towards the sky; It was past noon, yet there have been hardly any guard interventions, besides what had happened at the Twin's house earlier. Wait, wasn't Tails still in a guard outfit? He could take a good look around without getting noticed... Or maybe he should head back. Yeah, that's a sound idea. Miles twisted his body around, and dashed back towards the house to meet up with Smoke and the others. "I guess bringing this wasn't really needed." He tossed the dagger back to Smoke.

Delsin noticed tails was still wearing his guard outfit. "oh yeah." he took the knife back. Then, the twins came back with swords. one for each of them. "okay, you guys ready?" he took a sword from roxas and slashed it at the air. he wasn't too familiar with swords, but he knew enough to use one. "nobody, didnt you say you wanted to try dual wielding? you hold on to tails sword, he wont need it just yet." he turned toward the city. "tails is in there checking it out as a guard. we'll go in and keep watch as backup if he needs it, but lets not blow his cover just yet. im sure we all know the backstreets in the town, seeing as you guys live here and im a vandal," he though about that for a second. he hadnt even thought about vandalizing anything since this business had started, and he liked it that way. could he really call himself a vandal? he would think about it later. "ready guys? lets move!" with that, the group dashed off into the shadows, looking for the last member of their group.

Silver growled. He couldn't stand bullying. Worse. He couldn't stand it even more when people bullied his friends. "Nobody hurts my friends." He hissed, holding his dagger protectively infront of him. He got close next to Link. "Hey, be careful. This guy is the real deal. Becareful." He muttered. Strong dark magic. This was dangerous.

Vanitas began to crack up. "What do you expect to do with that tiny thing?!" He asked, already casting another dark fire spell. Who was this idiot? He was a light mage; a weak one at that. Vanitas looked over to Dawn and growled. "Hey, why did you let him go?!"

Meanwhile Roxas nodded. "Alright. I won't use it though. I need to learn how to fight with one sword first." He smiled at Tails. "Hey! If you want your sword just let me know!"

~Dawn/Baxter~ Dawn looked back in fear of what Vanitas would do to her after this experience."Hey, he's a mage! If there's one thing I've learned from you, you don't mess with them." She looked back and Silver and Link cold heartedly. "You guys should learn the same!" Dawn closed her eyes and imagined the cold. The cold that only she and Vanitas had known was inside her. She opened her eyes and laughed, as she encased the two in thick ice, leaving just a bit of their bodies out to communicate. "I'll take that!" She said as she pulled Links sword out of his hands. Link tried his best to keep his hold, but the cold had made him week, and his muscles were frozen. The only thing keeping the sword attached to his was the cold, basically freezing them together. Dawn broke it off, and with it, a small patch of skin. "Thanks." She added unto the insult.~Miles Thompson~ "I've never used a real sword. Link has, and I've seen him train, but I don't think seeing and using are quite the same. Maybe we should train together a little bit sometime?" Tails had only used a blade once, but it was a mere knife, that he had only used earlier that day.

Corvo rolled his eyes. As much as he liked being around his allies, he hated when Alvin barged in. Why couldn't be just knock? One of these days he's going to accidentally stab him by accident out of reflex. "What a pleasant /surprise/." Corvo said, walking up to Alvin with his arms crossed. Thank god the dog didn't wake up. "You know, I would very much appreciate it if you would knock on the door and wait for me to answer." He didn't really mind if Alvin was late. He was just pissed he didn't knock. He had Minato now, so he didn't need anyone just barging in.

Minato Arisato

Minato was gently stroking the dog, when Alvin burst in. "I would prefer you to knock as well, if only because I don't like surprises," he said, agreeing with Corvo. He realized holding a dog while conversing with someone wasn't the best idea. He made his way to his room, and gently deposited Koromaru onto his bed. He walked back into the main room, and waited for what Alvin had to say.

Shi-Long Lang

(Theme again:

)

Shi-Long Lang took a deep breath, as he smelled the aroma of coffee. He loved coffee. He had a sip, not caring how hot it was. A few moments, one of his men approached him, holding a strange crystal. He passed it over to Shi, who stared at it intently for  few moments. Inside, swirled a mysterious red mist, the so-called fingerprints of the spell. And, curiously enough, he recognized it. "Oh, it's you. I had hoped it... wasn't. But I see I was wrong," he absentmindedly said out loud. He strode back out of the house, and into the streets. He knew exactly who he was looking for.

Kirby and his friends were almost done with their shopping, he turned around to see other folks were leaving the from the direction of where town was. They moved in bunches as well! He was puzzled. Then, he saw a medium-bright red glow from his pocket, brighter than before. It was his star shard. What is going on? He scooted close to Namine and gently shook her arm. After that, he pointed at the panicked crowd in an uneasy manner.

"Poyo!", he shouted, pointing towards the crowd. He then looked at her with worried eyes.

Something isn't right. He felt it in his gut.

Vanitas crossed his arms with a grin. He was very much satisfied with this new revelation. He walked up to the mage, and took out the dagger that was in his hand. He inspected it. "Hm... Enchanted. This enchantment is effective against creatures summoned by necromancy. Well aren't you glad that I'm not a necromancer?" He asked. He raised the dagger, and went to drive Silver's own dagger into his eye. That was, until Vanitas felt a force against his hand. Silver closed his eyes tight, using some telekinetic abilities to stop Vanitas' wrist from bringing down the blade. Vanitas raised an eyebrow in amusement. "Ah... You specialize in telekinetic magic... A psychic white mage. Gypsies are typically skilled in this type of magic. Its your lucky day, gypsy. I'm going to let you and your friend live." He grinned and looked to Dawn. "I don't believe I ever told you what telekinetics are weak to..." His grin slowly morphed into a twisted smile. "... The dark."

Silver felt his stomach twist. Firstly, he was pissed off about being called a gypsy- because he wasn't one. He was just a farm boy. Secondly, dark magic was the most effective type of magic to use against telekinetics/psychics: especially if the user knew the worst fears of the mage. Vanitas slowly walked up to Silver, and flicked his forehead. Silver looked down at his body; all he saw was bugs eating away at his flesh. It wasn't real for only he saw it. Silver struggled in his ice captivity. His heart almost stopped from fear. "U-UH!!!"

Vanitas laughed. He turned around, and walked away. "Come on, Dawn. Let's go." 'This is going to be fun.'

Meanwhile Corvo sighed. Wait. The food was burning- bloody hell. He ran into the kitchen and took out the cooked meat from the cooking pot. Thank the gods it wasn't burned to hell. He slowly began to prepare the meat, setting a pot of milk over the fire to heat up for the dog.

Roxas nodded. The idea of sparring was great. It was nice to have another person to spar with. "Sure. You up for it too Ven?" Roxas asked. Maybe he and Ven could double team on Tails.

"Nah. I'm fine with just watching." said Ventus. "I actually want to finish reading the book."

"Kirby, what's... wrong." said Namine, as she looked to where Kirby was pointing. Something was happening. But it stopped. And two people walked away.

Namine had a bad feeling about those two. "Hmm....well, whatever it was, it's over already. I think?"

Kirby saw that most of the commotion had stopped.

"Poyo?...", he muttered, scratching his head. He also saw two suspicious folks go by.

He shrugged, and thought it was just his overactive imagination again. He lifted the basket from his head and dug through it, being careful not to bruise any tomatoes that were in it. He saw that he had everything he needed from the market for Namine and his friends.

Kirby took out three items that were on top of the basket, and handed them to his friends.

They were 3 vanilla cupcakes. It seemed Skeleton was in a hurry, so he gave them the cupcakes now. He smiled sweetly at them. It looked like it was nearly twilight. He had to make that fruit basket for Yu and Naomi soon before it got any darker. He then wondered where he would sleep tonight. He looked at Namine.

"Poyo?", he asked her shyly. He motioned if he could stay with her for tonight, since he really didn't have anywhere else to go.

Alvin scratched his hair and tapped the floor, almost in shame. "Ah, sorry. My bad." He shook off the bad mood and smiled brightly once again. "But dear Minato! You don't like surprises! Then I suppose Uncle Alvin will just have to return the lovely little house- warming gift he got for you!" Alvin said, once again trying to play off any premise of being rude. From the inside of his jacket he pulled out a small box. He peeked inside, then closed the box again and smiled at Minato as Corvo went farther inside. "Such a shame as well, it was such a delightful thing. And I spent so much time searching for the perfect one too!" Alvin said dramatically.

~Dawn/Baxter~ Dawn was glad that Vanitas had gotten such pleasure out of what she had done. As Vanitas fooled around with Silver, Dawn never let her icy stare wander from Link. Vanitas spoke, and she almost had missed what he had said. "Wait, just leave them here in the ice? Someone's going to ask questions."

"Yeah, and we'll have Answers! So if you want to do this job, you better do it right, and finish it!" Link yelled courageously at the pair.~Miles Thompson~ "Do you want to do this now, or later? I mean, the guards aren't in town, so they must be at base. We should wait until the guards spread out. 'Till then, I'm open to sparing!" Tails wasn't sure if he was energized enough to go at the guards anyways.

"I suppose there are a few surprises I can deal with," Minato said in response to Alvin. "Since you spent so much time looking for it, there's no point wasting it, what ever it is," added Minato. "So, what is it?" he asked, as he was curious. (Sorry for a short post... I'm not TOO sure where to go with Shi-Long Lang. But... I have ideas!)

(Alright Nort! What are the ideas? And you don't have to say if you don't want to. xD)

Vanitas rolled his eyes at Link. "Hey, listen." Vanitas said all while grinning underneath his hood. "Stop trying to sound like a hero or brave. You're not in a book of myth or lore." He looked over to Dawn and crossed his arms. She was right he had to admit. "Fine. Just free them." He glanced back over to Silver and Link. "And answers? You can't give any answers. You cannot involve the guards in this and you know that. If you do, you both will be hanged. Did you forget that light Magic is banned too?" Silver couldn't help but cry out. He tried his best to realize that the illusion wasn't real, but it looked too real- it felt too real. He struggled in his captivity, desperate to escape.

"Oh, and don't even dare follow us, Baxter. I believe you have a friend to attend to..." He snickered. At least no one was around.

Roxas nodded. "Sure! We can spar right now." He suddenly felt his stomach rumble as well. "...and eat later. I'm starving." On the left side of his jaw, a deep dark bruise formed where the guard had struck him. He was obviously unaware of it. In the back of his mind he worried about his father, but the only thing he could do right now was stay strong and train. "We can spar while the nerd reads his book."

Corvo hummed in thought. Even he was curious as to what the present was. Still, he was happy that Alvin thought of this boy as his own too. "Even I am curious as to what it is..." He crossed his arms. Better not be a weapon or something... Then again, Minato was strong enough to handle one. 'I need to pick up the bread still...'

"Oh! Thank you, Kirby." said Namine, as she took the vanilla cupcake. It was getting late.

Namine chuckled. "Of course, you can stay with me for tonight. That's what you trying to say, right?" she said, with a smile.

"I'll just clean my room a bit. Since I have those.... pictures on my wall..." she said to herself.

Ventus rolled his eyes. "There you go again with the "nerd" thing. Oh well." he said.

After Namine answered Kirby's question, his eyes lit up and he shined a great big smile. He also nodded his head at her question. He scooted closer to her. He felt unnaturally happy. Then, he looked up at the sky. It looked to be past twilight. She was right. It is getting pretty late. He looked up at Namine as he overheard her say something. He didn't quite catch it though.

"Poyo?", he asked her with a neutral face, raising an eyebrow.

~Dawn Estheim~ Dawn melted the ice away and chuckled. She looked towards Vanitas, and nodded. They walked away safely, and quietly.~Link Baxter~ Link fell to the ground after Dawn had melted the Ice away. "Damn it all." He pounded the dirt with his fist. He looked over to Silver, his partner in near crime. "Hey... you okay there?"~Miles Thompson~ "Alright, don't get to rough, okay? It's my first time, and I dunno how much I can handle." Miles chuckled. That came out wrong, he thought... but he was planning to keep it to himself. "Wanna go ahead and gimme that sword you were talking about?"

(LOLLLLLLLL SHARDDDDDDDDDDDDDD)

Vanitas looked down at his hands. He hasn't made a real curse in a while. Minor ones, yes. But the truly gruesome... The truly dangerous ones no. A simple curse carm will do. Wait- no. A hex. What a perfect idea. He never had any reasons to use one. Now he did. He could use one as a warning. Now the question is... On whom?

"Dawn." Vanitas said as he fished in his pockets. Nothing. "Do you have any items or charms I can attach a hex to?" He kept thinking. He wanted to do one on Link, but he already messed with him. Same with Silver. "I don't know who to put the hex on... Maybe one of those twins." For some reason he hated Ventus' guts with a passion. Usually he just thought everyone was so pitiful and weak it was humorous. But Ventus... No. He hated Ventus' entire being. He only knew the weakling for a few days. "Maybe I should tag that light mage with it. See if he survives." He let out a barking laugh at the thought of the ablino. "Did you hear his cries?! Ha! I made him think bugs were eating away at himself. Psychic mages. So weak once you cast a spell on their mind."

Meanwhile the said light mage was freaking out. He fell to the ground and instantly started to wipe his arms and body, almost as if he was trying to get something off of him that wasn't there. In his mind there was. All he saw was insects all over him. Maggots. Worms and leeches. Once he heard Link's voice, however, he slowly remembered that it wasn't real. It was just an illusion. "U-uh...huh..." He was on his hands and knees. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath, trying to relax. 'I'm safe... Im safe... Link is here." He opened them. The bugs were gone. He looked over to his partner and gave a short nod. He was still a little shaky. "I'm fine... I just saw some things that weren't really there."

Roxas stuck out his tongue. "Neeeeeerrrrrrdddddd!" He snickered and went over to meet Tails to spar. After hearing Tails speak, he snorted. That was the best thing ever. He handed a different sword, a spare wooden one from the forge to Tails. "Don't worry." He said. "I'll go real soft... Since this is your first time and all- pffttt..." He couldn't help but snicker some more. He took the wooden sword he always used. Wouldn't want to accidentally cut off a hand now.

~Dawn Estheim~ Dawn searched her pockets to see if she had anything that would be worth enchanting. She came to find that she had nothing. "No... but I can make one. Maybe one that the kid would actually fall for." Dawn concentrated on sharpness, on cold. Sharp cold, enough to cut... cut through what? Flesh, wood? No... nearly anything. She held out her hand and flipped her hair with the other. In a moments breath, A flawless sword of Ice had formed in her hands. She flaunted it around in both hands, before handing it over to Vanitas. "Good enough?"~Link Baxter~ "What did you see?" Link picked himself off the ground, and offered Silver his hand.~Miles Thompson~ Oh god, what have I started? he thought. Miles threw the sword around in both hands, before deciding to go at this one handed. He looked down and smiled. Quickly back up, and chuckled.   "Lets do this!" Miles began running towards the Blonde boy, his sword stretching out to the right side.

"Yeah. Yeah. Call me nerd. Whatever." said Ventus. As soon as Tails made the first move, he stopped reading.

Ventus smiled. "This might be interesting." he said. He closed his book, and decided to watch Roxas and Tails spar.

"Oh. Uh, nothing. It's nothing." said Namine. She looked to the right. "My house is this way. Not too far from here."

"Let's go." she said, smiling to Kirby.

Vanitas took the sword and inspected it. Dawn was strong. Her skill was definitely something he could use. That's why he picked her in the first place. He shook his head however. "How about you hold onto it?" He said, giving it to her. "I want something small. A small charm that I can hide like witches do. You could use that sword. It's better than a pitty dagger. Let's go into the market and see what we can get."

Silver took Link's hand with gratitude and stood up. He almost cringed at Link's words. He didn't want to ever remember that just happened. "I saw... There were these bugs all over me. Maggots, beetles, leeches, everything. They were eating away my flesh. It looked so real. It felt real too." He rubbed his arms, trying to will the phantom pain away. "You don't ever want to be put in an illusion like that."

Roxas grinned and dodged Tails' first attack. "You gotta be faster than that!" He said, swinging his arm around from the side of Tails to give him a good whack on the back. It was a trick he loved to do on Ventus, except instead of the back he always gave Ventus a whack on the head. Luckily the wood that was used for the swords were soft enough to just cause maybe a small bruise.

((I love that all of my characters are interacting with most of yours))~Dawn Estheim~ Dawn listened to Vanitas and hid her sword. She followed him into town, and down the market street. It had started to fill back up again, and the shops were plentiful. "This would be quicker if we split up."~Link Baxter~ Link was concerned for his friend. The Dark Mage said greatest fear... Silver's greatest fear was bugs? Link had never really thought of his greatest fear... Until now. He quickly tried to shake away the thoughts. "At least it's over now. And I don't think I'm going to find Miles here. Want me to stay with you a little while longer?"

~Miles Thompson~ The hit had landed rougher than Tails had anticipated. He was thrown forward, and landed on one hand and one knee. Tails laughed, and turned back around. One thing he had always been good at was jumping. Maybe he should use that in his strategies. Miles swung three times in Roxas' direction, but missed all three. This gave him a short moment to jump. He sprang, almost out of sight. He quietly landed behind Roxas, and finally, he swung once again.

Kirby stared at Namine for a bit at her response, but then shrugged. He was still a bit curious, though. He wrapped his arms around the large basket as he followed Namine back to the flower shop. He walked rather slowly as he let out a long yawn.

He needed to make that smaller basket for Yu and Naomi before it got any darker. And before he got too sleepy. Yet, at the same time, he wanted to spend as much time with Namine as possible. He stopped in his tracks and waved goodbye to the Scotsman and Skeleton. After doing so, he ran back to Namine. He wrapped the basket around one arm and used his free hand to unconsciously hold Namine's as they walked to the shop. He smiled.
