~Link Baxter~ "My Sword? I guess like you did with the one who was just in here... " Link figured an enchanted sword would stick out quick easily, especially since he bore it on his back, even in town. Link hoped he wouldn't get noticed. Although he was already in plenty of trouble for saving a mage.~Dawn Estheim~ Dawn say the desperateness that Vanitas had kept inside.

"Don't worry," Dawn said, "he won't be a problem for much longer."~Miles Thompson~ Getting impatient with the goings on, Miles ran inside too, hoping he could somehow help with the situation. A stranger announced that he would rather get punished than this family. How Brave! Miles thought.

Silver kept reading through some pages. "I really wish magic wasn't banned here. This all would be so much easier." He sighed. He thought for a moment, and took out a small star like charm (way finder). "I found this thing at a market. It's just a toy that I saw a kid play with" he enchanted it, the charm glowing slightly. He handed it to Link. "Here. It should protect you from dark spells like the ones that blind or poison you. Most dark mages use those to kill without being notices. They also protect from curses too."

 

"He better not." He turned around and started to leave. "I should try to curse him... Are you still going to have a meeting with him tonight?"

 

Meanwhile all of the guards, except for one didn't listen to the man. "Shut up fool! Don't try to protect this scum!" He grabbed the father and tied his hands behind his back. He pushed the mother away. "Arrest her too! She needs to be brought in for questioning. It's too large or a risk." The second grabbed the mother.

Roxas yelled out. "We need our mother! Let her go!"

The first guard ignored what he said. Suddenly Roxas lunged forward to strike, but the guard suddenly kicked Roxas back and punched him straight in the jaw which sent the boy to the ground. "M...-Mg...gh..." He spat some blood out.

"I should arrest you for assaulting a guard!" The first yelled.

The third stood there, looking rather guilty. He looked to Delsin. "We take upmost care in this law... I'm sorry."

Delsin was devastated. he couldn't believe he failed. now there were two more boys who lost their parents, just like he had all those years ago. he turned away from the guard. he walked over to the boys, and lifted up roxas, supporting the young boy who was weak from the guards strike. he said to ventus. "should i take him up to his room, or would you boys like to come stay at the inn with me? ill do something about this, i swear, but until then, ill care for you two boys. if you like you can stay here. if not, you can come with me. up to you."

Meanwhile the note Minato had read;"Hey Corvo~!I heard you finally adopted someone and I'm so happy for you! Here's a puppy for your new addition to your family. She's a pure bred and her mother is great at herding the sheeps. Be sure to take good care of her!-Margie"Corvo walked up to Minato and wiped his hand on his face. Great. "A dog." He just adopted Minato. He didn't need a baby to raise. That's basically what puppies are. Babies. At least it was a Chivian Shepherd (basically German Shepherd). "Margaret is a maid who works at the inn I used to stay at."

"Ah, so that's who Margie is. Weird that an inn would employ a maid... but I'm not complaining. I assume your job doesn't pay you enough to have two rooms at a time? Or have you just decided to settle down? Either way... can we keep the dog? I know the perfect name for it, if we do," Minato said, when Corvo had explained.

~Miles Thompson~ Miles felt horrible for what just happened. Roxas and Ventus had their parents taken, and even though this stranger tried to help, nothing went well."I'm sorry, guys."  If he had just gotten here a little earlier, maybe he could've done something about it. "You should take his offer and go with him. I don't want you two being alone here. I'll walk to the Inn with you."

Del recognized this guy from this morning. He was the angry one. He seemed nice enough now. "Thanks stranger. Whats your name?" he said it was miles. "Mines Delsin. Could you help me get roxas?"

~Miles Thompson~ "Yeah, no problem." Together, the two brought Roxas up to his room, and safely into his bed. Miles left briefly to go find something to help patch Roxas up. He didn't find too much, just some wine and cheese. Not too much of a use for them. Miles returned to the room. "I couldn't find anything downstairs."

"thats okay. ill go to the market and get some herbs for him to chew on. that'll patch up his insides. theres no doubt that asshole did some damage when he hit him." just thinking about it made Del's blood boil. "would you mind keeping an eye on him while i go?"

Roxas was dazed. He was barely concious. "M...om-... Agh.... L-et g.....o...." He couldn't even make a decision at that point. He was too out of it to answer.

The first guard scoffed at the twins. "Don't fret; you both look like you old enough to take care of yourselves."

"Shut up, asshole. The third muttered. It was actually the same guard who got shot by Roxas' slingshot. "I'm tired of your mouth." He went silent after a few seconds. 'The twins are annoying, but they don't deserve this.' He sighed and looked to Miles and the others. "You all should leave."

The father looked down while he sat on the floor. "Protect my boys..." He muttered. The guards barely heard his words. Once they left to Roxas room, Roxas fought to remain awake. "I need...." He spat out some more blood. "Save.... M-o....m..."

 

Meanwhile Corvo took a moment to think. "I used to sleep at an inn because of work. So you're correct. I settled down just for you actually." He chuckled and reached out to scratch the pup's ears. "I don't see why we can't keep her. What name do you have in mind?"

~Miles Thompson~ "Yeah. Good luck, Del." Herbs. That's exactly what was needed. There wasn't too much else that they could do to help anyways. Besides watch and care, they were sitting ducks. Neither have given an answer on Del's offer, and both seemed rather silent in general. Miles sat down on the desolate chair in the corner. Wait 'till Link here's about this, Miles thought to himself.This was his chance to show Link he could take care of both himself, and others. Maybe Link will finally look upon him with a little more respect.

"Thanks man. Ill be back as soon as i can." as he left, he considered asking ventus about coming with him. he had so many things he wanted to talk to him about. things ventus needed to know. he didnt. the kid was in no condition to do anything. he walked out and down the street, furious. he was walking towards the market. the young girl didnt even cross his mind. all he was thinking about now was the boys. they were in his care now, and he was gonna give these boys a parent, one way or the other. he refused to let these boys grow up like he did. he bought the herbs and walked back. in the boys room, Miles was sitting in the corner, lost in thought. "I got the herbs for him." he walked over to the twin, whose name he finally discovered was roxas. "here roxas. eat these. itll fix the bleeding that guard caused."

~Miles Thompson~ "Del, he asked us to save his Mom. I think we should head out to do just that. Ventus can watch Roxas while we're gone. What do you think?" Miles wanted to help Roxas personally, but he figured getting his mom back would probably help a lot in itself.~Link Baxter~ Once Silver had done all he could, Link bowed his head, and left for town once more. He was grateful for all that Silver had done for him, but now it was time to help the town. That stranger that intruded- the black mage he warned Link and Silver about- Link was worried. He should investigate. The first thing he did after leaving Silver was head to a nearby shop. There seemed to be quite the gathering inside. However the door was locked. Link knocked three times, hoping someone inside would open it.

~Miles Thompson~ "I don't know about any jails. But I'm sure if we hurry, we can catch up to the guards and follow them!" Just the idea was thrilling! A sweet and stealthy rescue.

Delsin smiles. proactivity. action. the way he liked it. "Well then, my friend, what are we still doing here? Lead the way!"

"I like the name Koromaru. I don't know why I like it, but it seems like it fits," Minato said, sounding happy that the dog was being kept. "I'm curious, what was, or maybe is is the better word here, your line of work?" he asked Corvo. (Sorry for such a short post, but I can't really do much else.)

Miles ran off without saying goodbye, there looked like a lot of commotion that was going on. Naomi was confused. "Can we go home Yu?" Naomi asked quietly.

"Of course we can." Yu replied, Naomi took his hand softly and they walked away from the market and started to head home.

Vanitas was sitting in a tree nearby the twins' house. He watched what was happening inside from afar, using a spell of sight to see inside the window without risking his own compromization. He rolled his eyes, and decided to curse some more objects idly. From watching the chaos unfold in the house of the Aberazos, Vanitas grinned. "Just look at them run around frantically. Like ants. It's pathetic."

 

Meanwhile Corvo was happy that Minato connected with the dog. "Koromaru... It's different but I think it fits too. I was thinking Emily, but Koromaru sounds much better." He went silent for a moment after Minato's next question. He signed softly. It wasn't really the best moment to explain. "I'm not going to lie to you. The line of work I'm in is very dangerous. I'm a mercenary as well as Thane and Alvin. If you don't want to stay because of that, that's fine. I have many enemies so I do not wish for you or myself to get hurt. I wouldn't want to leave you alone in this world like you were before because of this work."

~Miles Thompson~ Miles hurriedly dashed out into the road, looking left and right for the guards. While he couldn't find any, he did see recently made dust prints of boots. The only people around here who could afford quality boots were the Guards themselves. "This way!" He shouted to Del. "The trail leads down the Woods Road!"

 

~Dawn Estheim~ "Pathetic?" Dawn looked upon the house with interest. "This defines a whole new level of Pathetic. Not just the twins and the others, but the Guards. Did you see how that one hesitated?"

Del ran out after miles. He was surprisingly fast. He shouted to del and dashed off down the woods road. Delsin followed. he had never done anything like this before, and it was exciting. he was gonna save someone wrongfully convicted, and get the boys their mother back. one step closer to having their parents again. He realized they were following the boot tracks now. he looked up to see where miles was going, and smiled. he had a friend. he never had one before. not because he was bad or anything, but because he never stayed in one place long enough to make any. the life of a drifter was a lonely one. This whole situation with the mage was terrible, but he was making friends. "When this is all over, i might stay in town" he  thought. "I could hunt the surrounding areas, and hang out with miles and the twins." He was excited, but he had to snap out of it. this was serious. he and miles were currently on a rescue mission. He noticed miles slowing down. "whats wrong?" then he saw. the tracks had stopped."Dont worry. i do this everyday." He knelt down to the ground, and looked at the direction of the last print. west. he faced west, and could see some bent saplings in that direction, leading through the woods. "This way!" he said, and dashed off, with miles in tow.

~Miles Thompson~ Miles never had so much excitement in his life! Sure, someone was taken and they shouldn't treat it lightly, but when was he ever going to be able to enjoy himself like this again? Miles slowed to a stop. The tracks had ended, no trace was left. "Don't worry. I do this everyday." Del was obviously skilled in tracking. "This way!" Miles nodded, and raced after Del. Miles felt like this is where he belonged. Helping people, running across the world with someone he could look up to. They proceeded down the trampled wood path. Miles was started to catch up to Del, but soon, they both had to stop. In front of them was a large gray structure, two doors in the front leading in, who knows how many in the back.     "Do you think that's it?" Miles asked.

(Looks like I'll have to stay up all night so I won't miss anything. ) 

 

Ventus felt weak. Both his mom and dad were taken. And Roxas was injured. Ventus' head was spinning. 

"G-Get a hold of yourself.." he said to himself. Delsin and Miles left. Ventus wanted to go with them, but instead he stayed with Roxas.

He sat down next to his brother. "Don't worry, mom and dad will be back, I promise." he said, softly. Ventus hated to see his brother like this.

"Looks like it to me. lets move around back, see if there's a point of entry. from the looks of it, the direct approach isn't an option." Delsin and miles retreated back to the edge of the woods and began circling the building, just out of sight. there were guards posted at every entrance. Then Del saw a little ventilation hatch. he couldn't get through it, but miles could. He turned to his new friend. "we can get in through that hatch, but i'm too big to fit. i can lift you up to it, and you can come around to the nearest door and let me in." He unsheathed his most prized possession. his knife. "this knife has been enchanted. simply touching somebody with tip will render them unconscious. you don't have to hurt anyone if you don't want to." He held it out to miles. "whatta ya say?"
