Roxas looked really interested into it. He didn't really believed it was magic, but more of a silly good luck charm. He loved those. "That looks really cool... How much?" He raised an eyebrow as he saw the newcomer walk up to him, his brother, and the girl. He frowned. "Hey, we saw it first. I want to buy it." He didn't know if Ven wanted it, but Roxas sure did.

 

Vanitas growled. Great. Here comes the punk from earlier trying to foil his plans. He saw the kid drawing on the building. He would've approached the guy if it wasn't for the fact that the symbol he drew was a flame spell of the light mages. He hated the light mages. White, light, whatever they're called. They're all weak. He watched Dawn, hoping the twins and the man could be convinced it was just a silly good luck charm. Like something a school girl would carry around. "Damnit..."

 

Meanwhile Silver sighed. Well, he was always forever alone anyway. Thinking he had nothing else to do, he began his long walk back to the inn he stayed at. He hoped he would find his money to pay the innkeeper in his room. "Ahh..." He hoped Link arrived home safely.

"Oh. Roxas, are you really going to buy this sham?" whispered Ventus. He turned as he saw a guy walk up to them. "Um... my brother is right. HE saw it first." 

Ventus didn't say "We" because he didn't want to buy that thing. Maybe a good luck charm? Whatever. He didn't care. "So," said Ventus as he turned back 

to the girl. "How much will it be?"

~Dawn Estheim~ Dawn chuckled nervously when the mystery man walked up to the chatting group. Damn it. She thought. Another one of these guys. "Hello sir! Are you also interested in this charm? I'm sorry, but I only have one, and these boys seem pretty keen to have it. Maybe if you come back tomorrow night, I can offer you something equally interesting?" There was no way she was letting this man get away with interrupting. "Ah, yes. Well, seeing as you two are so young, I'm willing to give it to you as low as you want!" She said in response to the brothers question.~Miles Thompson~   Just as he thought, Link was already fast asleep in his bed, and Miles new pot had been missing. Once this was discovered, Miles snuck over to Mrs. Rosario's yard, to clean up the mess that Link had created. Link should really come up with a new dumping ground, he thought. Once the mess was out of the way, Miles hopped back to his house, and jumped into bed. Now that Link was home, he could rest easy.

Before the kids could respond, Delsin said to them, "if you kids really want this, go for it. but you should know its been enchanted. see the slight purple glow? i can only guess its been done by a dark mage. if you still want it, be my guests, but be careful. that things rather unsafe." He smirked at the young lady, and stayed right where he was.He didn't know what her plan was, or if she was the one who enchanted the item or not, but he refused to let her hurt the kids He felt protective of them, not only because they caught him painting earlier that evening, but he noticed something in the one whose brother kept calling him "nerd". he reminded him of himself, and his interest in magic. He turned back to the girl. " And miss, id love to see what you have for sale tomorrow. but see that that item is magic-free. i like my limbs where they are and my sanity like it is."

Roxas stuck his tongue out at Ventus. "It's not a sham. And I'm buying it with MY allowence dad gave me. Not yours." He felt rather happy Ventus stood by his side when it came to the stranger too. He looked back to the girl, not wanting to get the charm for a insanely cheap price anyway. "I'll take it for 1000 coin... Thanks!" (1000 coin is ten bucks btw) He gave the girl the money and took the charm. It looked really interesting. It didn't look to have anything magical about it too, so it was legal.

 

Vanitas grinned. Perfect. The stranger was still there though, so hopefully he wouldn't meds in his plans any longer. 'Good work Dawn.' He'd give it some time before he complete the next step of action. After he's done with the twins, he'd probably move on to the other people he saw with the guard yesterday. Maybe that Scottish guy next.

~Dawn Estheim~ She was delighted that she managed to have the kids take the charm. She looked back at the stranger, and gleefully stated"Most of my products are magically bound, however, I believe I have a few trinkets that would interest you. I'll expect you here tomorrow, same place!" She walked away triumphant, back to Vanitas, who congratulated her. "But, what of the stranger? I'm supposed to meet him again tomorrow and give him something. Do you have anything in mind?" She asked sinisterly, playing with the money she managed to get off with.

Damn. they bought it. Delsin had no choice but to back off now. he nodded to the others and walked off, his mind racing. How could he convince the kids that thing was unsafe? How could he get them to trust him? after all, they knew he was a vandal, and he had just tried to get that charm from them. He couldnt come up with a plan, so he resolved to go back to the inn and rest. He knew they lived in the town, so he decided he would stay a bit longer than he originally planned so he could keep an eye on them. if nothing else, they could still turn him for the vandalizing. but the most worrying of all was the charm itself. It was clearly enchanted, and if what he had read was correct, a dark mage had done it. what could the mage possibly stand to gain from this? it was all so confusing.

Aaaaaaand...Roxas bought it. "Ugh." said Ventus. He gave a quick look at the charm. It did have a purple glow, but very faint.

The guy was leaving. "H-Hey!" Ventus tried to catch up to him. "Thank you for..um.. whatever you were trying to do back there. Sadly, my idiot brother bought the charm."

One of the kids cought up with him, and thanked him. "Hey, no problem. but do me a favor. Keep an eye on him. that charm is dangerous, i know it. i havent quite figured out just what is going on, but something isnt right. My name is Delsin and im staying at the inn just down the street. if anything sketchy happens, please, let me know. its for the safety of both of you." huh. maybe they didnt know he was the vandal. " now get back to your brother and keep an eye on him." he gave the kid a smile as he said that. he liked these kids. he hoped that when this dark mage did enact his plan, this one would find him.

"Oh. I'm Ventus. Nice to meet to, Delsin. And don't worry, I will keep an eye out for my brother and the charm. I promise." 

He waved good-bye and went over to Roxas. Ventus then stopped and started to think. "That guy, he was the one who made that symbol!" He turned back to Delsin, 

and had an urge to tell Roxas but.... he decided to keep his mouth shut.

It became morning, Naomi was waking up slowly but as for Yu, he was still fast asleep. Naomi got up and threw on her gown and sluggishly walked towards Yu's room. She arrived and knocked on Yu's door. "Yu..." She asked.

"Yu...?" She asked again. Naomi opened the door and went inside. Yu was sprawled across the floor. Naomi sang out in a burst of laughter. Yu slowly woke up 

"Wha-?.." Yu looked confused. Naomi just giggled, bending down to see Yu. 

"Come on Yu, It's time to get dressed, remember? We're going to the market today." Naomi said, she ran off into her own room to get dressed. It was a day off of school so Naomi and Yu had the time to go into the market without the hassle of school. They both went down stairs together after they got dressed, their mother handed Yu a list that she wanted them to buy in the market that included bread, fruit and vegetables among other things. "C'ya mother!" Naomi shouted.

"Okay dear! Have fun with your brother!" Their mother replied. So they set off for the market.

After hearing a response from the skeleton saying he wasn't there to kill him, Kirby looked up at it with his starry ears. He felt bad judging it by its looks. The skeleton asked him if he had a home. Kirby looked at it with a somewhat surprised face. He looked down and scratched his head. He then shook his head at the skeleton. He looked away from it in a bit of shame."Wah...", he sighed.He then wondered if this skeleton had a home of his own. And, why is it out at this hour? The moon is was bright and shining!

"Well I dont either." Skeleton said, sitting beside Kirby.He handed Kirby some coins."What is your name?" Skeleton asked."People just call me Skeleton. Or Skelly." He said seriously.

~Miles Thompson~ "Hey, are you up yet?" A yell came from one room over. Miles rubbed his eyes before prying them open wearily. Was that Link talking? Since when? And... are those eggs he smells? He stumbled out of his bed, and staggered into the kitchen, where Link was found cooking. This was turning into one strange morning.   "Well, there you are! Breakfast is just about ready." Link smiled as Miles walked into his vision. He had already prepared the table for both of them. Apparently, Link was planning to stay the day this time, or maybe just the morning. Miles suspiciously took a seat at the table, and Link joined him shortly thereafter. "So, are you going to tell me why you suddenly decided to start talking?" "So, are you going to tell me what you were doing out so late last night?" He rebutted. Maybe this morning was going to turn out... well, not as good as he had hoped. I asked first... Miles thought. "Yes, you did, but my question is more important. What were you doing out so late?" Link answered back. Did Miles say that out loud? No... he was sure he didn't. Reluctantly, Miles replied. "I was ...looking at this weird symbol-" When that was said, Link had gotten up, and taken both plates out to wash. "Link, answer my question." "I would, but I feel like I don't have to. In fact, I'm just going to go back to being silent again." Miles was frustrated. Although he was off today, Miles stormed out of the abode and towards his work.

Delsin woke up. He hadn't slept well, but the sleep he did get was sufficient. He was still somewhat worried about the business in the market last night, but he knew he couldn't let it get to him now. he needed to hunt. so he grabbed his trusty hunting knife off of his bedside table, and set out. first he bought some rope at the market so he could make his traps, and then he set off down the road to the woods. He decided to hunt a different area today, one that was conveniently located on the edge of town near the building he vandalized. As he walked past his art, he saw the townsfolk gathered around swapping theories about who had done it. "I bet it was the young boys from the next town over, they love wreaking havoc on our community!" "You know what i think? i think it was Johnson boy! Always a bad apple, that one!" A guard walked up, red with anger. "WHO DID THIS?" He looked at Delsin. "You there, boy, did you see?" "No sir." Delsin said, never breaking stride. as soon as he moved away form the pack of people, he smiled to himself. That was just the reaction he was hoping for. Shock and Awe. He trotted toward the woods, passing the house where he had first spotted the kids noticing him. He hoped they were all right. A little further down the path, a boy, younger than he was, was passing him, in a huff of anger. Delsin couldn't tell where he was going, and he had never seen this guy before. "huh. wonder what that was all about." He payed no mind, and continued off toward the forest.

(Daym Link. And it was nighttime Scottish)

Roxas stood there and tapped his foot impatiently. "Hey, didn't mom tell us not to talk to strangers? Yeah, well you just did." He stuck his tongue out. "And you call me the dumb one. Come on. Let's get back before mom and dad wake up." He slipped the item he bought into his pocket. He felt like he had good luck already. He sighed. "Hey, you got something on your shirt." He put his finger on Ventus' chest.

 

Vanitas hummed in thought. "As much as I'd love to make that man suffer the same fate as those two idiots, I can't strike him yet." He pointed to Ventus and Roxas. "Since it looks like he's onto us, I don't think it's a good idea to meet up with him tomorrow. If you really want to though... I can put a curse on another item that you can give to him."

 

In the morning Roxas was up and watching his dad work. He left his satchel ontop of his bed in his room. He and his father was talking and whatnot, about swords and the like.

"You and Ventus should get a job." He said with a hardy nod. "That way you both will stop being lazy and bug your mother around all day."

Roxas crossed his arms. "We do a lot of stuff around here."

~Dawn Estheim~ [Last Night]"I see. Good thing I have another plan in mind. One involving him being put out of our way."~Miles Thompson~ So Link finally decides to talk, and that's what he tells me? Miles was infuriated. Insulted, even. Maybe work would get him off his mind. Work on what? Cid's closed down shop for today. Miles slowed to a stop, and took in a deep breathe. He let it all out in one big puff, before throwing himself on the ground, and sitting against a nearby wall. Why was Link acting this way? Does he want me to get out of his way? Well, fine. Consider me no longer a problem, Link.~Link Baxter~   Not exactly sure what just happened, Link sat back down at the table. He didn't want to tell Miles, because he knew that Miles wouldn't be happy with him. After all, Magic is what took his parents away. If he found out that Link was studying magic behind his back, Miles would kill him. Link resolved to go see Silver again, in the same place they practiced yesterday. But how do I know that Silver will be there? He said he was staying at an Inn at the edge of town... Maybe I should try there first.

Yu and Naomi were in the market, bustling with people as ever. It was around the noon, Naomi was astonished by all the gleaming objects just as Yu was, they were so alike. Yu had a look at some of the jewelry as Naomi's 15th birthday was coming soon, he was trying not to get caught looking at them by her. They were wandering around the markets, they had what they needed when Yu noticed Miles sitting by a wall by himself, he looked upset. "Where are you going Yu?" Naomi asked.

"That boy, he's looks sad, I met him when I got the bruise on my head yesterday, he helped me." Yu replied. They walked over to Yu, Naomi took Yu's hand and stood behind Yu, she was nervous, she was shy around people she didn't know "Hey Miles? What's up?" Yu asked.

~Miles Thompson~      "Yu? Hey! You left yesterday before we could say goodbye! I see you made it home fine." Miles was delighted to see that Yu was alright. He looked behind Yu and noticed a young girl. Well, younger than himself anyways.   "Ah, and who is your friend here?~Link Baxter~ He took the woods road, passed the painted wall, and went nearby the larger section of forest before he finally spotted that Inn that Silver had talked about. He hopped off Susan and towards the Main Room of the Inn. The woman working the counter greeted him with a large smile. "Hello there! Would you like a room?" Link was happy that he wasn't being patronized. He simply shook his head, and asked if a young boy with Silver hair had checked in recently. "Ah, yes. He's quite the quiet one! If you wait, I'm sure you'll come across him."

"Yeah... Sorry about that." Yu said with a laugh, shaking his head.

"This is my younger sister, Naomi, Naomi, this is Miles." Yu said proudly.

"Um... H-hi..." Said Naomi quietly. She looked away and clung onto Yu's shirt and hand.

"Aww.. Naomi you don't need to be so shy." Said Yu laughing to himself. Naomi kicked at the back of his shin lightly.

~Miles Thompson~ "Well, hi there Naomi!" Miles thought it was pretty cool, having someone to look after. He tried to look after Link, but Link won't let him. Too independent. Naomi seemed too shy to do much else besides say what she had. "It's nice to see you've recovered fine. What're you up to, anyways?" Miles wasn't in a hurry. Where would he be able to go to? He hoped Yu and Naomi were the same, not too busy. Maybe Miles could hang out with them for a little while.

Delsin came out of the woods more than satisfied. He had hunted enough to sell at the market for a pretty good amount. Normally, he would keep some of the meat for himself, but he decided because he would be in town for a while, he'd sell it all and have his meals at the local pub. he enjoyed the thought of having somebody else cook his meal for once. 

 

After he had made his money and settled down at the local tavern for his lunch, he set to thinking. What would he do? he had no idea what was going on. all he knew was that somebody was practicing magic. dark magic at that. and whoever this was, they had targeted the twins, and probably him after his intervention last night. first he had to come up with a goal. he knew he wanted to protect the kids, and stop whoever was misusing magic for dark purposes. magic was a powerful thing, that shouldn't be abused. but he couldn't fight, and didn't know magic. He decided the first thing was to acquire some form of self-defense.if he was going to get involved, he would probably come face - to - face with this dark mage at some point or another. Life had been hard on him since his parents died, and there were times where he couldn't gather up enough food. these periods of undernourishment had left him physically weak, and he knew learning to be a warrior was out. He decided it was finally time to learn magic. so, when he finished up his lunch, he left the restaurant with a desire. the desire to walk the path of a mage.

Silver sighed as he entered the inn with a small bag of supplies and food for later. Obviously since magic was banned, it was basically impossible to get any ingredients for quality potions except for standard garden herbs that are normally used for food. Oh well. It wasn't like he was going to try to make any potions anyway. He didn't want to get arrested again in two days. He noticed Link was inside the inn, talking to the counter lady. He greeted him happily. "Hey Link!" He said. He didn't mention anything about magic, ofcoarse. "Did you make it safely back home?"

"Well I dont either." Skeleton said, sitting beside Kirby.He handed Kirby some coins."What is your name?" Skeleton asked."People just call me Skeleton. Or Skelly." He said seriously.

Kirby sat there next to Skelly. He rubbed the back of his neck and responded to the question.

 

"Um...Kirby", he said, blushing a bit in shyness.

Time had passed, and Kirby sat with Skeleton under the tree all night, conversing about who they were and what situations they where in at that time. He even told him about the star shard and showed it to him. However, Kirby didn't really speak much, as he acted out all of his actions. The next thing he knew, it was morning. Him and Skeleton stayed under the shade of the tree. As soon as Kirby saw the golden horns of sunlight, he stood up and stretched his arms. After that, he turned around and held out a hand towards Skelly to help him up. He smiled. He wanted to take him to town to meet his new friends.

 

"Poyo!", he exclaimed with a rosy smile.
