Scotsman looks down at Kirby, and smiles warmly. He waves.

"Oi, hello there wee laddie! Who might you be?"

He relaxes more, his kilt thankfully kept him cool in the heat

Roxas shrugged. "Well, you're right on the pirate part. The music, well..." he stopped before Ventus could jab him in the gut from rudeness. He shrugged. "Well, Miles here is right. That's what this town is. I don't know anything about your clan or whatever... right now I was just about to go with my brother and pick up some goods for my parents." he took his sword from his holster. "Thanks your annoying that guard guy! He took away this great sword a week ago. I got it back though. It's great to have a taste of revenge..." he looked over to Kirby. "He doesn't talk much."Meanwhile Silver smiled. He didn't mind sharing his tale. Chivia was a great place to him after all. "Well, I came here from my school in Chivia to look for some relics. I've heard there's special ancient runes and what not. I wanted to find some to collect them. I didn't think the magic rules were strict here... I was using my crystal to locate some on a map. They caught me and wanted to hang me. And that's where you find me." he sighed fondly at the thought of home. "I was staying here for a week now at a inn. Chivia is so wonderful... but I like Asnia too."

Scotsman raises an eyebrow as he listens to Roxas.

"I see....and don't sweat it; that fairy-tooth, sore-tempered, wee dandy guard was obnoxious and annoying...and Kirby here seems like a nice wee lil' laddie regardless....in fact, it looks like he wants to show us something....."

When the Scotsman greeted Kirby, he smiled and scratched his head. To concur with Roxas' statement, he nodded his head in agreement. Doing so, he got a glace of the brilliant looking sword.

 

"Whoa...". That was all he could utter at that moment, staring at the sword.

 

Compared to his puny little shard, that weapon was a beauty! He hadn't seen anything like it. He can somewhat guess why the guard would take it. What a pansy! He walked up to Roxas and examined the blade some more, letting his curiousity get the better of him. 

 

He turned around overhearing the Scotsman. Kirby blinked at him. and cautiously pulled out the star shard from him pocket. He showed it to the Scotsman, Ventus, Roxas, and Miles. Maybe one of them might know what it really is. If it is magic, he guessed it'd be nice to have. When looking at Roxas's blade, he thought this. Physical weapons can only be one sided, for good or for bad. However, it seemed as if magic can be a mix of the two. Both good...and evil. He hoped it wasn't.

The Scotsman grins, deciding to not pull out his own sword. He didn't know it, but the last time his sword met an equal was when he clashed with Samurai Jack, who would become his best friend.

"That there is a perty wee sword. And those runes suggest she's got quite a tale, like the runes on mine."

He then looks at Kirby's Star Shard, and takes a knee to inspect it.

"Woah now.....THAT is interesting....I don't know why, but it seems familiar...like I've seen one of those before...."

(Naomi is essentially working as a Nanako character atm, Nanako was Yu's drive to go on with the game in Persona, Naomi is gonna be kinda similar)

 

"Welcome Home Yuuu!" Naomi shouted, following with a big hug. Naomi noticed a big bruise on Yu's head.

"What happened to you, Yu?" Asked Naomi, cocking her head to the side.

"A light blinded me... Then.. I fell to the ground.. That's about all I remember.." Yu replied, smiling.

"It's nothing to worry about, don't be upset Naomi." Yu said, he patted Naomi on the head softly.

"Mother wants us to go shopping tomorrow in the market." Said Naomi, he remembered that he was going to go out with Roxas and the others tomorrow.

'Guess that has to wait' Yu thought to himself.

Delsin Rowe

 

Nightfall. Delsins favorite time of day. The townsfolk were all turning in for the night and the guards were off to the bar. His window of oppritunity. He grabbed the bowl of paint he had been mixing all day, made from some paste he purchased at market and some deer's blood he had hunted the day before for color. He ran through town in cover of darkness until he spotted a nice large wall that was clearly visible from the street. He grabbed his brush and paint and set to work drawing a very large fire sybol, like the ones mages use to cast their fire spell. He was always for magic, but didnt study it. he searched long and hard for one of those relics he had heard about, but never found it, so he settled to messing with the guards through vandalism. 5 years ago, his parents were arrested for possession of magical items on a trip across the border to visit some family. They were hanged for their "crimes", and Delsin was forced to watch to "deter him form the practice of magic". it had the opposite effect, but he never actually achieved his goal of studying the art, because living on his own took all his time. He hunted for his meats, and sold what he didnt eat as well as the hides for his income. He had become a fairly adept at remaining unseen, so he used this to slowly take some form of revenge on the govenment that killed his family. 

This particular night, he was angrier than usual, seeing as the guards had confiscated some of is meat as "evidence". That was complete and utter bull, but Delsin wasnt much in a fight, so he resolved to do the biggest act of vandalisim he could muster.

It was getting late. Yu had finished his study's while Naomi read a book in her room.

"Lamp's out kids!" Shouted Naomi and Yu's mother. Naomi put the book down, got up and walked into her brother's room, Yu was reading a book at his desk. Naomi went over to Yu.

"What are you reading?" Naomi asked politely. 

"A book about a boy who lost his home to darkness." Yu replied. Naomi smiled.

"Cool!" Naomi responded excitedly. Yu closed the book and put it in his drawer then got up.

"Did you need something?" Yu asked.

"I just came to say good night!" Naomi replied happily. She gave Yu a hug and skipped off to her room. Yu got changed and went to bed, as did Naomi.

 

(I'm up for a day skip to the next day if you're all okay with that also subtle Kingdom Hearts reference is subtle )

Roxas looked out the window from his room upstairs with Ventus. He tossed a crumpled up piece of paper to Ventus. It knocked him right in the noggin. "Hey nerd." He said, gesturing to the window. "Look at this guy. He's painting on the neighbors house across the path!" It actually interested him. It looked like a symbol of magic. "It looks like one of the pictures in the book that we read."

Delsin felt something wrong. he hopped down from the box he was standing on to get the top of his art. He slipped around the corner, and started looking around to see if something was wrong. across the way, he saw a kid in his window with his head turned, saying something. That was his Que to wrap it up. He grabbed up his paint and dashed down the street. He popped into the nearest inn and used some of the money from todays pull, and bought a room. he didnt live around here. he traveled around the district hunting and raising hell. its was a stressful but satisfying life for him. when he sees some of the more "idealistic guards" freak out when they see his vandalisim the next day, it makes him feel like hes doing something right by his late parents. his work that night let him drift off to sleep with a smile on his face.

~Miles Thompson~That was quite the interesting day, but now Miles was back home alone, as he expected he would be. He tried to get a moments reprise, but it wasn't possible. He was too busy worrying about what happened to Link... and all those people he met today. He wondered if he could see them tomorrow? After all, Cid did give him the day off, and Link wasn't going to be back by then, most likely.~Link Baxter~It was already nightfall, and Link had been training with Silver the whole time. Link learned so much about Magic, but this was only the beginning! He only had one spell down, but he learned so much about the properties: Where it came from, how it works, history, all of it. Silver was a great teacher, and Link was lucky to meet someone like him on time. However, it was getting late, and Link had passed out only minutes ago. He had hoped that he didn't fall asleep while Silver was teaching... he had no idea when he fell asleep, or if he was alone when he did. Just that he was in the middle of the forest with Susan.

Skeleton was walking around aimlessly, coming across a little boy under a tree. He had pink hair and stood out.

"Are you okay little boy?" He asked Kirby.

"Why did you throw that?! And stop calling me "nerd"!"  He went over to Roxas and looked out the window as well. 

"I don't see the big deal........oh. OH!" he said. "Interesting." Whoever was painting that had left rather quickly. 

"That symbol. You're right, Roxas. I know I've seen it in a book I read a while ago. But I can't recall which though."

It was evening, and Kirby found a rather tall apple tree near a courtyard to sleep under. Well, it seemed tall to him, being the height of a child. It was somewhat far from town, but he could find his way back. He would have went to the flower shop with Namine, but he couldn't find her. He stared up at the stars until he drifted off to sleep.

After some time, Kirby heard a rather loud sound of rattling that woke him up. Still groggy, he opened his eyes slowly and rubbed them. After his eyes came into focus, he saw a boney figure standing before him. His eyes popped open.

 

"Eee!"

 

He brought his body close together, shaking a bit at the sight of the skeleton.

 

"Poyo...", He said, cowering in fear.

"What? I haven't come to kill you or anything. I just dont see a lot of people around here at night. Skeleton said.

"Do you not have a home little boy?" He asked Kirby.

After hearing a response from the skeleton saying he wasn't there to kill him, Kirby looked up at it with his starry ears. He felt bad judging it by its looks. The skeleton asked him if he had a home. Kirby looked at it with a somewhat surprised face. He looked down and scratched his head. He then shook his head at the skeleton. He looked away from it in a bit of shame.

 

"Wah...", he sighed.

 

He then wondered if this skeleton had a home of his own. And, why is it out at this hour? The moon is was bright and shining!

Silver was just sitting underneath a tree, resting as Link was asleep. He didn't want to fall asleep himself; it was too dangerous. It felt somewhat strange since Link was way older than him, but he was happy to have someone to teach magic too. He was looking through his notes and collection of relics and what not. He was rather satisfied with what he collected. "Hmmm..." He looked to Link and frowned. Hopefully that boy that was with him wasn't worried sick. Did he ever say his name?

 

Meanwhile Roxas grinned. "You can't remember? You're a terrible nerd." He looked at the people wandering outside. Some were even selling items. He heard once that some people ran a black market down at the library. Just a rumor though. A black market for magical items. "Hey, we should sneak out for a few minutes."

~Miles Thompson~   It was late, yet Miles still could not sleep. He was restlessly walking through the abode in which he and Link reside. He was used to being in the house alone by now. At least he could keep his pots safe. Link liked to use them as Target practice. Although the yard would usually get overthrown by tall grass while Link was away. Link had always liked attacking the grass with his sword, for some reason. Miles had thought about all the things Link used to do when he was home. He used to be home all the time, just resting and cooking and eating and practicing. It wasn't the same anymore. Miles went out into the yard to check up on the grass. Since it had only been a few hours, the grass was still nice and short... but something else was off. A large, red symbol- one Miles was not familiar with- had been painted, no, smeared, on the side of a nearby building. Miles walked towards it to investigate. "Huh..." he said out loud. Maybe too loudly. After all, it was night, and people were trying to sleep. Or maybe not...

Ventus looked at the room door, then back at Roxas. "I-I suppose we can...but if we get in trouble AGAIN, I will not cover you this time, okay?"  

He went over to the window and opened it. Ventus looked at his brother. "So? What are you waiting for?"

Silver sighed, and shook Link awake. "Hey..." He said, rubbing the back of his head. He felt bad for whoever lived with Link. "You should get home. Your relatives must be worried sick." He fished around in his pocket, looking for the money he used to pay for the inn. "...great." The money was long gone. He must have dropped it from the whole guard ordeal.

 

Roxas grinned and grabbed his wooden sword. "You're forgetting THIS!" He tossed Ventus' sword at him, and leaped out the window like he was in Assassin's Creed. Who knows where he would be if it wasn't for Ventus. "Come on slowpoke!" He called quietly from the ground. Thank God his father slept like a solid rock.

~Link Baxter~Link groaned from exhaustion. It was that dream again. Maybe it was a good thing that Silver woke him up."Uh, yeah, you're right. Miles is probably waiting for me still. Thanks Silver. Link grabbed his things, and hopped back up on Susan. Together, they headed back to town, and back to the cozy home they knew and loved. He made sure not to pass out on Susan again, and walked inside. He threw his stuff in his usual places, and started to head for his room. But wait, something was wrong. Link turned his head, before quickly putting his back to his front. There, in the rays of the moonlight. There it was. A pot. Link couldn't stand the idea of the pot not being shattered, like it rightfully should. However, he was also aware that Miles might be sleeping. So, he took the pot into his room, put it under his pillow, and jumped onto it. The shattered remains of the pot were then properly disposed of; thrown into Mrs. Rosario's yard. All was right now. Link laid back onto his bed, and hoped that he wouldn't have the same dream again. All was right again. Link dozed off quietly, not even a snore. Yes, all was right. Except that Miles was out in the street.

"O-Okay!" He followed Roxas and jumped out the window. Luckily, Ventus has done this many times with Roxas. Ventus always ended up

covering him, but he didn't mind since they're brothers. "Okay, so now what?"

"We walk around in the market! Duh." He led Ventus to some vendors near the library. In the town was a great balance of livelihood and mystery. With the guards being lazy and not really doing anything at night, that's when the real interesting thing happen. Roxas loved being out at night. The darkness around them lit by the pretty yellow lanterns looking like whisper in a enchanted forest. Roxas sighed happily. He truly felt great when he was with his brother in the market at night. "Hm, anything look interesting to you?"

 

Meanwhile a wicked force of darkness stood, hidden in the shadows like a hunter watching his prey. There was Vanitas. He had his dark Mage hood over his face. It didn't draw attention from guards. When it did he'd just knock them out and curse them to a nightmare. He watched the tweedle dum and tweedle idiot (someone get that reference) walk around at night like fools. He looked to his partner, and showed her a strange rune with a interesting signia on it. It looked to be carved from bone, and had a strange symbol on it.

"Dawn." He said with a grin. "Take this and try to sell it to them. Give it to them for free if you have to. I snatched it from some sucker and enchanted it."

(No, when I said They, I meant Link and Susan [Which is a Doctor Who joke I couldn't resist] )~Dawn Estheim~All dressed up in her pretty pink skirt and lengthy scarf, Dawn looked graciously back at the Dark Mage, and simply nodded. She happily trotted over to the two brothers, who were supposed to be inside at this time of night. Didn't their parents teach them better than this? "Hey there! I see you're out late browsing the market! Would you be interested in this here Insignia? It's said to hold magic beyond your wildest dreams!" She said it as cheerfully as possible, with a large grin on her face, and an undying brightness in her eyes.~Link Baxter~ Asleep once more, the dream began again. The chasing in the dark, the stormy sky... Link had basically memorized every aspect of the dream. Once again, whatever was chasing him had gotten closer, too close for comfort. Link had thought it was the end for him again... but wait, something was different this time. There was something in the air, something he'd never noticed before. Was it a voice?~Miles Thompson~ This symbol... what was it? Why was it here? And who put it there? Did it do anything? How long has it been there? Miles had many thoughts surging through his mind at once. However, he was thrown off track. A horse came speeding by, quite a large one at that, and one he recognized. Susan. And atop him was Link, returning home sooner than expected. But maybe that wasn't a good thing. Miles took one last look around before he noticed something odd in the air. A new presence. Disturbed, Miles ran back home as soon as he could.

Delsin woke up. A rat had scurried across the floor in his room and being a light sleeper, (he had to be for the nights he was forced to sleep in the wilderness) he woke up to investigate. as he did, he saw the boy from that evening walking toward the market with who could only be his brother, perfect. this could be his chance to make sure he didnt get caught. He hopped out of bed and ran out into the street, pursuing the two young boys. As he got to the market, he saw the two boys engaged in conversation with a pretty young girl. He prepared to wait until they were free again, but he noticed she was trying to sell the kids something. the item glowed faintly, and from what he had read, Delsin discerned that it had been enchanted. he couldnt let two young boys get conned like that, so he prepared to intervene. he walked up to the group and asked the young girl what was for sale.

(sorry, i couldnt resist waking delsin up and getting involved, what with all the great stuff going on now!)
