Is/Was Riku Supposed to a Pretty Boy?

Many KH fans think that Riku is hot. Did Nomura want us to find Riku attractive or did Riku just, I don't know, happened to be attractive? Has anyone thought of this? Or is it just me? I know that wanted him to be 'cool, calm, and collective'  (that alliteration) does physical attraction come with that 

I was looking at the concept art for Riku and noticed that they altered his ballerina style to a Ko gasumi like fighting stance.

He and the other cast of KH are the love children of Final Fantasy and Disney, where everyone is beautiful, even the NPCs and especially most of the villains.  For all we know, he's only above average by this universe's standards.

Riku's supposed to be a pretty boy as much as Aqua is supposed to give boners. It's not uncommon for japanese video game designers to try and make their characters look attractive

A random thought came through my head while I was playing FFXIII-2. I was thinking Noel's artwork looks a lot like Sora's artwork. I googled Noel Kreiss concept art and Riku's concept art popped up. I had not seen those in a while. Then, I reminded myself," Nomura draws all his characters alike because he has a distinct art style." I went to tumblr because I wanted to post it on my blog, but then I was like,"I need to look the trophy list because I need to beat this thing in Oerba." That was an hour or two ago. But, then I changed my mind and posted it here. Now, I must fight this superboss in Oerba in FFXIII-2 and finish Hard Mode on Lightning Returns because that is what I originally needed to do. 

That is how this question was made. I occasionally post crazy topics here like the eyelash thread and Riku's Hair color is Blue.

Most designers try to give their characters aesthetically pleasing characteristic because it makes them more likable. Think about it, even if a character is a total douche, if they're hot their going to get at least some fans.

 

All I know for certain is that they where designed to be opposites.

 

What I want to know is why did Sora's hair get so much lighter, it's not like he was in the sun all the time while he was asleep. I mean I know hair color can change gradually over time, but not at that point in life and not so suddenly. Yeah a dark haired baby could be blonde when their 7 but after infancy hair doesn't change again until it goes gray, not when you're 14/15. And while w'ere on it, why is 4 year old Sora's hair the same color as 15 year old Sora and not 14 year old Sora?

I think people just happen to find them attractive.  People tend to also favor a person who isn't the main character, and Riku with his twist of darkness could fit into a "bad boy" character that people just flock to.  I don't think they go out of their way to make them attractive, given it's Disney+FF setting I doubt the target market at the time was even near puberty to be lured in by the hotness of someone, just I don't see many companies trying to make their likable cast ugly.  It's also known with Disney old people/ugly people are evil.

It's interesting how Riku is called the pretty boy, yet he's one of the only male adolescents  who actually has some muscle. To me, Sora's slender arms, and delicate looking body read more "feminine" to me than Riku. If I were completely new to KH, and looked at Riku from the first game, I would be able to tell straight away he was a dude. Sora on the other hand.......and with the voice? Yeah..........no.

 

Besides, we all know who the REAL pretty boy is- *Cue Marluxia theme music.*

Pretty boy in my book is a boy who is really attractive and is most girls' ideal type, so it is not a specific type. 

Example: Final Fantasy's pretty boys- Tidus, Cloud, Zack, Balthier, Noctis, Squall, etc...

 

Skinny arms and delicate bodies to me are classified as Flower Boys, a subcategory of pretty boys. 

Example: Sora, Roxas, Ventus
