My Youtube's channel dying...

Recommended Posts

I've been a Youtuber since 2007 and I make videos everytime I get the chance to. I've reached 1,000 subscribers, more then 170 videos and have videos with over 40,000 views and others which have more then 100 comments...

Back at 2011 - 2012, my channel was full. Everyday I'd get a PM, dozens of comments and Comments on my Youtube's Channel but now... nothing...

My editing skills have gotten way better and I now make more decent videos, videos where I can spend hours, or months working on it and for what, exactly?

There's a video of mine which I started to work back at January and only finished 1 month ago that only has 700 views. I tagged it like hell and even used 'Add. Tags' on its description. It's about a well-known game called TERA and many videos of it have more then 100,000 views, even the fan-made ones, even the ones that no single effort was put on.

I'm gettign really tired of seing people who don't actually spend one hour on a video getting millions of views and of subscribers out of nothing whille I and many others tire ourselves to make an non-profit video...

In the past 5 months my videos haven't reached 900 views...  and some didn't even get past 100...

It took me years to get Youtube's Partnership... And what do I use it for? Not for getting money that's for sure. I only use it in order to create longer videos and to edit my thumbnails... It took sort of 2 years to get it and do you know how bad I felt when seeing people with less then 100 subs getting it on their first day whille I had to wait so long and tried to apply several times?...

I even got my channel shut down once by both my dad and Youtube...

Maybe I should just give up. I get no support or respect in real life and nor on the internet anymore...

... I'm not gonna travel...

That's not the point. >.>You were saying back 2011-2012 you were getting tons of comments and PMs and stuff. Well at least according to one of those videos Youtube changed its promotion algorythim in the early to mid 2012. And that algorithm favors veiwing session time. And you were complaining about people that used practically no editing getting more views than you? Well they probably were chaining together more viewing session time. Thus they get more promoted by the Youtube automation and are more likely to be viewed. And the second video spoke more about that single point, and made no mention of travel.

700 views in a month really isn't that bad is it? I know a ton of people (some on this site) who put out videos that only get like 10 views in a month.

I wish I could help you but I don't know how

It takes time,a lot of time.Even the famous youtuber were on Youtube for such a long time.

The only thing I can hellp you is tell you to do not give up.Try communicating with people with similar content with you.

Usually people don't read descriptions so maybe put that message in the end of the video.

Other things that I've heard is to connect with your subscribers and communicate with them

And most importantly

You shouldn’t make videos with the intent or aim to become successful, I don’t think any successful Youtuber has done that.

If you genuinely enjoy making videos, then the success will come later, without you needing to actually do anything at all. If you’re making videos you love, people will see that, people like honesty. Be honest about what you love making, and be honest to yourself.

I hope I helped

Do game walkthroughs! Usually when I'm on youtube, I'll watch those (but I mostly watch Everglow. :P)

Or probably do English covers of Anime songs. A lot of people like those.

Fool. Pay to promote for videos.

I love making videos, but what's the point if there's no one to like them?

Well, it's not bad at all. But from 10 videos posted in past 5 months, only one got those views.
