User17k 211 Posted July 19, 2010 Does anybody else think that 3582 and Birth by Sleep are bad titles for kh games I mean days was about how long it takes and about two people and birth by sleep was about ven being born but it doesn't make any sense why they chose those titles. terraxaqua34 98 Posted July 19, 2010 they dont sound like bad tites 358/2 was about roxas days in 13 and bbs is about the storys of terra aqua and ven
Think Pink 1,967 Posted July 19, 2010 No, they're not bad. Birth by Sleep is because of BBS's kind of underlying theme, "everything is born from sleep". Tetsuya Nomura also said he wanted to use 'by' and 'sleep' because they're not often used in game titles.
User17k 211 Posted July 19, 2010 they dont sound like bad tites 358/2 was about roxas days in 13 and bbs is about the storys of terra aqua and ven Why would they make a game about Roxas and call it 3582 days, it doesn't make sense I mean its like they're putting numbers of days and people in the same title wtf. JTD95 1,107 Posted July 19, 2010 They chose those names to confuse you so that you could only understand the title after you finish the game...
Reversal 53 Posted July 19, 2010 They chose those names to confuse you so that you could only understand the title after you finish the game... ^ Essentially this. The meaning of 358/2 Days varies depending on who you talk to, since Nomura never really clarified who the 2 represented. Personally, I think it's Sora and Roxas, as shown during the game: Roxas on the top screen, Sora on the bottom, and Xion acting as the bridge between them. Birth by Sleep was created because Nomura wanted to use 'by' and 'sleep', two words rarely found in game titles. And of course, Ansem's soon to be famous line, "Everything is born from sleep." Tricia-chan 42 Posted July 20, 2010 They aren't bad titles. I agree with the fact that the titles give a mystery-like sense, and it makes you want to play the game to find out what it means. (I remember how psyched I was when I had the idea of what 358/2 meant when I beaten the game. x3)
hatok 6,413 Posted July 20, 2010 I really wish the games themselves explained what 358/2 Days and Birth By Sleep meant. Pretty much Nomura explained what they meant a while after the game was released. At least in CoM they stated what the Chain of Memories WAS. But both BBS and Days relied on Nomura interpreting the names in interviews.
