what do you think is the best KH instalment? explain why.

 

i reckon that KH 1 is the best because it sets up the series almost perfectly and for its time had great combat controls and story line.

kh2, It had great gameplay and it had a much deeper storyline than 1

The fighting mechanics are superb, the graphics are exquisite, the arsenal of abilities and Keyblades is daunting, and the plot makes up for all the retcon and lazy writing exhibited in past installments

 

Trust me, it's gonna be big

I'd say KH since it was the first one, but I've spent more time playing KH2FM because of the gameplay and the extra boss battles.

Tie between bbsfm, ddd, 2fm and 1fm because each are unique in their own way

I prefer kh2 because the story is longer and there are more beautiful worlds than kh1

Tied between BbS and DDD.  It's the two that I have enjoyed the most, in story and gameplay.

 

For story BbS, I like how you get to play with the 3 characters and their stories are conected in some points. Also, I always love seeing the past in a big story like this, it explains and expands a lot, and this is what happened in BbS. In HD it's gonna be great. They added a lot of gameplay mechanics which were awesome!

 

For gameplay I prefer DDD. The flowmotion is basically incredible, and soooo fun. I like Dream Eaters a lot too, it's like having Pokémon in KH I just had so much fun playing that I reached level 99 in an instant. And with flowmotion exploration was easier. Story was also great, but mostly in the last part, while BbS was more divided. Though I have to admit that I really liked seeing the TWEWY cast =P

For me its KH 2 I love traverse town ^^

I'd like to say KH2 but KH1 really has a special place in my heart. Such a hard choice.

KH1 > KH2

KH2FM > KH1

KHI by far. Even today, playing it still makes me feel the way I did back when I first played it as a five year old kid. I love every single thing about it, and wish that the series would look to its roots sometimes. KHI had a lot of strategy, and they kinda lost that aspect starting with KHII. Same goes for the exploration aspect. Also, the story in KHI was brilliant. I really liked the rivalry between Sora vs Riku, and what happened between them later on. Then the ending... Still gets me to this day.

Then I saw a billion Sora's fall from the sky in Traverse, and got scarred for life.

kh 1, while the gameplay isn't as fast paced as some of the other titles it was still really good. the story is on par with other like 2, DDD, and bbs but what makes it the best for me is some of the things it had that i really wish would have stayed in the series. Things like trinity marks and puzzles (simple as they were they added a nice touch to the worlds they were in) and the notecards in traverse town. All of which where pretty much never used or seen again in the kh series after 1. damn shame 

Kh1 but I have a feelin 3 will knock it off it's throne. Also re chain of memories very underrated

It is very difficult for me to choose a favorite installment of the series since I love all the games, but I guess that if I had to pick one, it would be Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep.  It is one of the most tragic games in the series, and it explains so much about the loose threads in the series, and it really gives a deeper insight into Xehanort's plot of obtaining Kingdom Hearts as his own.  Yes, while I know that Days is also a tragic game, my love for Birth By Sleep is absolute.  The most heartbreaking thing is seeing Terra, Aqua and Ventus break away from each other and meeting cruel ends.  But they'll be reunited, for the promised reunion is at hand.  But yeah, as far as favorites go, Birth By Sleep is sheer brilliance!

KH1 for me. The gameplay is more challenging, even though the others were more in depth with story.

Since I grew up on collectathon platformers, KH1 was my favorite.Lets see:You had platforming everywhereMini puzzlesMini-games that were near seamlessly crafted into normal game play. (Though KH II did do that in the prologue)I like Sora the best in KH 1

I liked collecting the dalmatian puppies.I liked finding the trinity marks.KH1's story seemed less flawed than KHIIAnd nostalgia
