Master Eraqus 1,340 Posted August 15, 2014 A lot of us, including myself, were really mad/sad about the mirage arena not having multiplayer in it, but for a good reason, that is to focus more on Kingdom Hearts 3. But I've been thinking, and I'm sure you've guessed it from the title, is what if once Kingdom Hearts 3 comes out, Square will start working on the multiplayer as a DLC? (Just to point out that I'm not 100% knowledgeable on DLC's, so I'm not entirely sure if this is a possibility) What do you think?
Dariel57 20 Posted August 15, 2014 That would be pretty nice but is highly doubtful specially for kh2.5! Maybe for future KH games, but then again they would most likely include it from the beginning. 1 PrinceNoctis reacted to this
Dio Brando 5,810 Posted August 15, 2014 (edited) Why in the world would someone sell a multiplayer mode as a paid DLC? The mode was already in the PSP version If they plan on adding multiplayer they should implement it in the game to begin with not make us buy the mode itself Edited August 15, 2014 by Annoying D Waluigi 3 Silent, Col.Random and qwertywarrior16 reacted to this
Aru Akise 2,540 Posted August 15, 2014 No. Simple as that.
Ruby Rose 8,591 Posted August 15, 2014 I don't know, once III is out I'm not sure they'd go back and create multiplayer for a game that was released years prior Honestly I'm looking forward to seeing how they've changed the Mirage Arena to be Single-Player 4 Emrys, Ceriraye, King Demise and 1 other reacted to this

Isamu Kuno 2,512 Posted August 15, 2014 (edited) It's not happening. Ever. It would take too much money and man power to maintain the servers. And I don't think that online functionality can be added to something that wasn't intended to have it. I mean you can add stuff like costumes and characters, but I don't think you can add and entirely new function because that would mean changing the code of the game itself. AuraAce 1,126 Posted August 15, 2014 No. For a number of reasons. It's pointless It stops time on Kingdom Hearts III Takes a long to time establish servers for it Many other reasons that I won't add.
Shulk 8,623 Posted August 15, 2014 They should NEVER remove a feature from a game in an HD Remaster, then include it later as DLC. I would lose the little respect I have for Square if that were to happen.
Hero of Winds 2,576 Posted August 15, 2014 (edited) Why go back to make multiplayer for a game that'll be about 2-3 years old by time KH3 comes out, when you'd have a much better multiplayer for KH3? It's not happening. Ever. It would take too much money and man power to maintain the servers. And I don't think that online functionality can be added to something that wasn't intended to have it. I mean you can add stuff like costumes and characters, but I don't think you can add and entirely new function because that would mean changing the code of the game itself. This has happened before in some very forgettable titles. Edited August 15, 2014 by Hero of Winds
Master Keeper 687 Posted August 15, 2014 I would like to have that but I doubt it. Especially since many will focus on KHIII and don't return to II.5 HD.
kingdomlanelover 494 Posted August 15, 2014 Master Eraqus, you're too dead, go home. haha, but nice idea. Too bad Disney sucks and won't put any downloadable content to Kingdom Hearts.

Rockstar has released only free DLCS for GTA V so far, so if SE wanted to do it they could easily make it free but there is no reason to do it because by the time KH III is finished KH II.5 will be 2-3 years old!! Emrys 3,192 Posted August 15, 2014 im actually confused as to why there wont be multiplayer. I know a few things about programing and honestly it wouldn't be hard to repurpose the ad hoc code to internet connectivity. I wonder why they wouldn't take that extra step for the game. im sure they have their reasons.
EricBwn 86 Posted August 16, 2014 They never bother with DLC's for HD remasters. Ever.
Dr_Venesto 0 Posted August 16, 2014 i reckon a multiplayer in the Coliseum would go alright.. sorta like a team death match similar to how they did in God of War Ascension. just have like a default key blade warrior or something like that, so you can upgrade your armour and weapons.. but if they do that then they should focus on it from the start and save it for a later game.. but i don't see it happening because it would be hard to implement it into KH.. King_Graham 135 Posted August 22, 2014 Multiplayer as DLC is not exactly common, and the games primary code would have to be altered to allow stuff to be inserted. im actually confused as to why there wont be multiplayer. I know a few things about programing and honestly it wouldn't be hard to repurpose the ad hoc code to internet connectivity. I wonder why they wouldn't take that extra step for the game. im sure they have their reasons.allegedly, it would be a real trial and error process plus it costs money to maintain servers.
