Aya stirred a bit, her eyes barely opening. She was really warm, and figured out why really fast. Aya was laying a bit too close to her liking beside Veran. However the lead of the Everus household didn't care right now. She was way too exausted.

Alice didn't see Aya in her bedroom,but then again,she kind of threw her bed across the room...she would have to fix that later. "Where would I go sleep if I were the  head of the household and one of my servants had thrown the bed across the room?"Alice muttered to herself,wondering as she walked around,carrying the basket in her hands. Marco was right behind her. Alice growled. "Why do you follow me?"Alice asked. "Just want to familiarize myself with the manor. I haven't been here long enough to know it in its entirety. Besides. I want to see Lady Aya as well,and that...butler."Marco said with a hiss. He must be referring to Veran."Whatever,as long as you don't get in my way."Alice said as she walked away. "Touche touche."Marco muttered as he walked down the hall with his hands in his pockets. Alice groaned to herself. "Maybe I should ask Veran. That reminds me I should wake him up,he's usually awake by now."Alice muttered as she walked over to Veran's room. "Veran? Are you awake? Do you know where Lady Aya is residing for the night? After I threw her bed across the room,I don't think she stayed in her room."Alice said,receiving a strange look from Marco before shaking it off. As she reached the doorknob,her habit of not knocking before entering kicked in as she opened the door and her eyes widened with a gasp. Veran was cutely asleep with lady Aya right next to him. It was the most kawaii thing that Alice had ever seen. "K-K-Kawaii!!!"Alice whispered as a blush spread across Marco's face. "I...I think I can ship it."Marco stammered as Alice hushed him. "Oh my gosh I wish I had a camera!"Alice whispered. "This is so cute even for me to handle."Marco whispered in agreement.

Suddenly Veran opened one eye. It glared at Alice and Marco, and said that all that needed to be said.

GET OUT. It screamed, and more than enough to strike fear into the hearts of most mortal men. Veran was still quite tired, and he was not letting any intruder harm, touch, or so much as stir his lady from her peaceful sleep. Though Veran said he would wake up at this time to find a bed, it would be next-to-impossible with the way his Lady was holding onto him.

Aya's eyes opened once more, her yawning and looking at Veran.

"It is too early..." She muttered, letting go of Veran and rolling herself over, looking at Alice and Marco.

She was mainly too exausted to even realize her eyepatch was off.

"Is Samael here...?" She asked, yawning once more.

Veran's glare was enough to make the two servants freak out and hug each other out of pure terror. "D-Don't kill me Veran I promise to be good!!!"Alice shrieked. Marco was no different with his, "I promise not to sneer behind your back if you spare me!!!" The two then calmed down when they saw lady Aya wake up and look up ever so drowsy. Alice and Marco stared at each other before letting go,clearing their throats and fixing themselves up as if the hug never happened. Marco cleared his throat once more and answered Aya's question. "Yes,milady. Lord Samael and mister Giotto came by today. Something about another mission from the queen if I'm correct."Marco explained. He would've gone with his sassy terms as he would use from the very beginning,but considering that she saved Samael,Marco would let his sass for later on when given the chance. Alice couldn't help but to stare at Marco. From the Queen?Did she heard him right? Obviously Alice had missed a lot in her time out of the manor. "Er,also Lord Samael brought you this basket with flowers and chocolates."Alice said while holding up the basket. Marco glared at Alice as he raised his knee and kneed her in the butt,having her walk into the room and closer to Aya so she would properly deliver the basket. Alice glared at Marco. If lady Aya wasn't in the room she would've cursed like a sailor at him. Alice turned back to lady Aya,settling the basket on the bed in front of her. "Oh yes. I also started making breakfast~"Alice smiled innocently,even though it was obvious to anyone who knew her that anything she cooked would most likely turn into something near poisonous.

"Only Veran cooks my breakfast." Aya said simply, sitting up.

Her black scuffy hair was a mess, her face rather flushed. Aya almost looked sickly.

She took the basket, pulling it towards her and finding some of the chocolates. She unwrapped one, biting into it and finishing it off rather soon.

Alice whimpered in disappointment. "Guess I'll head downstairs and do the dishes then...~"Alice muttered. Marco scoffed a bit. "When you're done we'll see you downstairs then."Marco said as he walked away. Alice closed the door behind her and thought for a moment. "Halt."She said as she grabbed Marco by his wrist. "Maybe you,would eat my food?"Alice asked with a hopeful tone. Marco stared. "Get your hands off me you sociopath cook."Marco hissed as Alice ran downstairs to where Giotto and Samael were sitting. By the time they returned Samael had ended up taking some of the flowers from the center piece of the dining table and twisting them gently until making them into a flower crown. For being a noble he knew a lot of what Marco would consider as useless talents. Giotto was reading the reports ever so focused with all of the paperwork. "My lord,you made a flower crown again? I'm scared to leave you alone in a garden if it means you'll end up making crowns out of them."Marco muttered. Samael looked up at Marco and gave a soft smile. "Forgive me. I got distracted while waiting. I saw these flowers and thought that Aya would look lovely while wearing a crown made out of them."Samael smiled. "(Aya again.)"Marco thought as he could feel his body twitch. As the author I'm sensing a bit of jealousy out of this one. Alice kicked a chair behind Marco,making him fall on it and sit down as Alice served up three plates of what she called food,which Giotto and Marco were sure that she was just trying to poison them with something. It was gooy,green with a mix of purple,and god knows what was floating in it but it seemed almost damn near alive. "...I'm not eating this."Marco finally aid. "Ditto."Giotto muttered as they both looked down at it suspiciously. Alice was having none of it,who was looking down at them with a pissed off look,a seemingly dark aura floating around her. "It's rude to not eat at a household when you're offered food,if you're worthy of being around lady Aya you will eat it."Alice warned while she held a butcher's knife in her hand. "Oh so that's how you want to go?"Marco asked as he gave off a dark smirk,pulling off his glove to reveal an armor like weapon around his hand that would resemble a brass knuckle. A present from his father after their misunderstanding,and his new signature weapon. Having it on both hands made him only more dangerous than he already was. "Bring it,**** baby!"Alice hissed as she held the butcher's knife in her hand. Giotto hid behind the briefcase. "Oh no~"He muttered. Suddenly they were interrupted by Samael,who pushed an empty plate in front of Alice. "That was so good!~ Can I have more?"Samael asked. He...he ate it....he ate Alice's cooking. Much to Marco's dismay,who ended up screaming in terror. "MY LORD SPIT IT OUT SPIT IT OUT!"

Veran yawned a bit. How dare the two wake him and his Lady. He'd be sure to make it so Alice and Marco never woke them up so early in the morning ever again. He sighed, and stood up. He was tired, but sleep shall wait.

"Does my lady wish for her breakfast to be prepared? I shall do so immediately."

"That woulf be helpful." Aya said with a small smile, handing Veran a chocolate.

"Eat it." She urged, she standing up herself.

"Yell at Alice to get up here so I can be dressed." She demanded.

Veran nodded, and took the chocolate.

Oh, chocolate. Mortals did love their sweets. Veran popped the delicacy into his mouth, and leaned in to gently kiss Aya's forehead, "If you are still tired, my Lady, you may continue sleeping. It will take me some time to prepare."

Without a word, or further explanation, he left the room.

The scene wasn't one that Veran nor Aya would most likely expect,or want in the manor. Samael was eating Alice's food happily. Giotto was calmly reading papers within the suitcase. Alice and Marco were fighting. Alice back flipped as Marco tried to punch her with his brass knuckles. Marco punched as Alice easily dodged and jumped out of the way. As she jumped back,her feet landed against the marble column,and pushed herself forward as she spun the butcher knives around her hands. As she swung the knives,Marco slid on his knees,bending back as the knives missed his neck by seconds as Alice flew above him and Marco slid under. Alice landed on the floor and quickly rolled onto her feet as she threw the butcher knives at Marco. Marco stood up and swiftly jumped and cached the butcher knives in his hands as they flew in mid air. He smirked. "You think you can easily defeat me? Like hell you can. I'm half shinigami!"Marco laughed. Alice glared. "Anything you can do,I can do better."Alice said,making Marco stop laughing as he dropped the knives and walked closer to Alice. "I can do anything better than you."Alice hissed. Marco chuckled. "...no you can't."Marco said. "Yes I can."Alice responded,and so it went on. "No you can't." "Yes I can." No you can't!" "Yes I can! Yes I can!" Alice and Marco yelled at each other as Samael stood up from the table and picked up the flower crown. "Where's Aya?"Samael muttered with a whimper.

Aya immidently turned red in a blush, kicking Veran in the back of the leg.

"Don't do that." She snapped, throwing another chocolate at the back at his head.

Veran was already out the door before Aya could say anything else. She lay back on the bed, moving to where Veran was laying.

It was warmer there and made her feel safer.

Veran smirked as he ducked out of the way of the tossed chocolate, and eventually made his way to the kitchen. He would certainly have to do that some more. Seeing her blush and get flustered certainly pleased the somewhat sociopathic butler.

It took some time, but eventually he was tugging a cart with a prepared breakfast. Crepes and pancakes, with eggs on the side.

 

"My lovely lady?" Veran asked, pushing open the door, "I have breakfast ready."

Aya turned over, looking at Veran. Her face was still a bit red, Aya sitting up and imminently looking at her food.

"Thank you for fixing me food." She said with a smile.

Veran nodded, and presented the meal to her.

"I've prepared some crepes, pancakes, with a bit of egg and milk to help with the start of your day. M'lady looks rather flushed, are you ill?" Veran asked, intentionally exaggerating his actions as he felt her forehead.

He clucked his tongue, "My my, why you do feel rather warm.."

"You're embarrassing me Veran..." Aya muttered, taking a bite of her pancake.

It was delicious as usual.

"Why are you teasing me?" She asked.

"Because, honestly, I find it adorable. You're amazingly cute when you are fluster, my lady. Plus, seeing you get embarrassed somehow pleases me. Call me a sociopath, if you will." Veran said, nodding to the food, "Now, will you eat?"

Giotto could feel his head aching as he finally kind of snapped. "Would you two shut it?!"Giotto yelled,only to be responded with, "No! He/She is mean to me!" By both Marco and Alice respectively. Giotto sighed as he waved over for Samael. "Lord Pandora,I did manage to get some information on your mother."Giotto muttered as he pulled him over and started to read a file with him. "You see?"Giotto asked. Samael read down the file,with a worried look on his face. "Are you certain this is true...of my own mother?"Samael asked. "Yes my lord. Which would explain how she was able to do...certain stuff."Giotto muttered as he didn't want to mention the event of his own mother wanting to marry Samael while she was being still a ghost situation from last time. Samael glanced down at it. "This is troubling to find out so much later in life. But...I thank you very much for you to be able to tell me this. I guess it also explains...my interests..."Samael muttered as he hugged the file closer to him. "W-Well my lord there's no need to act like that! You'll be fine. Hahahaha~"Giotto laughed nervously. Samael settled the file back into the suitcase. "Thank you regardless...what mission does Aya have to do?"Samael asked curiously as he tilted his head. "Heh?! You forgot?! Well I guess that can't be helped. Something about..."Giotto muttered as he flipped through the pages. "...something eating children in the outskirts of a small town. Oh geez why do we need this many people for this one stupid mission we could totally like,send myself over and do it alone."Giotto groaned.

Aya nodded slightly, her finishing her meal within a couple of minutes.

"That was good, thank you Veran." She said with a smile.

She got up, tying her eyepatch on a bit loose and grabbing Veran's arm.

"Take me to see Samael. I know he is here." She said simply.

Veran sighed, "As my Lady wishes."

With some reluctance, he took her down to locate Samael. Thankfully he was near by Alice and Marco, and considering the two seemed prone to drama, they were all easy to find. Veran bowed, allowing Aya to make her way to Samael.

Alice and Marco kept yelling at each other before Alice took notice that Veran and Aya were there. "Lady Aya!"Alice said as she swiftly kneed Marco in the stomach and then gave a graceful bow to her lord. Marco gasped as he felt the color of his face flush out and fell back holding his stomach. "You bi-!"Marco was about to say as Alice stepped on him once more. These two weren't going to get along as well. Or they would end up together. Either way I ship it. Samael looked up from the table and saw Aya,his radiant smile appearing upon his features. "Aya!"Samael said as he picked up the flower crown and ran to her,throwing his arms around her as he hugged her and rubbed his head against her. "Oh look at you so cute and all when you've just woken up~"Samael squealed as he got his flower crown on her head. "I made you this out of the flowers on the table."Samael said smiling,not really seeming to mind if he had made Aya a bit uncomfortable or made himself unpredictable. "Aya,Aya."Samael said with a sheepish smile as he pointed at a badge on his outfit. It was the same symbol that the staff that Uriel had but had given to Aya. "I'm a detective now! Hehehe!"Samael said with a bright smile almost like a child who received his first good job sticker. Giotto,who had a piece of bread in his mouth,waved over at Aya. "Good morning milady. I have your paycheck and next mission right here!"Giotto waved.

Aya smiled slightly, hugging Samael back. At least Samael seemed to still have a soul.

"I am glad to see you are still doing well." She said.

Aya walked over to Giotto, holding out her hand.

"How much?" She asked, her eyes then turning to Alice.

"Alice, I am giving you permission to dress me." She demanded.

Samael smiled to receive a hug back from Aya. "I was hugged~"He squealed as Marco pulled up a chair for Samael to fall on. Giotto chuckled to himself as he pulled out a bundle fo cash,settling on Aya's hand. "100,000,000 pounds as promised. If you do another mission well then you will get another 100,000,000 more."Giotto said as he pulled out a bundle of papers. "This one you get to choose who goes and who doesn't."Giotto added. Alice squealed loudly as she was given permission to dress Aya. "YES MILADY!"Alice squealed as she ran off. But then again,this was Alice we were talking about...this wouldn't turn out as normal as anyone would think. Marco turned the chair around with Samael,and turned himself around. Giotto turned himself around. Being with Alice for five minutes have had them expect the worse out of this chick. Alice ended up dragging a very long dressing screen across the hall,wrapping it around so no one could see what was going inside. Alice held a dress and other items while smiling like a fangirl. "T-Thank you...lady Aya!"Alice smiled happily as before Veran or Aya could complain,Alice started to change Aya where she stood,the screens blocking the view from everyone else. Alice was quick ti exchange the sleeping wear to a corset and a purple and black dress. With fast precision she held Aya's hand and spun her around as she let the bow wrap around Aya's waist before stopping Aya and making the big cute bow on the back of the dress. It was obvious that Alice took pride in this as much as she did her performance back at the circus. Getting stockings and heeled boots on Aya and finally a purple hat that matched. With a kick of the screen the screen folded up back to its one piece form and Alice gave a bow while holding Aya. "Behold! The Lady of Everus!"Alice said with pride and gleam in her eyes. Giotto couldn't help but to clap a bit and hold up his fingers in the number 9. "Spotless performance."Giotto chuckled.

Aya growled at Alice, she despised long dresses.

"Get this bloody thing off me. I will dress myself." She said simply.

Aya also hated the color purple. She took her money and walked herself upstairs, getting herself dressed in a lovely pink dress with white stockings and black slip on shoes. She brushed her hair and then walked downstairs one more. Her stockings werent put on her too great and she lookes in a rush.

"Thank you for trying, Alice. You are only good at cleaning." She said simply.

Alice smiled regardless. To dress lady Aya was like a dream for her. Samael looked back and smiled. "Kawaii!!!"Samael squealed. "Yes,indeed she looks cute."Marco admitted. Giotto laughed a bit. "Well then,I'll give you the look over of what your next mission is and I'll leave you to it."Giotto said as his expression turned somewhat serious. "In a village,about an hour or two away from the city by carriage,there has been a distress call being sent. Children and adults have gone missing. Some children have been found half eaten. Police men have been sent to investigate and journalists to report,but every single one of them that has entered the village has disappeared,never to be heard from again. The villagers have put all the blame on a superstitious place that's part of the village itself. They that there's something living within an abandoned manor,and that is the reason of the disappearances. They keep insisting it's something evil within the manor itself,some referring to its original owner who abandoned it decades ago. We even sent one of our normal paranormal investigators...he's been missing for two months."Giotto said as he handed Aya papers filled with files and basic info on the village. "Your mission is to figure out what the hell is going on in Geist village. Your butler Veran is the most powerful being we have on staff,and we would like for you to take this investigation,if it interests you."Giotto said as he cleared his throat. "Of course,the queen also said that there would be a bonus included if this was to be completed."Giotto added to sweeten the deal. Samael smiled a bit. "Knowing Aya and Veran,those two will solve the crime in a matter of a day~"Samael chirped.
