Kodakliv 558 Posted August 10, 2014 I get a lot of Why do you like Ratchet and Clank so much questions it's crazy so to make it easier on everyone I will explain. I was only 10 years old when the first Ratchet and Clank game came out, and at the time I didn't have any real life friends in fact I was made fun of all the time for my weight. So I would come home from school feeling sad and depressed. Well I heard about this game where you play as a character who is a orphan and is the only Lombax in the universe. I felt like me and him share a lot of the same qualities. So I bought the first Ratchet and Clank game and was in love with the characters from the very beginning. After playing this game I made some new friends who also enjoyed the series, so life was good. Finally more Ratchet and Clanks games came out and his personality became better with each new installment. My dad actually loved Ratchet just as much as me; I mean come on! How can't you love a somebody like Ratchet? He fights for what is right and has a bit of fun too. Well in 2009 my dad passed away to a disease and I felt discouraged, I almost gave up on life because I lost my best friend and father! My dad's last birthday gift to me was a Ratchet and Clank t- Shirt underneath it said "Don't Give Up!" So in a way Ratchet and Clank is like a reminder to stay positive and that my dad wants me to be happy with life. So this is more than just a video game it's a reminder that being happy and being the hero of something much greater is all he wants out of me! So that is why I love Ratchet and Clank it's one of my favorites! 5 tlrpttmn, Oishii, Master Keeper and 2 others reacted to this
