The Wolf Among Us: Another Story (RP)

Recommended Posts

Mary used a broom to sweep up the shards of glass before throwing them into a trashcan. As she turned around she saw Peter standing there with the box of cupcakes. Just suddenly encountering Peter like that had Mary jumping back against the book case as she could feel her heart about to leap out of her chest from fear. She couldn't look at him straight,so she used her hand to cover her eyes. "T-Thank you! Set it on the counter!"Mary said as she walked over to the cash register and pulled out the promised pay. "Here,t-take it and leave!"Mary said as she settled the money on the counter and once again hid behind the counter. The infamous bloody Mary was afraid of children. Huh. Meanwhile,Sake smiled sheepishly behind her surgical mask as she scratched her cheek. "I forgot the surgical mask...truthfully she opened the door right at the wrong time. I tried to smile to be friendly but she ran off before I could explain anything."Sake chuckled at Collin as he ate his cupcake. "If she had just let me explain to her instead of running off I'm sure it wouldn't have been so bad. So don't scold me so badly,Mary already scolded me enough this morning as it is."Sake said as she rested against the wall. "I promised I wouldn't kill anyone anymore so I'm trying my best,I swear."Sake said with a slight smile as she spun her pair of scissors in her hands.

Bigby nodded at Sake, as Colin pigged out noisily behind him on his cupcake.

"I understand. Just....try not to forget it again. Speaking of your boss, she's a lot easier to get along with than that b*tch calling herself Bloody Mary who I encountered before during my time in New York. Not many people have access to that many silver bullets...."

Anna picked out another red velvet cake for Bigby. It had white frosting as he wanted, with chocolate shavings on top. "Here, just enough to share." She glanced over at Sake and made a small chuckle. "Would you like a ribbon, Sake? I have every color you can think of." She frowned upon Bigby's terrible encounter in New York. "That sounds terrible."

Sake turned over to Anna and thought for a bit. "Do you have whiskey flavor?"Sake suddenly asked with a drunk smile on her face. She glanced up at Bigby. "Well don't know of that bloody Mary but the one next door has a fear against kids! Every time Peter walks in she almost turns into stone!"Sake said as she started to laugh loudly as she thought of Mary's expression from just a few minutes ago. "I would guess she would've developed a fear against mirrors but it turns out its the annoying little brats that keep calling her name. Even when she sleeps she keeps having nightmares that she gets trapped in a daycare. If she sees Red she might as well have a heart attack!"Sake said as she laughed even harder. Sake was easily entretained to say the least. She wiped some fake tears from her eyes as she shook her head. "She's nuts."Sake said rather ironically.

Bigby took the cake Anna had picked out for him...and Red. "Well it was during a murder investigation....she was the one we were after's bodyguard...actually had to go into full wolf form to take her out. Anyway, I'd better get this to Red....probably best I let her know I'm not gonna try eating her."

Colin licked his hands clean of chocolate and snorted, "Oh! I'll come with ya!"

"Nah...I think its better if it'd just be me, given Red's and my past together. I'll be back later." Bigby smiled at his pig friend.

"Oh....ok Bigby." Colin looked a bit hurt, but was soon distracted by the sweets he was surrounded by.

Bigby walked up to Red's house, cake in its box as he knocked on the door gently. "Hey Red? You in there? Its Sheriff Bigby! Brought you something!"

Maleficent snorted softly. More little beings bumping into each other, forming their little friendships. A pity those connections would be too weak for anything meaningful. She turned to go back down the alley she had come down, to see something small, blue and red blue across the other end of the alley. The Witch stopped in her tracks, her eyes widening.

"Them?" She murmured to herself. "Here?"

She ran to the other end of the alley, using some of her conserved magic to track the creature.

"Hm?" she got up and went to the door. "I wonder who could it be."  She opened the door.

"O-Oh! Sheriff Bigby! Come in, please."  She welcomed him. "Sit on the couch if you like"

Little Red wondered why he had come here. To her house of all places.

Then, she saw the cake he brought with him.  "What the--? A cake?" she thought.

Anna rubbed the back of her head. She didn't have anything that contained alcohol. "Well I don't. I could make you some but I don't think that's a very good idea... Mary'll be mad at me too I bet." she pointed to the numerous sweets in the display case. "You can have any of these sweets." She looked over to Colin and gave him a small wave after she bid Bigby farewell. "You can hang around here if you want Colin. Just don't eat all of my goodies... In speaking of goodies, Will E. Coyote still hasn't delivered my order of supplies... oh well, I can wait longer~"

Bigby entered into Red's home, smiling at the little girl kindly. "Um...I just came to bring you this and talk to you. And uh...apologize for any differences we've had in the past. I mean...Colin and I have had our fair share of differences in the past with what happened with me and his two brothers' and their houses." Bigby blinked at her as he set the cake down on the table, "You uh....do know who I am right?" Bigby sat down.

Little Red had no words. She was confused. "What is he talking about?! she thought.

"Um... of course I know who you are. You're the Sheriff." She laughed nervously. "How I'm I not going to know who you are?"

"And if I knew you besides being the Sheriff, then I'm sorry, but I don't remember."  She took the cake to the kitchen.  "Would you like a slice of the cake?"

Sake smiled as she looked down at the pastries and goodies aglore. "Well if there's no alcohol related ones I'll take the pink strawberry one."Sake smiled as she looked down at a pink cupcake with a strawberry on the top of it. "Why couldn't Mary have a business like this one? It'd be so much better and that would mean I'd get to steal treats from her. Maybe then I'll be able to exchange my good behavior for food!"Sake laughed. "Because you are evil."Mary said as she had her eyes covered to avoid looking at Peter. She waved her free hand to feel around her and find her way into the shop without having to accidentally look at Peter, because she knew she would end up running away. "The end is nigh! A mirror broke in my shop! We have been damned! I don't know what it is yet but it means that something really bad is going happen I don't know what or when but it's going to happen within the strain of seven years!"Mary said as she bumped into Sake. Sake rolled her eyes. "You and your damn laws of the supernatural I think looking at Peter has made you scary loony in the head,Mary."Sake joked.

Peter laughed and set down the cupcakes. He frowned at Mary's going on about the end of the world. "What if you got a new mirror? Its not that big of a deal right?" He pocketed the money and walked to the door of the shop. "See ya later, hope you fix your mirror problem." He grinned and walked out sticking his hands into his hole ridden pockets.

"Just set it all in the back room and I'll look through it. Don't you have a delivery to Anna? Get going or you'll be late again." He put emphasis on again and walked further into the shop. He set the broom back against the wall and sat in an old wooden chair behind the counter propping his feet up on it.

(Jersey and Tweedle-Dee will be side characters so they won't be around for long...so I didn't sign them up.)

Bigby frowned, "Um....well....I'm sure you've heard of the big bad wolf right? Well......that's uh....who I am. So I just came here to clear things up.....give you this cake to make sure you know I'm not gonna eat you or anything." Bigby smiled at the girl.

Back in town a newcomer with glasses, red hair, and freckles, wearing suspenders and a blue short sleeve and jeans..and cowboy boots, was walking around town. His hip held a revolver in a holster on his left.

By his side was a fat short man wearing a driving hat, and carrying a shotgun, he wore a grease stained white tank top and pants, and wing tips.

"Tweedle-Dee...you'd better be right about this!" The balding red hair Jersey Devil whispered angrily to his reluctant partner in crime.

"You think I'd miss out a chance to get the mongrel who killed Dum?" Dee growled back, "Lets just ask around....intimidate the locals!"

Dee spotted Peter running around and shouted out "Hey kid! You seen a guy named Bigby Wolf around here lately?"

Anna smiled and took out the strawberry cupcake for Sake. "Here, hope ya like it! I'll be happy to pay you in food. I don't think Mary would enjoy having a bakery... children come in all the time!" she glanced over at the clock. "Ahh, I have to pick something up from the post office... Mary, Sake, would you mind hanging around here until I come back?"

Coyote grumbled to himself and set his box down in the back with a small grunt. "I got it I got it. She doesn't need it until next week. She'll live if she doesn't get it." he couldn't help but blush at the thought of her pretty face. "Keep gettin' hungry when I go to her shop. Speakin' of hungry, do ya have any raw meat I can eat?"

Peter raised an eyebrow at Dee's question, "Whats it to ya?" He knew this guy was no good and if he was bringing it here Peter surely wasn't going to be the one to help spread it around. He crossed his arms over his chest silently damning the fact that he was still a teenager.

"Maybe I will when you deliver Anna's things to her." Rafael got up to check out the new stuff leaving the door to the back room open in case a costumer walked in. He popped a piece of gum into his mouth and opened up the box. One of the objects happened to be a fairy tale book, "Hey not ironic at all." He murmured to himself sitting on the ground to take some time to open it.

Will ran a hand through his hair. "Come on. I'm hungry and I look like manure. Don't make me walk into a shop and talk to a pretty lady lookin' like this." he fixed up some of the items for sale on the shelves. "Oh, that book? Got it from some kid. Some stupid yard sale and the parents gave me some of the stuff. Stupid kid." he glanced outside to see Jersey and the Tweddle. "Shi-" he dropped a cup, breaking it. "Lovely."

And thank you so much for the cake! I really appreciate it!"  She accompanied Bigby to the door and went outside with him. "I was going to Anna's shop for some ribbons I need for a craft. So, I'll see you later, Sheriff Bigby!"  And she jogged her way to Anna's shop.

"Should have known." she thought and then smiled.

As she was close to Anna's shop, she was just around the corner, Little Red saw new faces. "New comers, I guess." she whispered.

Anna sighed as she hurried out, leaving Sake and Mary there. "Thanks for watching the shop for me~!" she bumped into Red. "Hey Little Red!" she said happily. "Would you like to come with me to the post office?"

"Oh I was.. was going to... y'know what, never mind. Of course, I'll be happy to go with you!"

She looked back at the new comers. "I wonder why there are here." she thought.

"Besides, it looks like she left the shop to Sake, and Mary. Mary. Better not go in there until I come back with Anna, if I go in there, I'll give poor Mary a heart attack.

She then snapped back to reality and accompanied Anna to the post office.

Anna smiled happily and took Little Red's hand. "Off to the post office!" she cheered.

A few minutes later, Anna led Little Red through a shortcut behind a small field next to a playground down the street. She loved going on walks, especially with Red. The walks reminded her of the walks she used to have with her older sister when she was little. "Don't you just love walks? We need to invite your granny next time. She would love it. Oh, and if you want after I pick up this package we could stop by the playground and–" She suddenly stopped right in her tracks. Right infront of her was a trail of blood. It led to a small black heap of mass up ahead in the grass. She felther stomach do flip-flops. The smell of metallic blood immediately hit her like a train. She gripped Red's hand very tight. "...-Get the S-Sherrif..."

"What ya break this time?" Rafael walked out of the back room only to see Dee and Jersey. "What are they doin here?" He wondered out loud looking out the window of his shop. He watched Dee confront the Peter boy, "Wonder if Dee is still after Bigby." He walked behind the counter and grabbed his old revolver just in case things got hairy out in the street.

Tweedle-Dee grinned at Peter , "We've got some business to settle with the big bad wolf....see...he's done some bad things....and we were sent here by some others to apprehend him."

Jersey smirked at Tweedle-Dee, "Yeah..."

Bigby blinked at Red who left like she was in a rush, however he sighed and shrugged off the feeling that she was avoiding him...and went back in town...only to be met with the sight of Tweedle-Dee and the Jersey Devil, Dee armed with a shotgun and Jersey having what appeared to be a revolver in a holster at his hip. Jersey turned to Bigby and smiled cockily. "Look who showed up!"

Bigby let a growl escape his throat, "What the hell do you two want showing up here?!"

Dee grinned at simply pointed his shotgun at Peter, "Just a little payback..s'all."

Bigby knew that the fat man wasn't above it, especially after he'd killed Dum...he'd go to any lengths to get revenge.

He ran out in front of the shotgun just as it fired a single blast. His shirt ripped open in a spray of blood, as Dee continued to unload shells into his chest...Bigby staggered back...still on his feet and beginning to change. "Peter," Bigby's voice now held a canine deep growl to it, "Run while I handle things here."

Coyote rolled his eyes at the ruckus going on outside. "Lovely. It's them Yankees from New York." he growled and grabbed his shotgun. Finally he had a reason to use it. He went outside only to see Bigby stagger back. "Oi! Y'all best be leavin' the Sheriff alone. This here shotgun makes your shotgun look like a little prissy school girl." he aimed it right at Dee. "Get the 'ell outta here before me, Raff, and Bigby beat the hell out of you."

Rafael rolled his eyes and walked out with Coyote to back him up pointing his revolver at Jersey to make sure he didn't try anything. He decided he would let Coyote do the bad mouthing and stay near the side lines for this one. He motioned for Peter to run over to him, then told him to hide out inside the shop.

Peter great-fully ran for the safety of the shop, he peaked out of the window curious as to what would happen. He didn't think the pawn shop owners would get themselves involved with something like this but he figured they had a sore spot for Dee.

Maleficent followed her quarry around. It was being irractic, which she expected from the creature. If she could just follow it back to its lair...

In her haste to follow the blue blur, she nearly ran into Tweetle Dee's back.

"Oh, you." She said sourly.

Suddenly, she brought her walking stick up and smashed it over Dee's head.

"Couldn't you have gone to give bad advice to lost girls?"

Dee glared at the two pawn shop owners, however Jersey just laughed as a green glow enveloped his body...and he transformed into a very thin grey skinned beast with antlers and a deer skull for a face and cloven hooves. "You do know that kinda crap ain't gonna work on me! You're welcome to shoot Dee here if you like!"

"Hey! That wasn't part of our agreement!" Dee shouted at the Jersey Devil.

A long thin tongue snaked its way out of Jersey's mouth, "I got my own score to settle with this pup! Screw the silver bullets! I don't need 'em to kill you!"

The monster charged at the grey furred werewolf Bigby, who stopped his charge by gripping the Devil's antlers and then slamming his foot into its spindly leg...a loud crack was heard as bone snapped out of the thin skin and Jersey toppled over onto the street...wailing in pain.

When Dee felt himself being whacked over the head by Maleficent, he glared at her. "Who the hell are you lady!?"

That was when Dee spotted the silver bullet revolver laying unprotected on the street, he lunged for it...but was hoisted up by the throat and smashed repeatedly into a brick wall...roared at by the monstrous Bigby...and let go onto the sidewalk...terrified and whimpering. "Don't...ever let me catch you two around here again!" Bigby snarled as he turned back into his human form.
