The Wolf Among Us: Another Story (RP)

Ahead on the road Anna was driving down, two figures stepped out of an alley. One was Maleficent, though she moved more confidently, and her eyes were bright. The other one was the carpenter Terra, who had a big black backpack. The witch drew back a hand, green flames sparking, but her hand was caught by Terra, who gave her a meaningful look. With that situation taken care of, he held out a hand to try to get Anna to stop.

Anna made a soft gasp and pulled the car right to a stop. She didn't know too much about Terra and the story he was from. She only knew so much from what she learned at Naminè's behaf. Anna rolled down the window, cautiously looking at the two. She didn't know if they were 'brainwashed' or whatever was going on. "Maleficent...?" Anna asked. Her eye wandered towards Terra. She knew Terra lived here, but never really talked to him much; he was so isolated from everyone.

 

Benjamin's eyes widened. He knew exactly who Terra was. "It's Terra...!" He whispered sharply to himself. The great keyblade master was here. Anna looked to the back of car. She could have sword she heard a voice. "Anyone say something?"

Little Red peeked outside. "Maleficent..." she whispered. There was someone else with her, but Little Red didn't know him.

She heard Ben say something, of course, she was next to him. "Terra?" she said. Normally, she would say hi. She loves to meet new people.

But now, she wasn't in the mood for that. She sat quietly, but she was listening attentively.

 

"I didn't say anything..." she said, answering Anna's question.

"Who else?" Maleficent answered in an annoyed tone.

"Not helping." Terra snapped at the Witch.

The carpenter gave Anna a reassuring smile.

"We haven't been taken over, if you are worried about that. We were off on a wild goose chase in the woods when-"

"We were close, you just called it off before-" Maleificent intrupted.

"Shut it!" Terra snapped again.

He let out a deep breath and scratched at his beard.

"I need to make sure some of my friends got to safety and someplace quiet for me and Mal to figure out how to strike back. Can you give us a lift?"

Anna nodded quickly, ignoring Maleficent's comment for now. "Hurry!" She unlocked her car so the duo could come inside. "One of you will have to sit in the front seat and sit in the backseat." She sighed stressfully once she looked over to Ben. "Sir, um..." She was unsure what to call Terra. "This boy here is a mundy. He's deaf and his mother got murmured by a Fable. It's a really long story but Maleficent knows most of it."

 

Benjamin looked at Terra from the window in slight awe despite the situation. When he was younger, he always wanted to be just like Terra because of his strength and noble personality despite the trouble he got himself into in the events of Birth by Sleep. He looked to his bookbag that was on his lap. He had his PSP with him. 'Is this even real...?' He thought to himself.

Terra quickly opened the front door and started to get in, but stopped. He got out and jerked his thumb to Maleficent, indicating she should take the front seat. The Witch smirked and took the seat as Terra stepped out of the way.

"You don't trust me with children?" She teased.

"Nope." He said as he got in the back.

Terra caught Benjamin looking at him. He tried to give him a reassuring smile as both he and Maleficent closed the doors to the car.

Benjamin felt like he just met Batman. He sat in the middle and he didn't really mind. He took out his notebook and wrote down in it. He showed what he wrote to Terra. 'I'm Benjamin. Are you Terra from Birth by Sleep?' He glanced over to Maleficent, and then down at his arms. The flame like scars all over his arms were still there and still green. He didn't mind though. It didn't hurt and it looked kinda cool.

 

Anna couldn't help but give a light chuckle at the scene. She started to drive off, and kept looking around for at least someone she knew. She drove slowly at first around some blocks; she didn't want to waste any more gas. This area was like a ghost town which was a semi good thing. "He only understands sign language and lip." She smiled over to Maleficent. "Naminè healed the burns from your flames earlier. Bigby decided to not wipe his memory right now since we all feel bad for him."

"Foolish." Maleficent said sourly. "A Mundy in our midst is only a danger to us and him. We would have been better off with out the extra burden."

Terra was rather relieved The Witch had said that with her face away from Benjamin. From what he heard, this boy had suffered enough, already.

"Yes." He answered Benjamin, careful to remain facing the boy. "You played all three stories yet?"

Anna frowned. Maleficent had a point; it was dangerous for Ben and the Fables, however she didn't think he was a burden. "He's not a burden." She said, looking to Maleficent with a minor glare. "It is partially your fault he's here. If you didn't burn him by accident He wouldn't have known we were Fables and Bigby might've wipped his memories." She really didn't mind having Ben around. There was hardly any kid Fables and now Little Red had a boy her age that she could talk to. "It's our kind who killed his mom most likely, whoever did it."

 

Benjamin nodded excitedly. With Terra here, he felt much more safer. He jotted down some more words in his book so Terra could understand what he was trying to say. 'That's so cool! And yup. All of the stories. I couldn't beat Vanitas' Remnant or Mysterious Figure though... It's impossible.' He took out his PSP. Luckily the battery was on 15%.

Xion scowled."...revenge is not worth it. It never is. So give up on the concept - Judgement will take them in. There will be no reason to murder them." She weighed her gun silently for a moment. "...you can't turn back the clock. Once you kill someone, they are gone. And there's nothing you can do."----------------------------- "I didn't. She never stopped by Heartseeker's - I know she's dead though." Namine said, slipping onto the main highway.

Her lips made an unhappy gesture.She had nothing to say."I wonder if this is Zuri's undoing"

Namine sighed softly. "I really don't know. I really don't...all I know is I'm really, really happy you're safe and I could hug you right now."

Blush creeped into her cheeks, the stripper turning off and stopping. "And there's our guide."

Kayle was standing there, arms crossed. She walked over, and Namine lowered the window.

Kayle thrusted a PDA. "Follow the GPS."

 

She took flight, leaving Namine blinking. "...well there went the moment..."

"And if our beloved sheriff had been better with his nose, he would have realized the boy was there all along." Maleficent snapped.

She glanced back briefly at Benjamin.

"His burns, while unusual, could have been treatable by potions I could put together, but i wasn't asked. Don't blame me for your own poor decisions."

"Enough." Terra said, looking up at Maleficent.

His voice was full of authority, like he was use to being obeyed.

"If you want to point figures, do it after we have dealt with this problem."

Maleficent was silent for a moment, she then chuckled.

"Careful, Terra." She said. "Your Xemnas is showing."

Terra ignored this comment and gave Benjamin an apologetic smile.

"Sorry about that." He said. "Anyway, I never made it to Vanitas's Remnant or Mysterious Figure in either the game or in my own journey. I think Aqua might have, though."

His smile faultered for a moment when he mentioned Aqua, but he recovered swiftly.

Namine sighed softly. "I really don't know. I really don't...all I know is I'm really, really happy you're safe and I could hug you right now."Blush creeped into her cheeks, the stripper turning off and stopping. "And there's our guide."Kayle was standing there, arms crossed. She walked over, and Namine lowered the window.Kayle thrusted a PDA. "Follow the GPS." She took flight, leaving Namine blinking. "...well there went the moment..."

She raised an eyebrow."Ok...That was useful...Anyway what's our plan with the guy we're going to meet?"

"You didn't show up to my house when I asked you to. Naimine did." Anna suddenly huffed and quieted down after Terra put his input on the subject. He was right. Besides, Anna didn't need this extra stress driving. She somewhat sucked at driving already.

 

Benjamin sort of just sat there. He didn't hear Terra's tone of voice obviously but the way he looked sparked a small feeling of fear. Terra looked very intimidating... And dark. He glanced over to his now best friend Little Red for help momentarily. After Terra looked back at Ben, he gave a nod. 'Oh I see. That makes sense... Where's Aqua and Ventus?'

Because she was paying no attention to what the others were saying, Little Red was falling asleep.

But once Terra spoke, she jumped on her seat with eyes wide open. The moment Ben glanced at her, she did as well.

"Your Xemnas is showing?" she thought. She got closer to Ben and held his arm, making sure Terra didn't notice.

"He better not hurt Ben."

Benjamin felt Little Red take his arm. Inside he felt much more safer knowing that Little Red was with him. He still trusted Terra though. He believed Terra was a good person. Even Maleficent. She did after all expressed some sort of guild when she first burned him. But was there still darkness inside of Terra's heart? If Terra is here, where's Xeahnort? Vanitas? What about the other fairytale villans other than Maleficent?

Terra's smile faulered again and he looked away from Ben for a moment.

"I don't know where they are." He said, after he looked back at the boy. "I've been looking for them for a while."

He glanced at Little Red. He could tell she was wary of him. Not that he could blame her. He didn't even consider himself that trustworthy.

With her face away from Terra, Maleficent smirked slightly. His devotion to his friends was a powerful lever to move him with. This little reminder of that might keep him under her thumb longer.

Benjamin looked down for a moment. He felt guilty for bringing it up. He figured that everyone had a happy ending since they were here. He guessed not. 'I'm sorry.' He wrote. 'I know you'll find them someday. You have to.'

 

Anna kept checking up on Little Red though her mirrors. She wanted to know that the poor girl was okay. She'd die if anything happened to her. Anna couldn't help but give a glance over to Maleficent too; she was rather cautious of her. She wanted to believe that everyone changes coming here, especially Bigby but it looks like the old witch was up to something no good again. Was there something she was going to Terra? The smirk was the red flag.

"And that's what I'm trying." Terra told Benjamin. "In the end, all you can do is try."

After a moment of staring blankly, Terra looked out the font of the car.

"Any word on who's still alright?" He asked Anna.

Benjamin frowned. He felt bad for Terra. As he looked to the front, Benjamin turned his attention towards Little Red. He began to write in his notepad. Maybe they could play a little drawing game later. 'Do you trust him?' He asked in the notepad. 'I know a bit about him... I could tell you if you want.'

 

Anna slowly shook her head, trying to ward off the incoming stress. She was driving so long in silence she didn't realize why she was driving in the first place. "I have no idea..." She muttered with a frown. "Right now everyone here is the only people I know for sure... Naminè and a few others might be okay but I haven't talked to them in a while."

(I'm back! Kinda...) 

 

Little Red couldn't sleep anymore. Then, Ben passed her the notepad. She read it, and wrote back. 

 

"Should I trust him? And it's okay. I don't really want to know about him." 

It's not that Little Red was being mean or anything, but with what has been happening, she just didn't want to meet new people.

"They should be fine, unless they've tried some heroics." Maleficent said flatly.

"Don't knock heroics, Mal." Terra said, an amused smirk appearing on his face. "You'll be trying some later."

The Witch snorted.

"Yes, yes, yes. A humorous turn of events." She said in a weary tone. "Did you find it?"

Terra pulled off his back pack, accidentally bumping into Benjamin as he did.

"Sorry." He apologized.

With the back pack now in front of him, Terra fished into it, then pulled out an old metal arm guard, colored with faded browns and oranges.

"It was right where I hid it." He said, somewhat absently.
