Little Red went over to Ben, and carefully placed the rag (with ice) on Ben's burns.

Benjamin winced and made a small whimper in responce to the pain. After a few seconds however, the ice felt extremely good on his arms. It felt much better for the time being however the magic in the enchanted flames didn't weaver one bit. Maleficents flames were the strongest enchanted fire in all of the Fable community, so just a small burn could prove dangerous especially for a mundy since mundies are much easier to kill than Fables.

Sake felt her heart lighten of the tension as her legs shook and she let herself drop right next to one of the cop cars. "Ah thank the red queen,Bigby trained you guys so well...!"Sake said as she breathed a sigh of relief. The fact that the hunters or whoever they were,they knew who she really was. The slit-mouth woman from japan urban legend. As one of the  men was slashed down,blood splattered on the ground as the man fell on his knees and to the side,quickly bleeding out. The other one was thrown to the side the crossbow wielder was shot right where the heart would be,blood splattering everywhere as it fell on the remaining member. The masked man gently stood up as he looked around. His other two partners were dead. He was surrounded. They had seemed to fail their mission,or so it seemed. The remaining man slowly reached for the bottle that rested on his hip,and within a split second he swung it,opening it and spilling its contents around him and on the bodies of his partners. Before they could shoot,two great,diabolic looking wings spread across his back,ripping the back part of the cloak as the wings spread to be almost twice as big as the man himself. With a flap of the wings he dashed into the air,quickly reaching a rather incredible height for a matter of a second. As he took out a lighter and clicked it on,dropping it below. The moment it made contact with the liquid he had spread,flames came alive,spreading over the bodies and everywhere the liquid had managed to touch. It was gasoline! These hunters...weren't human. The winged man dodged the bullets of the officers below,swiftly moving across the sky as he took out his own artillery,sticky bombs. He threw them onto the cars,to which they quickly exploded. Admist the chaos he had created he flew down through the smoke. With the wind at his favor,he picked up Sake right from where she sat,flying high into the air as Sake screamed. She was afraid of heights I think. Slumping Sake over his shoulder,the man threw what it seemed to be a card to the floor before flying off into the clouds of the night with a screaming Sake. As the card fell on the floor,it was visible what it was. It was an Ace of Spades.

The clouds meant nothing. Sake's screams were all that was needed to track them, and as the monster winged it's way, the sound of what could be a lightsabre was heard. Coming from the clouds was a mechanized angel, her blonde hair whipping in the wind. She wielded a sword that was ablaze with a blue-white energy, and a ball of what could be described as some form of Kamehameha was charged.

"Your reckoning has arrived, monster." The bolt was fired, tracking the monster. If hit, the creature would feel it's senses slow, it's movements impeded. It also would hurt like hell.

 

"Judgement comes on swift wings." Kayle, Director of Judgement, dived down fast, aiming to behead the monster and grab Sake. Kayle had been watching for awhile, waiting. Now it was her time to strike.

Looks like an aerial battle had started over Sake.

Sake was hysterical as she could feel her entire body tremble as she cried with a face similar to when Russia cried in that one episode of Hetalia. "I am so f*cking done I don't wanna live here anymore I'm moving to Canada,nothing bad ever happens in CanadaaAAHHH!!!"Sake complained as she screamed,the man flying higher. He had to go on. He had to keep the act going on until the backstage was ready for him to end the show. Seeing the bolt,the hunter let it get as close to him as possible until he quickly turned around in the last second,using Sake as a human shield and propping her up in front of him as the bolt hit her instead of the intended target. Sake screamed as her hair fuzzed and spiked,slight smoke coming from the surface of her body as the bold did its damage. She could feel the pain spread across her body,and just as the pain arrived,all feeling of her body left her. She couldn't move,impended from movement as she felt the world around her slow down. At least that's how it was in her mind due to the bolt's side effect. Her head bobbed up and down,back and forward as she had confused eyes. "...I hate flying."Was all she said as the hunter glanced up at the director come straight at him. He was about to use Sake as a human shield once more until there was a sudden surprise much to everyone's dismay. In the distance,a large and bright red flare was launched. Somewhere,somehow,in the middle of the wilderness that surrounded Fabletown. It was bright enough for them to see. It was bright enough for him to see. It was time. He had done his part. The hunter lowered Sake down,loosing her grip as he stared at the director straight in the eyes just as the blade contacted with the hunter's neck. The hunter's head was cleanly sliced off from the body by the director,blood splattering all over the place as the majority fell on Sake,who had been under the hunter's grip right before being passed onto the director's. Sake looked down at her hands to see the hunter's blood. She wasn't afraid of it. But she was hysterical. She knew that if she didn't get rid of the blood soon,her bad habits would come again. Even now in the desperation,the sight of the blood made her crave for it,to drink it in a glass like she used to do. She didn't want to go back to do that again. She seemed to hold her head,tightly grabbing her hair and lightly pulling it as if to release stress. "GET ME DOWN GET ME DOWN!!!!"Sake finally screamed as she continued her kicking of the feet,desperately wanting to not only get to the safeness of land,but wanting to wash off the blood before she lost her sanity again over it. Unknowingly to the police,while this spectacle happened and attracted their attention,the back stage performers had made a show of their own and were long gone,only leaving the aftermath within Mary's shop.

Namine stopped petting Cherry long enough to check.

"We need to speed up, it seems to be getting worse."

 

Gripping the woman, Kayle dived downwards, casting Divine Blessing on the hurting Sake.

"Calm down." She landed in the street, her two assistant directors rushing over. One passed a blanket, another dumped water over Sake's hands, rinsing the blood off.

"Are you okay?" Lily asked, leaving Arthur to keep watch.

Sake looked up. She didn't care if her mouth scars were showing by this point. She was in a wrecking panic. "Ok? OK?! I just got listed up fifty feet in the air and then,bam,then the blood! Then the crossbow!"Sake hysterically scrambled to find the right words as she used hand movement and sound effects to describe her experience,even though they had all been there to experience it. After around five minutes of frisson,Sake finally came to a stop,her adrenaline leaving as the fight-or-flight response went into its resting state. Sake dropped her arms and stared into space. "...I'm fine."She finally said,her voice calm and rather peaceful,though there was a hint of nervousness in her voice as her hands twitched,still nervous. She blinked a few times before looking around her. Four mysterious men dead. All because of her? Something didn't add up. She wasn't that special. It made her want to puke. She hadn't seen this much death around her ever since she retired from her position as a serial killer. Now within a 48 hour time span there are five deaths if you include Alice. "Did these men killed Alice too?"Sake asked,wondering if maybe this was just a gang of fables targeting women by any chance,and that Alice and herself had gotten tangled within their encounters. She glanced down at the watery blood that fell from her hands and fingertips. "...is everyone else ok?"Sake suddenly asked. What if these men had also aimed for the rest,like Anna,or little red? She would be on her way running to see if they were alright if it wasn't for the fact that she was in such a state of shock that she found it difficult to decide to just run. She didn't want to run off,not alone,she didn't wanted to be alone. Not for a while now. "I want to go home."Sake said as she gripped the blanket tightly. "I want to go home!"Sake demanded. She wanted to go with Mary. She wanted to apologize to her for behaving badly,and for not listening to her when Mary had warned her about the bad omens. She just wanted to go back into her room and cry if anything.

The younger of the two officer, seemingly starstruck by the display of fighting prowess, stayed by Sake and the others. The older of the two, a larger and balding haired man with flecks of gray in his scraggly beard, grabbed the radio out of the car and reported in to Bigby.

The radio clicked on again, Bigby picked up. "Sake is safe, Judgement came just in time"

 

Bigby smirked, "Good to hear." He hung up the receiver and turned to Xion.

"Seems my bosses are fast." She said. "We better start checking on Fables..."

After Namine was done texting, and was about to continue petting Cherry (She liked it, it was fun) her phone rang. Sighing, she picked it up.

"Namine. It's xion."

"Hey."

"Watch your back. Someone's targeting Fables and you could be next. Be careful."

The call ended, Namine frowned. "Miss Cherry? How much farther is it?"

 

 

Arthur and Lily disappeared, probably heading to retrieve their vehicles and go patrol. Kayle turned to the officers. "Make sure she gets home." Her mechanical wings set into takeoff position. "I'll be watching the skies."

With a hum and an almost jet engine noise, but quieter, she took flight.

Namine bit her lip. "I don't know." She rummaged in her purse. "In any case, here." She handed two cards over. "One's the address for the club I work at, Club Heartseeker. The other is a voucher. It's a free pass to my private room. I...it's all I can pay you with, for your kindness." She actually blushed. "...and for letting me pet you. it was fun."

Namine made to go. "Thanks again."

Sake glanced at Bygby's officers as they offered her a ride home. "Actually,can we walk? It's not that far from here."Sake insisted. Maybe walking would help her calm down. She never did like public transportation of any kind. The movement made her nauseous and quickly sick. Sake walked with the officers,still hanging onto the blanket she was given. Sake smiled at Bigby's officers,even as her smile looked scary due to her scars,it was notable that it was a sweet yet scared smile. "Thank you very much,for escorting me home."Sake muttered. She still remembered her manners,and in the very far back of her mind she kind of wished she was rescued by that cute partner that Bigby had. But she digressed. They reached the entrance of the shop. Lights turned off as expected,Mary usually went to bed this early. "W-Would you like to come in? Mary would have a lot of questions once she sees me getting escorted by the police...besides I think I forgot my keys again."Sake muttered as she knocked on the door,but with a single knock the door swung open slowly with the squeaky sound mysterious doors made. "...It's open? That can't be right,she locks this place super tight to not let the bad auras in."Sake muttered. "Maybe she fell asleep waiting for me?" She opened the door fully as she walked inside. "Mary? Mary I'm sorry I'm late you won't believe what just happened."Sake said as he saw a shadowy figure sitting on the velvet chair that Mary usually sits at to read fortunes to her clients. "...Mary?"Sake asked as she flicked the lights on. She'd come to regret that as she was received by a grim sight that she would never forget. On the velvet chair sat Mary. However,her skin,hair and clothes were gone. She had been skinned and whatever was left was settled to rest on the velvet chair. As the chunk of skeleton and muscles sat,the white velvet chair was drenched in red as the fabric absorbed the liquid,a pool of blood covering around a four feet diameter from the chair as the wood absorbed the blood and sucked it into its being like a sponge to water. On the table that resided in front of the corpse were two cards. One was one of Mary's tarot cards; it was the card number 13,Death. Right next to it was a card rather similar to the one the man had dropped when he tried to take Sake away. However it was an Ace of Hearts. It was like something out of a horror movie. Sake didn't even had the energy,or the concious to scream out of horror. Her heart ached and just couldn't handle it anymore. Just like that,Sake's vision blurred as she fainted on the floor,tears falling down her face. Fabletown seemed to have been struck by something much bigger than a bad omen,and it's exclusively targeting Fables.

In the darkness of the secret room in the unknown location,spun a lively dressed man to the beat of the music box he had playing on the tabletop. As the ballerina spun on the music box he spun along while humming the tune,trying to imitate her. The room had tables,a shelf with many small drawers,mannequins,needles,threads,fabric,all of the materials as it seemed to be a place where clothing was created. As the music slowly came to a stop the man went ahead and started to pull the trinket on the back of the music box,readying it to play again. "If only she had married me she'd still be alive."He muttered under his breath as the music played again. He hummed and began to dance again,but was interrupted by an expected visit from some hunters. They wore the same uniforms as the ones that died trying to get Sake. So these individuals were big in numbers,it seemed. "Did you bring it?"The man asked as he kept spinning. One of the hunters brought out a big traveling freezer and settled it on one of the tables. The man clapped his hands and leaped at the table,landing right in front of it as he opened the freezer. He smiled at its contents. "Beautiful!"The man exclaimed as he pulled out the skin. It was Mary's skin. He glanced at a picture of Mary,where she wore her best dress,hundreds of years ago. "She'll be a beautiful living doll!" And with that the man let go of the skin and began to spin again,laughing in glee as his gloves got were tainted in blood.

Arthur turned away, covering his mouth. Lily ran out, the sounds of vomiting following. Arthur took his phone out and called Xion.

"Send Kayle to Bloody mary's. Do not come here. Send Bigby, but don't come. It's sickening and Lily is already vomiting."

 

Xion hung up. "Bigby. Go to Bloody Mary's. It's bad, if Lily is throwing up. I'll wait here. Kayle will meet you."

Arthur turned away, covering his mouth. Lily ran out, the sounds of vomiting following. Arthur took his phone out and called Xion.

"Send Kayle to Bloody mary's. Do not come here. Send Bigby, but don't come. It's sickening and Lily is already vomiting."

 

Xion hung up. "Bigby. Go to Bloody Mary's. It's bad, if Lily is throwing up. I'll wait here. Kayle will meet you."

 

Bigby went pale, and turned to go, but stopped and turned to Xion. "Feel free to take over the interrogation...you have access to all the evidence and case file. And that Giotto guy has to be involved somehow, given that it all got worse after we called him. Can't be a freaking coincidence." With that, Bigby Wolf left in his car for Bloody Mary's, speeding off.

Zuri played with his large bunny ears as he sat in the interrogation room. He was getting hungry,and the water provided to him wasn't exactly the most filling thing in the world. He could hear footsteps of someone running off from outside the hallway,his ears were sensitive enough to sense that. But he didn't know who. The room was sound proof so that he couldn't hear anything from the outside. "(Giotto,I hope our allebi will be enough for them to f*ck off.)"Zuri thought as he got his hands in his pocket and pulled out his pocketwatch. It's ticking was all that could be heard within the silence of the room. "...It's late."Zuri muttered. It was very late at night. Almost one in the morning. He sighed and got his pocket watch back inside his pocket. He stood up and walked over to the one side glass as he tapped on it. He didn't know who was behind the glass,as he couldn't see,but he hoped someone was there to hear him. "Um,excuse me,I'm hungry..."Zuri muttered as he then crossed his legs. "And I really need to pee."Zuri said truthfully.

Giotto glanced at the clock. "Tik Tok,it's getting late."Giotto hissed. He wasn't much of a sleeper anyways. He picked up his coat and wrapped it around him as it would be a chilly night within the city. The scenes that they had to take for the show were set in the park at night,so they had to reschedule so they wouldn't have people nor the sun to disturb them. Just before he left there was yet another knock at his window. Another fluffy bird. "HIGI."It chirped as Giotto opened the window and let it in. Like the last one it had a note attached to it. Reading it,the note said 'SHOULD BE READY BY TOMORROW NIGHT'. Giotto smiled as he took the note and wrote something on the back of it,reattaching it to the bird. "Thank you. Here,for the trip."Giotto said as he gave the bird a treat,which it gratefully ate before flying off. Giotto was a smart lad. He knew cellphone calls could be traced,so birds were used as communication between him and his contracts instead. He pressed a button which made the fire in the fireplace die down and got his own yellow bird to sleep in its gilded cage. "See you after work." With that Giotto walked off to work.

By the time Sake had woken up she had already been put in one of the police cars with a blanket over her. As she glanced outside the window of the car she could see how the police had already taped off the entrance and surrounding area of it until Bigby could get there. Others were scouting the nearby streets for any signs of the perpetrators. It was a living nightmare. "This has to be a dream,right?"Sake muttered as she stood up from the police car. She didn't want to see Mary in that state again,but she also wanted to check that maybe this was all a dream. She reached for a pin on her dress and with it pinched herself until her finger started to bleed. She felt tears starting to build up. The only person who she had in common with,and actually was able to handle Sake's crazy attitude,was dead,and Sake felt guilty. "It isn't a dream...it's all my fault,if I haven't gone drinking,I would've been there to protect her..."Sake sobbed as she fell back in the car,sitting as she cried. What the hell was going on around here in Fabletown?

Little Red was sleepy, very sleepy. "Anna, it's late already. I think we'll have to wait until tomorrow." 

She went over to the couch, and was ready to fall asleep. But Ben..... She looked at him. "Ben, if you want me to stay awake with you, just tell me and I will."

Little Red was willing to stay awake a bit more if he wanted to.

Benjamin shook his head. He was getting tired himself too, and he didn't want to keep Little Red from sleep any further. He went over to his little bed on the floor, and patted Little Red's bed. Anna frowned at the scene. "You both should go to sleep... If Naminè or Maleficent happens to show up later I'll just wake the both of you's up alright? Try to get some sleep."

Little Red went over to her little bed, it was close to Ben's. She laid down and looked at him.

"G-Good night, Ben."

She then looked at Anna. "Good night, Anna."  

"BUT... if you are going to wake him up, wake me up too!"

As Bigby drove, he opted to call Anna as well as Raff and Coyote, as well as one of Namine and Xion's pals....Sora...who ran a restaurant with his best buddy Riku. It was to be a party line, where he'd inform them all.

 

And warn them at the same time.

 

Sora was napping in the little living area he and Riku had set up for themselves in the back of the restaurant. Sora sleepily reached for the phone and held it up to his mouth and ear, "W-we're closed pal."

"Alright everyone on the set!" Called one of the cast members. As much annoyance it was to be out in the cold like this to take a scene for the most popular show on TV for the past year,known as Once Upon A Fairy Tail,which ironically was about a human detective who had to deal with investigations concerning the human world and the supernatural world,making sure to keep a balance between the two. Giotto had been hired as the part of the protagonist,already popular as he was,the moment episode one aired it was as if a bomb had gone off,everyone loving this new actor and the part he played so well. Giotto glanced back down at the script. "I hate night scenes."He muttered. "I know,we all do. Achoo!"One of the other actors said before sneezing. "By the way,how's that book going? I heard it sold off so quickly more had to be reprinted because it was demanded. What was it about again?"The actor asked. "It was a novel about a child who becomes a god by accident." Giotto smiled. "Really? I think I might as well give it a read too."The actor muttered. "You flatter me,but right now I'm focusing on a mystery novel I'm writing."Giotto chuckled. "Writing another one already? Can I ask what it's about?"The actor asked as they both laughed. "It's about a hunter...who hunts down fairy tale beings,as in this world they're evil."Giotto muttered. "That sounds insane...I like it." They laughed again. "Boys,in position!" The two actors shrugged as they got ready into position for their scene. After this Giotto had to attend the Zuri matter. Though he hoped that what his hunters had done would've distracted the police force enough for them to forget all about Zuri,or atleast,count him innocent. "Alright,this is the scene where the detective goes to confront his fiancee,only to find out that she's the princess of the werewolves...ready...set...action!"

Just when he thought the shift was over he got a phone call that there had been another murder,and this time it was Mary. Blue ended up driving all the way as far as the police cars would let his own car settle. He got out of the car and hurried over to the scene. "I'm Fabletown's mortician,I was called over to give my first opinion on the body before it falls apart."Blue said as he showed his I.D. Mary's body had been skinned,and he needed to take photos and give opinions before they moved the body. He feared that the body might decompose by the time Bigby got to inspect,or that it would fall apart on the way to the morgue,so he needed to be there. Blue turned to see Sake standing with her eyes red from the tears she had shed. "Sake you're ok. I heard you were chased,I'm glad you're fine."Blue mentioned. Sake sniffled. "...Do you think she was killed by her past? We both were killers before we moved to the human world to start new lives...do you think we'll be killed because of our past mistakes?"Sake asked,worried. Blue shook his head. Anna nodded. "Don't worry, it will!" Once Bigby called Anna, she picked up the phone immediately. "Hey." She said. "Benjamin is not doing so well... Did you find anything on who could have killed his mother?"

Bigby heard Anna pick up the phone, "Anna, Sora...listen to me. Alice has been murdered, someone tried to kidnap Sake tonight, and judging from the nature of the call and where I'm heading.....s-someone may have gotten Mary too. I have Raff or Coyote picking up on the other end of this call soon...but I wanted to tell you both first since you both picked up sooner. Anna I want you to lock all the doors and windows where you're at....keep some sort of weapon close-by....same to you Sora. Do NOT answer the door for anyone, understand? I've called some additional Fabletown officers to both of your locations, ask them for a password that I'm going to give you before letting them in. Password will be wolf."  

Sora was sitting upright in his bed now, hardly believing what he was hearing....Alice....Mary....murdered. Fables being hunted....and that included him and Riku....but Riku was away from town so Sora was all alone in this big restaurant...running things by himself....and goofing up sometimes.

Little Red was awaken. She saw Anna with the phone. "Ah. Anna, is Namine coming already?" 

She tried to whisper since she thought Ben was already asleep. "Anna... who was it? What happened?"  Little Red sat up.

"Anna?" 

 

She heard police cars pass by at full speed. "...what...happened?" she said.
