Coyote growled as he watched the scene unfolded. He didn't even get a chance to shoot, or turn Coyote to help out Bigby and it's already over. The usual. That prick. "Ahh, it's nice to see you already got this under control, Sheriff." he muttered as he turned right around to go back in the Pawn Shop. "By the way, Jersey, I hope you don't break anything once you're back at your crappy Pawn." he went right inside the shop and slammed the door. He didn't even care if Rafael decided to stay outside or not. 'Freaking prick....'Meanwhile, Anna is terrified. She slowly let go of Little Red's hand before she went forward to see what was in the grass. She hoped to God it was just a dead animal. There in the grass was the body of a dead woman; a mundy woman at that. It looked like she got ripped apart by some sort of animal... a wolf. She smacked her hand right over her mouth, and reached down to her phone. "R-Red, don't come any closer!" she cried. She whipped her phone right out and called Bigby's number.

Once Dee and Jersey had ran off and the silver revolver had been confiscated by Bigby, Bigby received the call. "Where are you?" He asked Anna through the cell phone.

Maleficent knelt down beside Dee and brought a finger to his cheek. A spark of green flame appeared on her nail and burned a line on Dee's cheek.

"Just an old hag." She answered him. "And she's advising you to follow the wolf's advice. To. The. Letter."

She smiled nastily at him, then stood up and grinned at Bigby.

"I has been awhile, Bigby." She greeted, smartly steeping away from the surviving Tweedle brother.

Anna's tears could already be heard though the phone. "H-Help..." she whispered. "B-Bigby, there's a person here.... dead.... a mundy.... It looks like a animal ripped her apart... a hungry wolf..." she turned around away from the body, fighting her urge to vomit. The smell and the sight just drove her crazy. Back at Arendelle, she wasn't really used to seeing such gory bloody scenes. "I have Little R-Red with me... please hurry."

Bigby answered her quietly "On my way, don't touch anything or let Red see it." Bigby said before hanging up and sighing, he looked over at Maleficent. "Yeah...it has been awhile. I wish I could stay and catch up but...ya know....duty calls." 

 

When he got to the playground next to the field he smelled it with his keen wolf sense of smell....the smell of blood. 

 

He approached Anna and Red and patted Anna on the shoulder once he spotted the torn apart mundy woman. "I'll call a cab for you both..." he whispered in Anna's ear.

Anna pulled Red into a hug. Her heart was beating rapidly inside her chest. "Sheriff...." she muttered. "What happens if the mundy police comes here?" she glanced over the dead body once more and immediately looked away. She wouldn't be able to eat any more after that most likely. "I-I want to help you but I don't want to leave Red alone..." she muttered. She jumped suddenly. Nearby, in the bushes, some rapid rustling could be heard, followed by some footsteps running away.

Peter walked out of the pawn shop and back out onto the street, "Hah you sure scared him didn't ya?" He grinned up at maleficent. He watched Bigby run off, "when your fightin crime you got no time" he giggled at his own lame rhyme. "Wonder whats going on now."

 

Rafael watched Coyote and sighed walking in after him. "What was that about?" he pointed out toward the street. "You know we shouldn't be getting involved in stuff like that." He placed his revolver back into it's rightful drawer and leaned against the counter to confront Coyote.

"I just gave him advice, Peter." Maleficent told Peter, though her mind was on Bigby. "I'm guessing someone has died. From what I have heard of the new Bigby, he tends to follow such scents."

The Witch smiled unpleasantly.

"And not for food, even."

"I know, Raff. Believe me, I know...." he muttered aggravatingly. He was on edge lately. Well, he was mostly on edge but this time there was something different. It got underneath his skin. He looked over to his friend. "Look, all I wanted to do was get some action. Nothing ever happens in this damn town... I thought maybe I'd be able to I dunno shoot my shotgun finally or even go Coyote." he grumbled. "Which is impossibly because that damn Sheriff is here to save the frickin' day. He thinks he's such a big hotshot. I'm sick of that."

"If they do we're going to have to make sure EVERYONE keeps it on the down low. And-" Bigby jolted as he heard the rustling and footsteps running away. He growled, "Whoever it was....stuck around to watch?" 

 

Bigby leaned down to the body and began examining it.

She wondered why Anna didn't let her see what was going on. She moved a bit to the side, and was breathless. Little Red was frozen. "Blood." she whispered. "B-Blood, that's blood." she said in a nervous voice. 

Anna told her to not get any closer, but she just took a peek. A woman. She was ripped apart. Her blood flowed on the grass towards them. The Sheriff was inspecting the body. 

The smell got to her. Her stomach flipped. Her vision went blurry. And right there next to Anna, Little Red passed out.

Anna held Little Red close. She almost freaked out once she felt Little Red's body grow limp. "Red! Little Red!" she stood up and carried her in her arms. "She passed out..." she muttered. "I need to take her home..." on the body, was some burnt residue from cigarettes. Huff N' Puffs.

Bigby looked at the torn apart mundy woman's body, he noticed the burnt residue. And noticed the cigarette nearby, "A Huff N' Puff.....that's my brand" He said quietly. 

 

He examined the body further...finding that the blood was still fresh and wet. "Means that those footsteps we heard....were probably the killer...but I couldn't just leave them here alone." He looked over at Red and Anna. 

 

He stood back up and looked over at the blood trail that led into the grass, then back at the messily torn apart woman. "These definitely are canine bites...of some kind.....hard to tell if they're wolf bites though." He muttered.

 

Bigby wandered over to Red and Anna, "Red was alone in her house....Please take her home, and I'd suggest maybe spending the night with her....I'll see to it that your store is locked up." Bigby nodded.

Sake and Mary sat down in Anna's shop. "Like Peter said,if your mirror broke we can get you a new one and the world would be saved right?"Sake asked as she played with her scissors. "That's not the point. Just because a mirror is replaced it doesn't mean crap. Haven't you ever heard of superstition? We're all based and led by such in this paradox of time and space. It goes along with fate. Now it conquers us even more as we live in a world surrounded by humans that in their beliefs we are nothing but fairy tales and children's tales that children imagine right before going to sleep or just for a scare. I've never,EVER broken a mirror Sake! The spheres have started to show dull images,the flowers are starting to die out on their own regardless the bright sun shinning above! There's something more,I just know it! You have to believe me!"Mary insisted as she was shaking like a chihuahua in a shopping mall. Sake stopped playing with the scissors,staring at them as she glanced at their gleam. "I believe you. Your instincts haven't been proven wrong. But we have to remember we now live in the human world where we must live by the base of logic and knowledge. Even as creatures that we aren't meant to be here in the first place,we need to consider our surroundings and wonder,is it one of us,or someone or something outside of our control?"Sake muttered as she used her scissors to point at Mary's throat suddenly. Mary stared solemnly. "...what if it's my ex-boyfriend?"Mary said. Sake chocked on her soda. "Boyfriend?!...you have boyfriends?"Sake asked. Mary's expressions remained the same as she spoke. "I've belonged in high places before coming here...this fear is familiar. I don't know why."Mary said. Sake's eyes narrowed as she glanced out the window. "What's the worse that could possibly happen? What's the worse that anyone could do to us?"Sake asked. "Besides trying to kill us?"Mary asked as she glanced down at the broken piece of mirror in her hands. "...aren't you afraid,that our existence will be revealed to the human race,and we will be hunted down,like witches in the witch trials?"

Running a hand over his face, Bigby thought about what to do.

 

He couldn't have the mundane police showing up and discovering a bunch of Fables living peacefully...it would destroy the Fable community worldwide...and it was his duty to protect them.

 

He realized the only option was to hide the body....or dispose of it...quickly. He got his cell phone out of his pocket and called Maleficent, "Hey Mal....I need you to come to that grassy area next to the playground...your flames will burn ANYTHING won't they and they won't go crazy so long as you control them? I do NOT want a panic so don't tell anyone else on your way...but Anna and Red found a mundy woman's body...she's been mauled....we need to get rid of her so the mundy police don't show up." Bigby's voice betrayed the guilt he was feeling about what he was asking Maleficent to do....big time.

Maleficent pulled out the cell phone she had been given for her work to see why the infernal device was making noise. She distrusted mundy devices, especially after Jack's "Dot Com Co.".

"Excuse me." She told Peter, the opened the phone and placed it on her ear tentatively.

She listened patiently to Bigby's request.

"Yes, I'm doing just fabulous, my dear Bigby." She said, her voice rather still.

She checked her nails as she considered the request.

,I'm usually too low on magic to help, but I might be able to help this once...for a favor."

Anna carried the sleeping Little Red in her arms. She walked around the Sheriff, pacing back and forth. She finally calmed down. She didn't really notice anything strange either, other than the body and blood. She frowned at Bigby's request. "I know we can't get the mundy police involved..." she muttered. "But the family of this lady."

Peter looked at Maleficent, "What did Bigby want? Can I help?" He looked at the witch hopeful that maybe he would be able to be of use for once instead of being the teenager who knew nothing and was in the way.

 

Rafael looked at Coyote, "I'm gonna finish going through the new stuff, I suggest you stay out of the way and out of trouble as well. As for Bigby... well you know." He walked to the back room and placed the dropped book of fables onto a shelf. He sighed and crouched down to get a better look at the box.

Bigby sighed, "What do you want?" He asked Maleficent through the phone, he glanced over at Anna and sighed again. "I'm gonna have to call you back, Mal." He hung up then and stared over at the body. "What the hell was she doing this far into Fable territory?" Bigby scratched his scruff of a beard and then patted Anna on the shoulder. "You should go get Red home Anna....I'll try to...figure this out."

Anna nodded slightly. She was getting very tired already. She was having a long day as it is. "Fable territory... well, maybe she was just walking? Actually, it looks like she was dragged here...." she muttered, looking over the streaks of blood, making a tiny path. "Just leads into a dead end in the street." she sighed softly. She patted Little Red's back. She just wanted to wake up from this terrible nightmare. A small idea hit her. "Ohh! Don't you have an awesome nose? Maybe you can sniff some stuff." she shrugged. "Think it'd be a good idea finding out who she is?"Coyote grumbled to himself and went to clean up the broken cup. He forgot all about it when he ran outside. "Awright, awright, I'll try my best to stay out of trouble. Y'know, it's not my fault. Y'all keep instagatin' me. Especially Peter. He keeps annoyin' the hell outta me with birds!" he sweeped the glass up roughly from the ground. "Damn birds! Them varmits can go back on to hell or wherever they came from. God, I hate birds so much. Runner was the worst of them all. Chirpin' like they don't give a rat's ass about nothin'. They all can go jump in a ditch for all I care. Oh, and Raf whatever you do, do NOT tell Peter about snakes and me. If he finds out I will slap someone."

Maleficent frowned at her phone after Bigby hung up on her. Best continue this with out...mundy devices.

"He needs some disposal of some mundy remains." She told Peter casually, putting away her phone. "You can come along, if you don't mind some blood."

She winked at Peter and started walking towards the field Bigby had indicated.

Bigby looked at Anna and shook his head, "I can't identify her just by smelling her...I'm not that good." He looked up and spotted Maleficent and...Peter.

 

He grumbled as he approached them, "Why did you bring Peter!? I told you to keep this discreet!" He snapped at her.

"Wait- that's a good thing!" Anna smiled as she ran up to meet the witch and teen. Peter was perfect in this situation, in a very weird way. Slowly, she kneeled down with Little Red still tight in her arms. "Peter, could you do me a favor and maybe play with Little Red at the park while we handle this? Try and just cheer her up. She won't be waking up any time soon." she sighed softly. It was already getting late. She looked up to Maleficent, very happy and grateful at her doing this for them. The last thing they needed was mundy police up their behinds.

"Did you?" Maleficent asked, mock ignorance and sincerity in her voice. "Oh, I am sorry."

She sniffed and looked at the grisly scene.

"So, you want me to give up some of my precious magic to do you a...what is the term...solid? I'm going to need a favor in return, Wolf."

She regarded Anna contemptuously. Like any help was free.

Peter waved happily then looked at the body and immediately frowned. "Uh yeah sure." He took Red and walked over to the nearby park laying her softly down in the grass. He looked back in the direction and couldn't help wondering why Bigby would want to get rid of the body. He kept the thought in the back of her mind as he made sure Little Red's head was supported.

 

Rafael grinned from the back room. "Yeah yeah why would I wanna tell him." He finished unpacking everything and walked up to the front leaning against the counter. "Seems everyone is busy helping out Bigby, can't seem to do his own job without getting all of Fableland involved."
