It was a bright and beautiful day in the somewhat desolate town known as Fableland. Princess Anna of Arendelle, otherwise just known as Anna, was currently sitting in her lovely little shop in a small corner of the main street, waiting for new customers. Because she sold ribbons she hardly got any male customers however she remained cheerful and excited. She fumbled with her green summer dress. It was extremely hot that day. Even hotter than the summers she'd spend back home. She could use some ice right now. Maybe she should have just went into the ice business like Kristoff did. "Another day, another dollar." She chimed to herself.

"Please relax yourself,and we will let the cards speak."Mary gently spoke. She sat at the table that resides next to a window within the shop along with a customer. The shop gave off a gothic nature inside and out,which made it stand out from most shops. It was a shop of wonders for those interested in the dark arts. Especially those mortals. They couldn't get enough of the stuff. Inside the shop the decor was victorian gothic as shelves filled with ingridients,potions,and random items all involving around the art of the oracle. "Do you really think the cards can give me advice on the marriage?"The young customer asked,glancing at Mary's hands as she shuffled the cards in her hands and suddenly settled them down. "We'll see what the cards have to say."Mary said simply as she pulled out the first card and settled it down on the table. "The temperance. Through out the planning of the wedding you two will work together in perfect balance and harmony. Everything will go smoothly,and any small changes will be adaptable. There will be a lot of compromise and cooperation that will,must,be done between you two."Mary explained as she drew and laid down the second card. "The lovers. The wedding will open new possibilities for the both of you,and the connection and union will be completed,love will be most eminent. You two will end up truthfully in love."Mary assures. The girl seems pleased. Mary drew one more card. "The Sun. Joy and happiness will be yours throughout your marriage. There is absolutely nothing to worry on about!"Mary says. The girl seemed to squeal in joy. "Yes! I knew that this would be good,he's a good man...thank you thank you!"The lady smiled as she handed Mary the payment for the session. "Thank you and I hope you have a nice day."Mary said. "Knowing that it will work,I'll have a wonderful day!"The lady smiled as she headed out the store. As she opened the door a dark figure stood in front of her. It was Sake,but she didn't have her surgical mask on at the moment. She gave the lady a smile,but the lady only ended up screaming in terror and running away. Seko groaned as she walked into the store. Mary seemed unnerved. "You scared her."Mary said. "I forgot my surgical mask,realized half way through."Sake simply said as she walked behind the counter and pulled out her surgical mask out of the cash register,wrapping it around her mouth area as she took in a deep breath. "Ahhh the scent of money~"Sake smiled. "That is money that I earned today. You have yet to do your part."Mary added. "Don't worry! That's why I came to get the mask! I'll lure some nice young people in and their big fat wallets and their contents will be ours!"Sake laughed. "If you spend the money on alcohol again-" "I won't,promise."

Little Red walked through the forest. She was humming happily. She had her basket with her.

"So... I should really make my grandma remember me why she lives so deep in the forest."

She sighted and kept going. 

As Little Red kept walking, she looked around. 

"hmm... no wolf this time again."  

She heard rumors about a big bad wolf living around the forest. But Little Red never encountered any wolfs at all.

Little Red knocked on the door. Her grandma opened. "Ah! Thank you, my child. Here, give this to your mom, please."

Its was a special spice that Little Red's mom needs for a special plate. "Thanks grandma! See you soon!"  

Half way there, she looked around and sighted. "No wolfs again. Well, it's okay like this. I really don't want a wolf to eat me whole."

She skipped her way through the forest until she reached her house.

Anna perked up in glee once she saw the familiar Little Red passing by her shop. She was always happy to see Little Red roaming about. She thought the little girl was the cutest thing ever. She quickly went outside her shop, and called out to the girl. Anna had such a terrible bad habit of leaving her shop for various reasons, and for giving her merchandise away to people. If only her older sister was there right now to keep her in line. "Hey Little Red!" Anna called from the door of her shop. "Want some chocolate and ribbons~?" her loud voice could be heard right into Sake and Mary's shop. She heard the scream earlier, but dismissed it only because she heard screams from that store all the time next door. Must have been Sake again... well, just being Sake.

Peter sat on the roof of a short building with a loaf of bread he purchased with the last of his money. "Eh I didn't want to have to work today..." He grumbled to himself sticking the rest of his bread into his mouth. He swung his feet back and forth a few times before jumping off of the roof and onto the street. Peter started off to wander around Fabletown in search of entertainment. He whipped out his flute and brought it up to his mouth playing a melody that was once popular with the lost boys in Neverland. He dropped his flute from his mouth as he watched a lady run screaming from Mary and Sake's shop. He grinned and walked into the shop. "Who did it this time?" He asked in a teasing manner while shoving his flute back into his pocket. He always loved to stop by the shop because one, Mary seemed to be terrified of him. Two, they scared everyone half to death.

Little Red turned heard Anna's voice and turned around, with her eyes gleaming.  "Chocolate? Ribbons?"  She ran to Anna's store. "Yes please!"  she said with excitement. Little Red LOVED sweet stuff, specially cupcakes. 

Anna. Little Red liked Anna. She was sweet and nice to Little Red, and that is why she looks up to Anna. 

 

Little Red sat in the nearest chair, and started eating her chocolate and playing with the ribbons.

Bigby Wolf walked down the sidewalk, Colin in glamour form waddling along beside him.

They spotted Red Riding Hood running into a shop that sold of all things..Ribbons. Bigby tried not to think of...them. 

 

Colin smirked, "You're not gonna cross dress and try eating her again are ya?" Colin teased.

 

Bigby sighed, "I'd rather not be cut open, filled full of stones and take a trip to the bottom of a river, courtesy of the Woodsman....again." 

 

Colin snorted like the pig that he was in laughter, as Bigby lit a cigarette.

Maleficent let out a weary sigh as she finished mixing up new glamuors. She had been given a large batch to make by the other witches. They always kept her busy and drained so that she couldn't get into "mischief." At least Weatherwax didn't make it here from the Homelands. Putting away her equipment, Maleficent stretched and grabbed her walking stick. It had been a long night, but a walk would do her good. She left her little "workshop", giving the old lady who glared at her as she left a grin. It was always fun to mess with her watch dogs. In a walk that looked more befitting an old woman, the witch walked down the street, softly humming to herself.

Mary stood up from her seat as Sake fixed her hair and got ready for another round of stealing. The poor suckers never know what hits them.

 

"Let me smell your breath."Mary demanded. Sake turned and laughed.

 

"You know I just ate lunch and I don't think it's courtesy for someone to ask for a person to open their mouths to see how their breath smells-"Sake said,but before she could finish that sentence Mary had already lifted up the surgical mask and forcibly opened Sake's mouth,much to Sake's dismay and complaints. The scent of alcohol was eminent.

 

"You went drinking already! You shouldn't be drinking so much,especially at this hour in the morning! What are you thinking?!"Mary asked,through her facial expression remained unchanging,the tone of her voice did more than enough to let Sake know that she wasn't very pleased. Sake groaned.

 

"Well I can't kill people what else you expect me to do for fun? Ever since we've had to come to this mortal world is all rules rules rules like seriously I need to do something otherwise it'll be an eternity of boredom!"Sake explained as she waved around a random pair of scissors.

 

"That's not the point,we have to keep ourselves hidden from the mortals,if they see something they'll damn right suspect something. You know even though most of us here are supernatural,there are still human beings wondering among us clueless of their neighbor being the troll under the bridge and we all want it to keep it that way. We can't go around with rumors that the slit-mouth woman moved out of Japan or something."Mary insisted.

 

"You worry too much! The suckers never know what hit em by the time they realize it I've already stolen their money in such a great way they usually think they just dropped it or something,besides,if a guy's going to pay for your drink,why on earth would you decline? It's a free drink!"Sake smiled.

 

"If you get in trouble again I'm not going to Bigby and bailing you out."Mary warned.

 

"Of if it's that cutie I wouldn't want to be bailed out!"Sake smiled as she thought of him. Before Mary could say anymore she saw Peter Pan walk into the store. Her entire body froze as she felt her blood pressure rise. A kid. A child. MIRRORS. Mary screamed as she instantly jumped back,her back hitting the counter so hard the top part of her body flipped back over the counter,falling behind it with her feet in the air. Sake laughed. "Ah just in time Peter! I was about to die of boredom over Mary's rants! That would've been me. I forgot my surgical mask and the lady happened to open the door just at the right time."Sake smiled with a laugh. "That poor b*tch didn't see it coming. Her expression was priceless when I smiled!"Sake laughed. Mary was holding a rune charm from behind the counter,muttering incantations and phrases that were meant to keep evil spirits away. However it didn't work for Peter Pan. Still Mary hoped one day a meteor would fall on every child on earth and the world would be a much better place. "Mary say hit to Peter."Sake insisted.

 

"GO TO THE HELL FROM ONCE YOU CAME!"Mary yelled.

 

"Aw she likes you."Sake smiled as she turned over to Peter. "How you doing today,besides seeing random women screaming while running down the street?"

Peter laughed at the usual reaction from Mary. "Hi Mary" he said waving to the terrified women. He turned his attention back to Sake, "You really should keep that mask on, Mary might not get any more costumers!" He grinned twirling his flute in his fingers. His grin faltered slightly when she inquired about him, "Eh I ran out of money again and back to job hunting." Peter smiled again and shrugged, "Its whatever, comes with being stuck as a 14 year old forever ya know?" He thought about that for moment, "Heh guess ya dont" He rubbed the back of his head. "How has your uh... business been going?" He put air quotes around business and was back to grinning.

Anna giggled gleefully as she welcomed Little Red into the store. She absolutely loved children, in stark contrast to Mary's fear. She felt bad for her, and considered helping her out sometime to get over her fear. She patted Little Red's head, going to retrieve a small cupcake she baked just for her. It was red velvet with chocolate shavings on top of white frosting. "Here you go!" The cupcake even had a red ribbon around it. "And keep the ribbon." she glanced over to the window to see the Sheriff and Colin walking by. "Hey Sheriff and Colin! Come on in! I have something for ya." she knew exactly what everyone liked in terms of sweets. She always made sure to bake everyone's favorites.

Maleficent cocked her head to the side when she heard yelling a street over. Always interested in anything yell worthy, the witch took an alleyway to find the source. She stopped in the mouth of the alley to watch Peter, Mary, and Sake. Any odd mix, Maleficent decided. She didn't have much contact with Mary and Sake, as she felt the witches watching her would frown on that, but Peter she knew a little better.

Sake thought. "I don't know,let me ask."Sake muttered. "Hey Mary! How's business going?!"Sake asked.

 

"Pretty good until you scared the bride-to-be away and that kid walked in!"Mary yelled from her space.

 

"Ah right. We're doing pretty good. To me,I'm doing good myself,those losers are so busy looking at my eyes that by the time I walk away they don't realize I've gotten away with their wallets and watches! It's so easy being a girl with males as dumb as those!"Sake laughed as she spun the pair of scissors in her hands. She then stopped and looked down at Peter. "But you're not like those stupid men you're actually smart and cute."Sake said teasingly as she pinched Peter's cheek. "Hey Mary,why don't you give Peter a job? He needs the money,come on,be nice to him."Sake asked.

 

"No,go away!"Mary insisted.

 

"If you give him a job he'll leave."Sake reminded. Soon she could hear Mary scrambling from behind the desk as she started to mutter under her breath and started to flip through a folder cabinet,looking for some papers. "There we go,now you'll have a paying job for the moment,Peter."Sake smiled as she smirked. "Maybe now I'll be able to head over to the bar and get me some of that strawberry vodka they just received this morning."Sake smirked. Mary suddenly set down a list on the counter along with a considerable amount of money.

 

"Here! Buy me the cupcakes on the list from the shop next door and you can keep one of the cupcakes and the change. J-Just leave!"Mary stammered as she coward in fear again,holding a small handheld mirror in her,glacing at it she could see what every other mirror within the town saw. She glanced down at it for a moment. "And take Sake with you! I don't want to get in trouble with the Sheriff because of her again."Mary insisted.

 

"The Sheriff,where?!"Sake asked as she quickly looked around and saw him and Collin walk by in front of the store and right to Anna's shop. "OH SUGAR HONEY ICED TEA how do I look?!"Sake asked as she quickly got her surgical mask on and fixed her hair.

 

"As horrid as ever now get out!"Mary said frantically as she hid again. "Sorry peter but I can't look at you straight..."

 

"Right,come on Peter,you got a tiny job,and I have a target to pray on."Sake smiled as she played with the scissors in her hands.

Peter grinned," Thanks Mary!" He then walked out of the shop with Sake towards Anna's shop. Anna was always super sweet and way to gullible to any tricks Peter liked to pull, he tended to lay off the tricks around her since she gave him chocolate. He looked down at the list of cupcakes, "Mary has a really strange taste of cupcakes...". He mumbled to himself. He looked over across the street and noticed a familiar silhouette of a women. He smiled and waved at her knowing she probably didn't want to come out and face the crowd. He made a mental note to go and say hi after Mary paid him. "So what kind of cupcake are you gonna get?" He asked Sake looking over at her.

Sake didn't think much of the question as she answered. "Bigby with a top of Collin."Sake muttered,only to to feel a pinch on the back of her head. She hissed,knowing it was Mary as she glared back at her as Mary hid behind the counter. Sake muttered some curse words as she straightened up. "Sincerely I think I want a chocolate cupcake. There's nothing better than chocolate in this world."Sake said as she followed Peter over to Anna's shop,seeing Bigby and Collin just walking right in front of it. "Hey boys!"Sake smiled,even as the surgical mask covered her twisted smile. "You guys are going to get cupcakes too? As long as Bigby doesn't end up eating Red Ridding hood again!"Sake laughed as she glanced inside the shop. Mary stood up from behind the counter,holding the mirror in her hands. She could use any mirror and glass that could have a reflection to see. So there was no problem if she lost a mirror as long as there was another one to replace it. "Why the hell did I invite her to live with me? All she does is flirt,drink,and bring in kids!"Mary shrieked to herself as she shook. She was a kind person,but there was always that reason of kids...she definitely needed help with that. She held onto her mirror as she walked from behind the counter,only to trip on the corner of it and falling forward. As she fell,the mirror fell out of her hands and shattered into pieces. "Oh no."Mary muttered as she sat up and carefully picked up one of the broken mirror pieces,a drop of blood going down her finger as the sharp class cut her skin. She stared at the piece and then back down at the other pieces,and then back at that one piece. "Broken mirrors...that's a very bad omen."

Bigby and Colin looked over at the Ribbon and Cupcake shop when Anna yelled over to them. Colin licked his lips with a bit of an oink. "I hope its a big frosty chocolate cupcake...with no sprinkles for me." Colin practically ran at the store, as fast as his tubby little legs could carry him.

 

"Colin! Be polite! And that means no acting like your usual self!" Bigby stomped out his cigarette and walked over to Anna's shop. He smiled at her, "There's no need to be so formal and call me Sheriff all the time. Bigby is fine."

Bigby and Colin looked over at Sake. "Technically he didn't get a chance to eat her....Woodsman saw to that when he hacked poor Bigby here open and sent him down the river with a stomach full of stones." Colin explained.

"Thanks for the cupcake Anna!" Little Red took a bite out of her cupcake and then the Sheriff and Colin came in the store.

"Good day Sheriff! and hello Colin!"  

Little Red smiled and took another bite out of her cupcake and started playing with 

the ribbon that came with the cupcake.

"This cupcake is great!"  she said to herself.

Anna chuckled softly and rubbed the back of her head. "Ah, alright then, Sherif- I mean Bigby." She almost squealed at Little Red. She couldn't resist patting her head once more. "You're welcome, Little Red. Uuuuu! Isn't she so cute? She's so adorable~" She glanced at Colin, immediately knowing what he'd want; a giant brown cupcake. He came to her shop almost everyday to eat everything. "And hello to you too, Colin. I already have some cupcakes for you. Oh, and I have to get those cupcakes for Sake..." she trailed off, kneeling down to pick the cupcakes from the glass refrigerated display case in front of her. "Would you like something Sheriff- Bigby bah! I could get you a cupcake, a regular slice of cake, or maybe a pretty ribbon~"

Colin snorted a bit and hopped from one foot to another as he waited for his cupcake.

 

Bigby smiled kindly at Anna, "I'll have a slice of red velvet cake, please." He turned to Red, "Oh..um...hello Red." Bigby scratched the back of his head sheepishly. He looked over at Sake and Peter, "Try to behave you two...that stunt Sake pulled in Mary's shop caused me to have to track down that mundie woman and use one of those memory spells on her...I hate using those things...they're so expensive and they look painful when they cause their noses to bleed."

"Hey it wasn't my fault". Peter crossed his arms in a pout then walked over to collect Mary's cupcakes and pay. "Thanks Anna". He smiled and looked over at Sake, "I gonna go give these to Mary." He laughed a little to himself and walked over to Mary's shop. He stopped along the way to noticed Rafael was opening his shop. There were always interesting things to look at in there, never knew what people would bring in. Peter focused his attention back onto the task at hand and walked into the shop. "Oh Maarrryyyy" he sang out holding the box of cupcakes in front of him. 

 

Rafael turned the open sign to show out of his store. He saw Peter walking by and tipped his hat, thought the boy seemed busy with something else. In his mind a busy Peter was the best and only tolerable Peter. He grabbed a broom, swept out the floor a little and propped one door open to let in air. He then looked at his watch, "Late again..." He sighed and looked around for his partner.

Little Red just sat there, eating her cupcake and hearing their conversations about Mary, and Sake, and memory spells. She felt confused and bored.

"Well... I better be on my way, mom's waiting for me. Thanks for the cupcake, Anna!"  She turned around to to Bigby and Colin. "Um... goodbye!"  

As she left Anna's shop, she walked pass by Mary's. Little Red went a bit closer to the shop and looked inside the shop. Mary was picking up pieces of glass and Peter Pan was giving her the cupcakes. Little Red thought of saying Hi to her, but then she remembered something. Mary is afraid of children. If Little Red would get close 

to Mary, she would probably have a panic attack or something. So Little Red kept going her way. 

 

She arrived home. "Mom!" she said. She peeked in her mom's room and saw her packing up her stuff. Little Red went into her mom's room.

"M-Mom? What are you doing? Why are you packing your stuff? Where are you going? she asked in her not happy voice. 

"Oh, Little Red. Um...you see, I have to leave for a couple of weeks. I'll be back soon I promise."  

Then a car arrived at the house. "It's time." she got her suitcase and walked towards the door, and turned around to Little Red, hugged her, and left.

Little Red was capable of caring for herself, but she didn't have any brothers or sisters, so she was alone. She went to the kitchen and started cooking dinner 

for herself.

Anna happily waved Little Red off. "Bye Little Red! Gah, shes so cute." She'll probably never get over it. She took out a big chocolate cupcake with white frosting on top and handed it to Colin. "Hereee you go. And ove red velvet cake it is Bigby!" She went fishing around for a slice of her red velvet cake. She placed it in a paper box with a brown ribbon around it. She happily handed it to Bigby. "Keep the ribbon! I think brown looks good on you~"

 

Meanwhile, a rather grumpy Will E. Coyote walked into Rafael's shop. He looked like he just walked out of bed, which was probably what happened. He saw Pan walking around, and hoped to God the boy will never figure out the fact that he's terrified of snakes. That's the last thing the Coyote needs. It's bad enough Peter keeps annoying the hell out of him with stupid birds. "'Ey Raff." He said, carrying a heavy box in the store. He had parked his red pick-up truck in the back. "Where do you want me to put this? It's just some merchandise that came in."

Bigby took the cake, as Colin snatched his piece greedily and began chowing down right there noisily. "Thank you Anna. I'm sure Colin would say thank you too if his mouth wasn't currently full of chocolate."

 

Bigby watched Red leave, and sighed. "Any chance I can get a red velvet cake made with white frosting made? Just enough to uh...share with...." Bigby blushed and scratched his hair as he took a bite of the slice of cake as he thumbed back towards Red who had left and was walking down the road.

Little Red started cooking her dinner. She might be only 13, but she knew how to take care of herself. While the pot was boiling, she went to her room and changed clothes. "Why did I wear a coat and today?!"  She took off her coat, her boots, and leggings. She then changed into what she usually wears on summer: A red dress just above her knees, with her usual flat shoes, and her braids. She sat down to eat. She looked across the table where her mom always sits. It's empty. 

"Just for a few weeks, and that's it.  

 

After she finished eating, she sat down on the couch and began reading a book.

Mary used a broom to sweep up the shards of glass before throwing them into a trashcan. As she turned around she saw Peter standing there with the box of cupcakes. Just suddenly encountering Peter like that had Mary jumping back against the book case as she could feel her heart about to leap out of her chest from fear. She couldn't look at him straight,so she used her hand to cover her eyes. "T-Thank you! Set it on the counter!"Mary said as she walked over to the cash register and pulled out the promised pay. "Here,t-take it and leave!"Mary said as she settled the money on the counter and once again hid behind the counter. The infamous bloody Mary was afraid of children. Huh. Meanwhile,Sake smiled sheepishly behind her surgical mask as she scratched her cheek. "I forgot the surgical mask...truthfully she opened the door right at the wrong time. I tried to smile to be friendly but she ran off before I could explain anything."Sake chuckled at Collin as he ate his cupcake. "If she had just let me explain to her instead of running off I'm sure it wouldn't have been so bad. So don't scold me so badly,Mary already scolded me enough this morning as it is."Sake said as she rested against the wall. "I promised I wouldn't kill anyone anymore so I'm trying my best,I swear."Sake said with a slight smile as she spun her pair of scissors in her hands.
