Ideas for my RP

A friend suggested that i should try making my own RP and so far I've had some ideas but i want to hear what you would think. Ill write down the ideas I've had and i would appreciate any improvements as well as any comments made to my ideas.

 

Warhammer 40k - This is probably the most obscure one. Well ill put it like this In the distant future the entire galaxy (a different galaxy than ours ill put it up later) is in a huge war. Several races are in war for control. The people who will rp will be one of two races. I've limited the selection to make it easier. So you can chose the space marines the genetically altered humans who are extremely strong though and basically are one of the strongest soldiers ever (keep in mind that there are VERY little of them and they're a little fanatical). the second choice are the imperial guard. Basically normal human soldiers.

 

RWBY - Something that i thought up a while ago. The Rp will take place in beacon academy going through the year. Here there will be teems which will be decided later (probably on a random post by me (you will be able to tell me if you want or don't want someone on your teem)). For the purposes of the actual RP you will be able to make more that one character as long as the total number of characters is dividable by 4.

 

Code geass - I think this one was done several times over but what the heck. You will be able to join one of the three factions that fight for control of japan: The black knights (no surprise there) The rebels that follow Zero's commands (Someone will actually need to play the role of zero but that will be decided later). The holly Britannian empire. The rulers of most of the world. And finally the order of the blue moon. This one is a surprise.

 

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya - I've just got the idea but it seems kind of well ... strange. Anyway here you will be able to chose between human, esper, alien(or something like that) and time traveler ... yea don't ask. So here someone will have to fill the role of none other than Haruhi herself. OK maybe i should explain this. Haruhi is the unknowing god and creator of the universe or something like that and thing happen according to her wishes. The plot for this RP is actually Haruhi transferring to another school and there a fiev people are going to have to keep her happy or the world will end ...were so dead.

Ah, 40K. I could be down for a 40k rp. If we go with Space Marines, would we be allowed to chose our Chapter, or go with just one Chapter for all.

Well ... I was actually thinking that there would be a new chapter or something but everyone weld be definitely able to chose their chapter (If they even know what it is)

Okay. Maybe we'd be something like the Deathwatch, a collection of veterans of different Chapters called together for a purpose. Though...for new comers to 40k, a new Chapter you make up might be a better way to explain it to them. *Shrugs* either way, I'm good.

I'd particularly enjoy a RWBY rp that doesn't die. And I guarantee there are a lot of people who would sign up.

Well everyone likes it when it doesn't die but i have no idea what to do to keep that way. Maybe a timer or something I'm not sure

An RP should definitely have a good story, good set of characters, good settings, powerful magics and abilities, strong and very strong enemies, a key goal that the enemies are working towards, funny comedy moments, awesome romance moments, epic battles, unexpected turns of events, a backstory to fill up the gaps and fill in the connections, ultimate weapons and transformations, philosophical and morality elements and a great ending to leave people wondering will there be a Sequel, Prequel, Side-Story, etc, I hope this advice can help you with your ideas maybe :].

Trust me Firo, I am more or less suffering at the moment with one of my RPs like that also, however, if you truly don't want it to die then relax, take a few deep breaths, take a break if you want to and then resume the RP when your ready, who knows? you might have new ideas in store for it by then :], if people can't wait for you to do that however then don't wait for them, your the RP creator and/or manager, you decide what you will do with the RP but if you don't want to disappoint people then just calmly analyse what it is you think you can do and then go for it, take time but don't wait either, just do what feels honestly natural for you, okay :]?

If you ask me, RP death is more often the problem of the participants than the GM. So to counter that, keep them absorbed and occupied. And don't forget a little bit of freedom to give them the sense that they're in control when really, they're not. That should keep your RPers interested enough to keep going.

I would expect the roleplay to last, for it to have good main villains and characters, and for us to be happy about the end of it.

I would interested to see how you portrayed the 40k universe, along with epic battles.
