Persona 5 hopes and speculation

So, although Persona 5 comes out in Japan this winter, we haven't really heard anything since the announcement so I figure we should speculate while we can.

 

First off, I havn't seen any here and there aren't that many but there are theories floating around that Persona 5 will be another Persona 3 x Persona 4 cross over. I don't see this happening when they've already made it a point to spin Persona 3/4 off into it's own sub-sub series So I think the story will be unconnected except maybe a few vague mention of the events as Persona has a habit of doing this.

 

We also need a new Velvet room proprietor now that Igor's VA is dead. Maybe Philemon should return?

 

The thing I'm really curious about is the new teams Personas

 

The first Persona cast had Personas from multiple mythologies and religions but most where of Japanese decent.

Persona 2's and casts had Greco-Roman personas as did Persona 3's

Personas 4 cast returned to the Japanese theme.

 

I'm hoping Persona 5's team will have Personas derived from Norse mythology simply because it's the second most known mythology after Greco-Roman but no team has ever had them as their initial personas. the same can be said for Egyptian mythology but I would prefer Norse.

Also, maybe all the cast members should have a limited Wild Card ability, Able to summon any persona withing their Arcana, that way the new Portagonist can still be stronger then them by having the true Wild Card ability but they are as shafted as the P3/4 casts.

 

As for Social Links, should they return, this may be asking a little much but I'd be stoked if romance options aren't gender-locked. Even more so if we have more same sex-romance options than the obvious flamboyant./feminine boy. Each Persona team has at least one beefcake, make him a datable option. Personally, I think all age-appropriate social Links should be datable. (we can get into MILFs and DILFs in Persona 6)

 

Anyway those are my hopes, what are yours.

I really hope that there's a new host for the Velvet Room, even before Igor's VA died, Igor said that it was his last time doing his job in Persona 4.

As for the Personas, I was thinking either Hindu or Norse mythology.

And I really wanna play as either a male or female character and have the female be canon!

To be perfectly honest I'm most excited about the graphics. Even though it will likely run on the catherine graphics engine I would still like to see what persona looks like when it is in that style.

I get the feeling Margaret will take over for Igor which will bump up Marie as the new Margaret/Elizabeth. Theo may be there too but since Marie is now doing Margaret's work, he'd be doing what she did in Golden. Since Elizabeth is currently a little too busy, and since she may still by Persona 5, I don't expect to see her there.

a weather girl in Inaba. She doesn't have anything to do with the Velvet Room anymore and just decides what Inaba's weather is going to be.

Besides, she was never a true resident of the Velvet Room to begin with.

For that, I think possibly an older Theodore or an older Margaret will be the replacement for Igor with Marie being the assistant. That would be pretty good to be honest. Cause y'know, Elizabeth is saving Minato and shit. 

 

I was going to make a Top 10 for my YouTube on my hopes for Persona 5 but, I get a new computer in Winter and so does my new channel, Persona 5 comes out in Winter for Japan. So I might just make it on here so I won't share my thoughts here.

I suspect while she may be the Weather Lady, she could still be connected to the Velvet Room but yeah she was really just there to serve Narukami but even then she was called Margaret's apprentice iirc so maybe she sticks around to be trained by her.
